This location is CLOSED! While trying to be «spontaneous» and find a local coffee shop we could go to early in the morn, we stumbled upon this location using the Unilocal app. womp womp… Location is closed as of the weekend before last.

Stopped by on the way out of town after a weekend visit. Kept the ordering simple: latte, cinnamon roll, and sugar & spice donut muffin. The latte was good and strong with a beautiful design(see photos). They do not offer decaf espresso drinks. The cinnamon roll is a 5 star per the cinnamon roll aficionado in the car. It was light for an iced roll and had just the right amount of sweetness. VERYFRESH. Haven’t tried the donut muffin yet but it seems equally fresh. The staff could be a bit more enthusiastic but were all in all pleasant once engaged. Could easily become a five star location.

I’m thrilled Fired Urth came to this space, rather than the likes of a giant coffee purveyor from Seattle. :) These guys focus on QUALITY, and the proof is in the pudding, so to speak. My favorites include: Cinnabee(an amazing latte with local honey and cinnamon), any of their handmade donuts and any quiche they make. I am actually kind of hooked on their lattes, so I make an appearance almost every day during the work week. I highly recommend stopping in for a drink and bite.

Fired Urth just opened this café, on Daniel Island, and I’m smitten. The space is relaxing and warming, the coffee is handcrafted, and the baked goods are really superb. I’ve tried the donuts, scones, and muffins and I haven’t been disappointed. Everything they make is special – a little bit different(read: better) than your typical cookie/scone/etc. Delicate, perfect flavor combinations. The owners take great pride in using as many local products as possible. Each item is handmade with care. You can tell that they go the extra mile in preparing the bakery items, quiches, sandwiches, and drinks. You do have to consider the time that they need to fill each order. This is not a fast service coffee shop. Be patient and enjoy! On a side note, they stock several local items including King of Pops.

Unless you’ve heard about it through a friend, you may not know that a new coffee shop opened up on Daniel Island. Located in the spot where Et Cetera once was, Fired Urth focuses on coffee, espresso, and baked goods. The well-lit corner spot is bright and cheery, but the service not so much. I felt as if the employees were just there to take your order, and not necessarily welcome you to their new joint. Usually outspoken and friendly myself, I even felt a little nervous asking them about the different types of coffee. I ended up with the«Cinn-a-bee,» their signature drink with, you guessed it, cinnamon and honey. The latte was absolutely delicious and such a great mid-morning pick me up. I asked which honey they used, but the female employee only responded with«a local brand.» Well, okay. I’ll definitely back for a latte and maybe a breakfast treat. Here’s hoping I get a smile next time!
