I had a large solid oak desk that I needed to be moved to the second floor. The guys showed on time, were very professional and friendly. They were very careful with the desk, assuring the didn’t damage it or the walls.
They were on time and the price was reasonable.

We hired Chapel Hill again for our latest and greatest move from Durham to Raleigh. They didn’t disappoint yet again. Patricia was very quick to email me back with an accurate estimate based on our last move. She called the day before to confirm, and the guys were right on time and got right to work. If we had to move again locally (God help us), we would be back in a heartbeat.

This is a great company! The 2 guys were on time and fast! They worked non stop no breaks for about 4 – 5 hours. So fun and friendly! Both movers had great personalities, but Micha stood out because he had such an enthusiastic vibe. Other then moving furniture he makes raw super food chocolate and sells it though local shops. I would hire them again and again! Their pricing was lower then Trosa, and I only needed 2 guys not 5 that trosa provides. If you want a fair price and excellent service with people you can trust, give them a ring!

Moved with this company last year in our move from Seattle. The arrangements were easy and the movers themselves prompt, courteous, efficient, and had a great sense of humor. I can’t wait to move, so I can hire these guys again…

We recently completed a Durham — Cary move with CHMC and it was excellent from start to finish. They did an in-​person estimate, followed up quickly with email, and showed up on the day of the move on time, upbeat, organized and patient (our kitchen was in… disarray). Each of the movers was polite, cheerful, skilled and speedy. Ethan explained the billing clearly and treated his employees well. All our stuff was wrapped well, delivered safely and reassembled as needed. We will definitely work with them again!!! Highly recommended.

I was surprised to see Chapel Hill Moving Company only has two reviews. I thought there would be many. I wasn’t surprised, however, to see both reviews were positive. I couldn’t agree more!
Before making a decision about a moving company, we asked many people for recommendations and Chapel Hill Moving continually was mentioned as the best– especially if you want to move a piano. Before making our final decision, we did get other estimates. Chapel Hill Moving Company’s quote turned out to be very reasonable compared to others.
Ethan and Steven (sorry if it is Stephen) showed up on the dot and got to work right away. They were very careful with all of our household items and they made moving a piano look extremely easy which just can’t be so. These men are professional movers plus they are courteous and friendly. All of the furniture arrived safe and sound and was put exactly where we wanted.
We will need to move more items in a short while and we will definitely call them again. Can’t beat the careful packing and moving and the price! Plus, this is a local company with a long history.

CHMC is AWESOME. I’ve used them every time I moved — from CH to Cary to two places in Durham and then back to Cary. Everytime they’ve been on time, professional, and have had a great sense of humor — like when my cat refused to unwedge herself from my boxsprings. They’ve never caused damage to any of my items. A number of local businesses have also used them for years. You can’t go wrong with these guys!
As a matter of fact, I just wore one of their t-​shirts to the gym this morning.

I have made many, many moves in my life, so when my dad was making a short move I contacted a few places first. I chose Chapel Hill Moving Company. The were not the cheapest by any stretch, but their surprisingly stellar BBB information combined with their professionalism convinced me.
I was not disappointed. They packed up an entire apartment, mostly of books, and delivered everything intact and very quickly even in 90 degree humid weather — and up three flights of stairs. Throughout the entire process their staff, from movers to office, remained courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend them.
