As a guy from New Jersey I was happy to find a diner here in PA. This place has your typical diner food and it is great. The prices are very reasonable and easy to get to off of the highway. Stop in a check it out!

Great food fantastic service. The Monte Cristo has ruined all of the other ones I’ve had

The food was delicious. It was great, homey, comfort food, the prices weren’t bad and the service was good. I had the club sandwich, which came with bacon when the menu said«upon request.» I generally don’t like bacon on my sandwiches, so I had to pick it off. Also, one side of my sandwich had mayo on it and the other side didn’t. Other than that, the turkey was actually carving board turkey rather than lunch meat, which I really liked. My husband had the Reuben and really enjoyed it. He also had the French onion soup, which was delicious and came with Brie cheese melted over top. His sandwich too, though, had half thousand island dressed and the other half didn’t. Otherwise, the food was good and the prices weren’t bad. If we’re ever back on the area, we’d definitely stop again.

I haven’t been here in a while and was pretty bummed when I came in today and noticed that they raised their prices. Truly, one of the reasons I chose to drive here instead of going to a diner much closer to me was because of the prices here. Now they’re priced just like the diner I was avoiding. That being said, service is still great and so is the food. So if this is the closest diner to you, I’d definitely day go for it.

A quick hop off I-81, the parking lot is easy to get in and out of. Had breakfast here this morning with family members living in Chambersburg. This is our«go to» place for breakfast when we visit which is every other month on average. The food is hot, portions are on the large size and inexpensive. The service is relatively fast and the wait staff are friendly, attentive and efficient. From what the family says breakfast is the best meal this location does.

While the Chambersville Family Diner has a local following, for the traveller the breakfast is not awesome. The coffee was also poor. I would not go back.

I would give this place 5 stars but I had such an awful experience with one waitress that I have to give it 3. The food is great! It has a home type feeling to it. I order the BLT with fries and gravy, or sometimes just fries and gravy. I stopped ordering the BLT however, because one time it only have bacon and lettuce in it. And the person I was with, who also ordered the BLT, only have lettuce and tomato in his BLT. The waitress didn’t want to do anything about it and only apologized for the inconvenience. I have also gone here with my boyfriend during later hours and I was the only one who ordered because I was hungry after work. I got the BLT with fries and gravy. I wasn’t able to finish my meal, so we asked the waitress for a box. She was a wonderful server! Except for the fact that it took 25 minutes to receive our box and then another 20 minutes to receive our check. We were expecting to give her an amazing tip, but she wasn’t worth it after that. It wouldn’t have been as bad, but she was continuously walking past us AND looking right in our direction without doing anything. My boyfriend wanted to just get up and leave without paying at that point, but she managed to get us our boxes and check, even if it took another 40 – 50 minutes. I do love this place, the fries are amazing, but I hope they don’t have that waitress anymore. I refuse to sit in her area if she is still working there.

Came in for breakfast this morning had the garden omelette with home fries and peach pie for dessert. Overall The Omelette was okay, home fries were good, peach pie was absolutely disgusting and expensive. All in all i would give the diner 5⁄10 rating. would I come back to the Chambersburg Diner the answer is yes but not anytime soon.

Got a hair not once, but twice on two seperste occasions for breakfast. Working in a restaurant, i know accidents happen. However as a manager, it is extremely important that you make sure the cooks keep their hair hygiene up. Other than that, huge menu, food was always quick and hot, fairly priced with bigportions

We drive past the Diner pretty much every Saturday and there are always a lot of cars there… so we decided to give it a try this past weekend. Walking in you could see that it is a nice local eatery. Being right off of I-81 there was a decent mix of locals and people who you could tell were hungry and picked the Chambersburg exit. I started my meal with a cup of Chicken Dumpling soup(Sadly no matzo balls here, friends). It had a good rich chicken broth and was full of thick dumpling noodles and veggies. I ordered the Open-faced Hot Turkey Sandwich with fries and gravy on everything. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever eaten, but it hit the spot for sure… and who doesn’t LOVE crispy fries covered in gravy, right?! Thumbs up! My husband ordered a bowl of Chili which was hearty and tasty. He also got a Greek Salad which was not very exciting, but what you’d expect for a basic salad with some feta cheese crumbles and 2 stuffed grape leaves. Overall it was a good experience. Will we be racing back next weekend… probably not, but we would definitely eat here again!

This place gets 4 stars for being one of the only non-chain options in this general area. The place is huge, the service is fast, and the menu is extensive. Try one of the paninis. I like the tuna salad panini — it’s overflowing with tuna salad, onions, tomatoes, and cheese. The fries are battered and super crisp and perfect. Even the pickle is tasty. They also serve breakfast all day(24 hours) so it’s a great find if you’re hankering for some steak and eggs in the wee hours. Overall, a great find!

Been here several times for breakfast, lunch, and late night dinner. They have the best diner menu in a 50 mile radius. There are vegetarian options, too. The service is always good and the food consistent in quality and preparation. If you’re traveling on 81 or in the chambersburg area and looking for top notch diner food 24/7, this place is worth checking out.

You want a delicious, great priced breakfast? THIS is THE place to go. They cook your eggs perfectly, the substitute things for you on the menu, and let me say their apple dumplings are the best!!! I have never had a bad server, nor a long wait — even if there is a line waiting for a table. This is my regular breakfast stop– and yes, breakfast is served all day!!!

Visited on a Sunday for lunch. Place has an extensive menu and are very family friendly. I ordered the half chicken with filling for $ 10. It came with crab soup which has very good. The chicken was delicious but it came with instant potatoes which never works. Typical east coast diner food. Free wifi. Fast and friendly service. Waitress was excellent.

Best diner in Chambersburg, PA! Open 24 hours, this little gem was a much needed addition to diner style food in town. They do offer a wide range of food but so far all of it is tasty. Breakfast is typical low cost fill you up kinda food. Dinner you can choose from sandwiches and fries all the way to chicken and steak with delicious veggies. Late night is always fun as the wait staff is vibrant and food comes out quickly. A must try is the disco fries… sounds strange but so good after a good long night of partying!

Exactly what I expected for a diner breakfast. But they also have fun daily specials. The home fries were nice and crispy and the breakfast sandwich was nice and fresh.

It’s hard to find a morning where the Chambersburg Diner isn’t busy, and if you eat there, you’ll know why. Yes, it’s diner food, but it’s a notch above the norm. I’ve only eaten breakfast here, and have done so several times now. This used to be a different restaurant, and when it became the Chambersburg Diner, they remodeled. Nice, high-back booths, some tables, plenty of seating overall. A couple of big TVs, and plenty of servers. You rarely have to wait for anything. Service is friendly and very efficient. Eggs are always cooked just right, not underdone and not rubbery over-done. Home fries are sometimes a tad greasy, but nothing bad. Coffee is decent, not my favorite, but certainly not the worst. As long as it’s hot, it’s good. The omelets are tasty, and very large. «Cheese» is crossed off on the menus on most omelets, apparently due to costs they made that an additive. No problem for me, as I am lactose intolerant and order omelets without cheese anyway. I’ve never tried pancakes or waffles, but the muffins are to die for. Really, this is a superb breakfast spot. It’s also great for travelers since it’s right next to I-81 and near many hotels. The people who run it obviously know what they’re doing, everything runs smoothly and we have always had a good experience.

Burning and Ransoming of Chambersburg 150th July 19th… review is for the 20th. What can I say? It’s a diner… omelets are one of the standard fares and we had two. I got the Greek omelet and it included feta cheese… yummy good and no complaints. My companion got an egg beats omelet with veggies… no complaints there either. Coffee was good, service was good, and they answered my question regarding why *cheese* was scratched off their menu on MOST of the omelets listed. Apparently it is a cost thing… although, I don’t see how a couple slices of cheese would equal 1 dollar which is what you have to pay extra per omelet. Accept the Greek omelet, the cheese is included. :) All in all the experience was pleasant and the food well cooked. Make a point to hit Bender’s Potato Barn right next door.

Really liking the convenience of the diner. Good food and food service. Always busy, but haven’t had to wait. Great for travelers. My favorite breakfast includes home fries. Hubby like chipped beef over Belgium waffles. Omelets are good too. It’s nice to have a place opened 24⁄7 so close.
