This place is a great spot in Charlottesville. Their queso is authentic and one of the best bowls you can get this far from Texas. Their salsa is excellent, and goes well with the tacos. We have tried the entire menu and everything is great! This is a must for anyone visiting. They have outside seating which is great for kids/dogs.

Best tacos I’ve ever had! Brazos has a great variety! I got the Tres Quesos and Picadillo and they were both amazing! The service was fairly quick and I love the chill atmosphere! There is also a nice outdoor seating area!

Yum! I couldn’t decide between the three vegan taco options, so I just got all three, which was a good decision because my friends who only got two tacos were still hungry afterwards. I think the tacos have changed since some of the reviews-they definitely weren’t double wrapped. I was a little disappointed that all three vegan taco options were basically the same/had the same ingredients with little variation, but a good taco is still a good taco. I’d love to see more variation in the vegan menu, but you can’t go wrong with your basic black bean and guac.

This place has a great feel and great fresh food. They have a bunch of different kinds of tacos including breakfast tacos with egg, veggie tacos, pork, beef and chicken. There are fresh ingredients and you can get flour, corn or organic corn tacos for $ 0.30 more. You can eat inside or outside in a fairly large area. They use square to take your payment on iPads. When we ordered I wasn’t sure if they brought the food to you’ve you had to wait to grab it when the order was up. They do bring the food out to your table. I got the three bean taco on the recommendation of the guy behind the counter and a Carne Asada taco both with the organic corn. We also got the chips and salsa which wasn’t spicy but very good. I want to try every taco on the menu. My friend got both chicken taco options and she loved them as well. It wasn’t cheap, came to $ 9+ but well worth it.

Brazos is a nice take on a classic food item. I had one of their egg-filled tacos, and it was very yummy. We came for breakfast, and I am willing to bet their other tacos are more savory. I just didn’t want to be eating a huge taco first thing in the morning. What I’ve found is that their tacos are simple, but filling. Which is great, I suppose. Pluses: — Lots of seating and a nice location — Food comes out relatively quickly — Very reasonably priced Minuses: — The taco cools quickly, so eat it as soon as you get it

I had the fish tacos and the Carnitas and man they are jam-packed with flavor! Some of the best tacos I’ve had and left me feeling healthy and satisfied! This place has really delicious food that you can easily make gluten-free with organic corn tortillas, which is very appreciated by someone who has a gluten intolerance. Will definitely be my new go to place to stop when driving past or when I am in Charlottesville! Also it is in a really neat location of Charlottesville. I highly recommend this place for stopping and is really convenient if you’re on the go too.

Authentic Texas breakfast tacos — highly recommend for those who’ve been to Austin! We were blown away by the«I Love You so Much» taco. Definitely get one with mashed potatoes! My fiancée and I got 2 tacos each and it wasn’t QUITE enough. Prices are reasonable and the patio is awesome.

Stopped by on a Sunday morning for breakfast tacos. Had a Steak & Eggs and I Love You So Much taco — the S&E was great, but the chorizo on the ILYSM was a bit greasy for my taste in the morning. In all, I really enjoyed it though. Tons of great options with plenty of outdoor seating.

Our friend recommended Brazos for quick snack but it was disappointing. Looks like that people in Charlottesville are little behind food scenes. There was no one in the restaurant service was not that great. I was afraid to ask for glass of water very rude. The tacos very very blend. Go to Saturday Farmers Market and try real tacos.

This place, I dig. An à la carte taco joint that mixes in fresh ingredients with something I never would have thought to put in a taco, potatoes. For under $ 8, a light eater can be full and for a fat kid like me, content. Since it was still AM on my clock, I kept things simple and ordered the«I Love You So Much» taco served with scrambled eggs, house made chorizo, mashed potatoes, roasted corn pico and queso fresco. At $ 3.25, this is the perfect breakfast taco. At $ 3.25, this is the perfect snack. At $ 3.25, one could easily get away with lunch just off this taco(or any of them for that matter). I found the staff to be very friendly, the tables were clean, was pleased that they labeled really spicy sauces at their sauce bar as such. Knowing that I had a drive back to Virginia Beach on a Friday, I had to take my sauce heat into consideration. Bonus — outdoor seating. Soak up the beauty of Chalottesville and sit outside,

Instead of getting Mexican food we decided to come here from other people’s recommendations. One thing that I like was that it was in the«artsy» district of Charlottesville which I like. There is also plenty of room to eat outside. The only qualm I had was that it took about 20 minutes of standing in line to order which I didn’t understand why because I when I ordered it took less than a minute. I attributed it people being picky and wanting certain things. I didn’t hold it against them. I ordered the chips and guacamole with salsa and 2 tacos that had brisket. The chips and salsa were fresh and you can tell the guacamole was fresh as well. They even had a pretty wide selection of salsa as well including a salsa that I’m convinced had wasabi in it. It had a good little kick but it was great. Needless to say the tacos were stellar! The meat was cooked perfectly and I wish I could have eaten more to be honest. Make sure in order to help the people out you keep a sharp ear to listen for your number being called. Nothing’s worse than having the server looking stupid because your not paying attention. Overall this place was awesome. If you come to Charlottesville you HAVE to come here and have a taco. Stellar man. Stellar!

I really like the location and ambience of this place. I came with a friend and got the triple pickle. I have to say, it was one of the most delicious tacos I’ve ever had! The combination of textures and pickles was surprisingly complementary, with red onion pickles, jalapeño pickles and watermelon pickles. The mushroom bruja added a lot to it, as did the refried beans and jalapenos. After this first experience I was at an event catered by Brazos, and unfortunately the meat tacos did not impress me as much. The«solid»(pulled chicken, refried black beans, roasted corn pico, sliced avocado and jack cheese) was pretty dry and kind of bland. The«guisada”(stewed brisket served with pickled jalapeños, chopped white onions, and queso fresco) was more flavorful but also on the dry side.

Brazos is one of my favorite places in town. I love the location with the abundance of outdoor seating that was recently expanded. But the tacos are surely the highlight. I would have never thought to put mashed potatoes on a taco, but Brazos nails it. The potato egg and cheese taco with bacon added is a favorite, as well as the«I Love you So Much» taco. The corn tortillas are perfect, too. There are even paleo options for anyone that is extra health conscious! If you haven’t been, you need to get here. Also, try the watermelon margarita. You won’t be sorry!

The taco was tasty but definitely not the best. It seemed like it was going to be a cheap price but the amount of meat/toppings inside was small. I got the FTW taco and was pretty underwhelmed. The meats weren’t as good as I had hoped. The wait time was also way too long considering I just ordered one tiny taco. The whole experience didn’t live up to my expectations sadly.

These are some seriously fresh and delicious tacos. I finally managed to make my way down here to try them out and was not disappointed. I had a Carnitas taco and a FTW taco, both garnished with fresh avocado and double-wrapped in soft corn tortillas. I was pleasantly surprised by the hint of flavor the corn tortillas gave these tacos; it was a nice extra for customization! The FTW taco was good, lots of flavor packed into the chorizo, but it wasn’t very exciting as far as tacos go(though tacos are awesome so that’s already a pretty high bar for me). Where my meal really shined was the Carnitas. So tender and warm and flavorful, and the slice of avocado and the pickled watermelon just offset the meaty flavors enough to keep me interested without getting in the way of those excellent carnitas. My vegetarian friend was also very happy with her meal of the This Is My Yam, Migas Egg, and Three Pickles tacos. She liked the Three Pickles taco best and was particularly excited about the pickled watermelon. And not only do they have a separate herbivore menu, but there’s also a paleo menu for those who are seeking the caveman diet. Service was fine and the place was clean! We came for dinner so there wasn’t the lunch rush and it was fairly quiet around 5pm. I’m eager to try more of their tacos(especially their brunch tacos), but I’ll have to remember to pay with cash next time to get a $ 2 bill back for $ 2 Tuesdays(if paid with a TJ bill)!

The best tacos in the area!!! Literally everything is good here and they have a ton of options. The tacos are also double wrapped so they’re surprisingly filling. Beware the line can get really long during prime meal hours though.

Brazos Tacos is the perfect place to head on a chilly morning for coffee and breakfast tacos to warm your soul. Brazos opened in a permanent spot at Ix after the owner, who was a founding musician in the Dave Matthews Band, trialed the concept of a pop-up taco stand last fall with overwhelming success. I had heard the buzz since their permanent opening this past June, so I knew I had to check it out. They have a huge menu with varying selections of breakfast tacos and regular tacos and a whole section devoted to vegetarian tacos. We shared five different ones – bacon, potato, egg, & cheese, I Love You So Much, Love, American Style, migas taco with bacon, and the Flora. Man, do I love breakfast tacos. THey were super tasty with fresh ingredients. No worries about poor quality coffee because they serve delicious Mudhouse Coffee. I really want to go back to try their regular tacos and especially the guacamole. If you follow them on social media, they’re always posting about their daily specials. They also have a super cute patio that I’ll have to grab a spot on once the weather warms up again.

THEHOLYGRAILOFTACOS. HOLYGUACAMOLE. Every day bogof breakfast tacos 7 – 9 am. Individually the tacos are a bit pricy, but when you come to the specials, it’s the best day ever! Tuesdays are 2 $ if you use a 2 $ TJ bill ;D Some of breakfast tacos have mashed potatoes inside and wow it’s such a, great contrast to the eggs and bacon or meat! The venue is also rather large, open and bright. I cannot wait to come back and try their other items!

Brazos Tacos? More like bravo, tacos! This is an à la carte taco restaurant that reintroduces a fresh twist of new ingredients such as sweet potatoes and combines them with classic taco components. Each taco ranges between $ 3.25−3.75; if you’re a light eater order 2, if you’re starving go with 3 – 4 tacos. I ordered the«Carnitas» with tender cubed and succulent pieces of meat as well as «Pork Star» the special with pork belly and an order of their Chicken Tortilla Soup. I would say the Pork Star was good, but the Carnitas was great; a true showcase of tender loving care of protein, spice, and precision cooking. The corn tortilla option was delicious and had a light underlying corn flavor that reminded me of authentic hand mades at a friend’s house. Chicken Tortilla Soup was surprisingly tasty and felt a bit like a hot gazpacho with fresh slivers of avocado garnish. The staff was nice, the tables were clean, and the drink and sauce bar were easily accessible. The interior was large, airy, and had ample indoor and outdoor seating. This place was packed during lunch on a weekday! According to my friend, if you order online you’re able to beat the rush. Happy eating folks!

Downright bomb/fire/dope/awesome tacos. Best I’ve had in Cville. Huge number of unique options, each with their own flair and flavor. Among a number of specialty tacos, my girlfriend and I got the FTW and Philly cheese steak(one of the specials), and they were divine. The tacos each run from about $ 3 to $ 6, which on the surface seems a bit pricy, but these tacos are VERY filling. Each one is loaded with fresh ingredients and flavor. Even just two are enough to fill the stomach! Tortillas were soft and did not break under the weight of the filling ingredients, which were just enough without having a lot of spillover. Interior is very well-lit and has nice modern-esque(?) décor. Food also came in a jiffy in about maybe 10 – 12 minutes tops. I definitely will be returning!
