Two Guys Tacos

Two guys is as good as you get for cheap eats in Cville. Open late, the staff is down to joke around with you, and the food is pretty good. I’m no taco connoisseur, but had a great time getting a quick bite here.

This could be great food if only they tried a little harder, I ordered from a delivery service, traveling on business, not familiar with the area. Wish I had read the reviews before ordering. stated I was in a hotel and needed silverware, no silverware, no napkins, food completely soggy. You can tell it was fairly good when it was fresh but it was way past no bueno by the time it got to me. If they wrapped the items separately from the corn tortillas, that could fix the issue. BTW pork belly and pulled pork are not the same thing but the mango salsa was good. Just a little more effort and it could have been a good experience. Based on past reviews and my experience, these 2 guys need to step up their game

My favorite taco place in Charlottesville! It’s cheap, delicious, and perfection in taco form. The meat is fresh and delicious and the toppings compliment the flavors perfectly. I love it!

Only stars are because my chicken quesadilla was pretty good and I got free guac. Honestly though, they weren’t good enough to deal with the terrible service. The woman taking people’s orders was extremely rude. She didn’t give one guy his food because he didn’t have his receipt, even though there were 5 people in the restaurant. The cook was laughing at customers. It was unpleasant. Also, there’s no seating because this place actually is a hole in the wall. Go only if you’re intoxicated enough to be ok with very rude people.

I watched the owner verbally assault a female patron. I was horrified. Never going here again. Food is mediocre at best.

Got the Philly cheesesteak burrito and 2 tacos (pork and shrimp). Made my order to go because I didn’t have much time for lunch. The tacos were soggy when I opened them so it was hard to eat. They basically fell apart so I had to use utensils to eat them they were okay. The burrito was better. I ordered a side of queso which made the tacos and better better. Overall, the food was decent.

I get lunch from their Taco Truck all the time. Superior quality every time! And talk about fast!!!

These tacos are fantastic and the service is great as well! I’ve loved every kind of taco I’ve tried and the fresh chips, salsa, and quac are addicting. This is the the best corner dining to be had for a great price!

I currently suffer from a syndrome of chronic taco cravings, and I’m 99% sure that Two guys is the reason. This place is the bomb.
I’ve never ordered delivery from here but regular trips to the Corner location is a regular practice of mine, because you can’t beat their tacos for the price. Pork belly tacos are my go-​to because they are just ah-​mazing, and their loaded nachos are also a local favorite. They also recently added the Philly Cheesesteak burrito to their menu which is simple delicious.
My girlfriend and I have visited this place enough for one of their employees (yo Alex!) to recognize us and remember our usual order. Pro tip: always order a side of queso for 85 cents and add it to your tacos. It makes them hella good.
Quite frankly Two guys has been solid every time we’ve come here, both sober and drunk. But I don’t think I need to explain much more than drunk tacos after a late-​night outing at the Corner is probably my favorite pastime at UVA. Is that a little sad? heck no, because two guys is the move.

I was accosted in the line by the chef. He said «you guys are really pissing me off right now shut the f**k up.» Very unprofessional. Never eating at this restaurant again unless very drunk and willing to fight for my food.

I dream about their roasted veggie burrito, it’s like the tastiest vegetarian option on the corner. And the customer service is great, they’re on grub hub, and the chips are really good too.

This is definitely my favorite GO TO place for tacos. Steve, the owner, is very friendly, and I’m glad to see a familiar face everytime I go there. The pork belly tacos ARE SO AMAZING. Chicken, beef, pork, amazing too! I’m glad not to be eating the usual flour tortillas, whatever they use, it’s delicious. Also, their queso is a must buy, and for 85 cents for a good sized cup, ohmygosh yum. Whether it’s for lunch or late night, it’s definitely a yummy and wallet-​friendly option.

When Boylan Heights failed to meet my dining needs, I found myself at this little spot and was really happy. The young lady working the counter was so friendly and helpful. The tacos were delicious and appropriately priced. I do wish they had more seating room but I still enjoyed the food and environment and will definitely be back next time I stop through Charlottesville!

Tried out the Two-​dollar Taco Tuesday special and would only come back now if this was a late-​night option. The meat was sooooo dry and tasteless, the tortillas were not warmed up, and there was no spice in the salsa (basically just cut-​up tomatoes).
Saving grace: The only part of the meal I enjoyed was the side of chips and guac my friend ordered because the chips were just fried.

I travel to C-​ville regularly for work at UVA, so I’ve hit Two Guys Tacos several times and have always been pleased. I love the pineapple salsa on the pork tacos and their guacamole is fantastic. The beef tacos were a little bland, but that may simply be because I enjoyed the pork so much and expected to be wowed by the beef, too. I like the outside seating, especially in the spring and the service is always nice. They are a bit slower than fast-​food chains, but I think the food is better, too.

This place is good. Would I travel to eat here? Probably not. But being .3 miles from the hospital it is convenient. We ate here three times during our stay. It’s very reasonably priced and big portions. We liked the nachos.

Unfortunately i did not read Unilocal before trying this place. The empanada is a complete joke. It should be illegal to call that an empanada. The tacos had too much filling, and the meat was bland — pork tasted like chicken. I threw out my second taco. I would not recommend going there at all.

Anyway, ordered four different types of tacos: chicken, beef, pork, and fish. All but the beef were quite disappointing and, to differing degrees, reminded me of Taco Bell (perhaps that’s a sign you should come only when drunk). The chicken was very greasy and the pork was dry. The fish tacos were probably the worst offenders: The flavor of grease in the fried exterior was quite potent, the fish was dry, and there was barely any fish to begin with. The beef was least offensive – while dry, it was somewhat flavorful.
The best parts of 2 Guys is not the food. It’s (1) $ 2 taco Tuesdays which makes this place tolerable for a quick and cheap bite, (2) the only delivery option for «Mexican», and (3) another choice for late-​night eats (and the food is far more satisfying when drunk).

I went here with a friend and I apologize for being harsh but the tacos here were the worst I’ve ever eaten.
The meat was shredded, dry and warm, at best and definitely not cooked to order. The tortillas were stale and the white crema sauce in the tacos was sour and overpowering. The smokiness of the shredded pork did not pair well with the bitterness of the sauce. The diced tomatoes and unmelted cheese screamed Taco Bell to me.
My friend ordered a fish taco and was disappointed by how little fish meat was offered. The serving of meat in my tacos was decent but I swear the fish taco literally had one small nugget of fried fish and the remnants of bits that had broken off.
We went here at around 8 or 9pm on a Saturday and there was only one person who took the order and cooked the meal. He wasn’t friendly and didn’t seem like he wanted to be there. For a restaurant business that’s fairly new, I would expect a little more of an inviting attitude.
Granted, my rating is based off of one experience dining there and perhaps this place can turn it around but I have no desire to go back.

I was visiting my friend in Cville when we had the hankering for some fish tacos. As much as I love hole in the wall establishments, Two Guys Tacos did not deliver.
The tacos were good. The pricing and service was not. For $ 5 you get two, relatively small tacos. And that goes for any style taco, not just fish. For $ 5, I should get three tacos or some chips at the very least. Two tacos will not fill you up. To top it off, I was given a leaky cup to hold my beverage. Normally, I wouldn’t complain about this. However, my friend mentioned he also received a leaky cup the last time he was there. Get new cups, guys.
Pricey, ho-​hum employees, skimpy portions and leaky cups. Two Guys Tacos = Two Star Tacos.
