It’s was cold and quiet with the exception of a screaming baby. No warm feeling or door greeting for that matter. My 3-year old actually asked me if this was the doctors office. LOL! — and she hates the doctors office. Very cold place — vibe wise. It’s now 22-mins past my 10:30 am appointment — I’ve long filled out the intro paper work and am now sitting in the car in their pkg lot writing this review. I sat alone in the wait room and no one ever said said Hello — not even when they silently handed me the paperwork. Lucky me, this place is literally within walking distance to our home and unfortunately my child care search continues. F.Y.I. It is imperative that I feel that you absolutely love your job and that YOURESTABLISHMENT is a great place to be in — in order for me to feel OK with leaving my child in your care. This was not that place. I witnessed 2 employees get into a tiff behind the counter over ‘who didn’t do what at some other time.” Really? The ONESTAR that I did render is because, honestly it’s A GOODTHING that I saw THIS type of staff service on Day 1 rather than…

In the last week my 2 year old has come home with 3 shirts ruined by paint that won’t come out after a 2 day soak in oxyclean. The teacher says she doesn’t have any«paint shirts», the Co director says they do. I really don’t care. What I do care about, are the ruined clothes my child continues to come home in! Also my child has a doctor’s note on file saying that he needs to eat 3 to 5 times per day. The daycare only provides breakfast, lunch, and a snack. The other morning I brought in an egg and cheese burrito with avocado, blueberries, strawberries and oranges for him to eat, then received a note in his cubby to please being in healthy foods?! When I mentioned it to the teacher she said she has celiac disease… not sure how her dietary issues have ANYTHING to do with my child… especially when every breakfast seems to consist of some kind of bread and canned fruit. Apparently carbs and sugar are OK, but healthy fats, and protein are not… I also want to mention that on several occasions in the last few week’s I have dropped my child off and the classroom has been over ratio by 2 or 3 children and the floors are frequently filthy.

I had experience of dropping my 3 yr old here several times utilizing their flex pass . This place is very chaotic and dirty. Kids are constantly being moved from one room to the other. So called teachers seem very unhappy with their job .We hated their afternoon teacher who is actually a chef but turns into a teacher after 1! She is always yelling and screaming in her broken English even in front of parents. My daughter would fear her every night if she happens to know that next day she is going there. Kids’ class rooms STINK! I almost threw up once when I had to take my daughter to the rest room. We still have several days left on flex pass but will never be going there.

I heard my friends say great things about Tutor Time but I’ve never actually been to one myself until yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and safety of the facility and wanted to share the information I learned with my fellow Unilocalers. The only reason I am not giving Tutor Time 5 stars is because they have a max of 15 infants(with 3 teachers) in the infant room which is way too many babies at one time! Teacher/infant Ratio: 1 to 5 Food storage: use colored labels for breastfeeding versus formula and no microwave :) Cribs: sanitized nightly, request that you bring your own portacrib size sheets, will do swaddling if you request it Infant Curriculum: Basic but better than other places I’ve been to including Language Development, Cognitive Development and Social/Emotional Development. I wish they did sign language here! Report Card: Parents are sent home with a daily Infant Gram that includes what your baby enjoyed that day and any special notes & milestones as well Teacher Education: many of the teachers are currently in school and all have gone through the Tutor Time curriculum and rigorous assessment as well as a background check Playtime: the infants are sometimes taken out for a few minutes if the weather permits but there are plenty of new toys, books and tummy time within the room as well. For the older kids, there was a cool hangout center with an aquarium and mini-theater as well as a Village which includes more activities. Fees: registration $ 125(special right now of 85) and 5 days a week full time for an infant was $ 245 Lisa was our tour guide and she has been working here for 17 years. As she gave us our tour all of the kids ran up to her and hugged her which was great to see. Everyone(kids and employees alike) was happy to be there. :) Hope this information helps you in your search for daycare!
