This has to be the worst bowling place I have ever been to. They were very busy and I always take that into consideration. However, because it was so busy, you should have more staff on the floor! The bar tender could not handle it, they should have at least 2 people working. Then the waitress, after she dropped off the food to me after I ordered at the bar, we never saw her again. We had to stop someone else to order a big pitcher of beer. It almost took 20 minutes. After we continuously had to stop her and ask where it was she would come up with some excuse. We ended up canceling it. We only played 2 games and left. This place needs some serious management help! I will not be returning to this place ever again!

This place needs help! The wait for a lane was a little over an hour(understandable). During our wait we decided to have a few drinks at the bar. We waited at the bar for 20 minutes and was never acknowledged. The bartender was rushing back and fourth but not making any progress. We literally watched her make 3 drinks in that total 20 minutes. The bar was covered in dirty empty glasses. 90% of the people waiting to order just walked away, as we did as well. Maybe we’ll get faster service from the server.

I am not much of a ten pin bowler, I grew up playing duck pin and there is only one alley in Chesapeake. We just signed little man up for the Saturday morning pee-wee league. The cost is rather cheap at $ 11 sign up and a $ 9 weekly fee. He enjoys his time there. They offer coaching and make up dates for bowling throughout the week in case you cannot make the Saturday morning league games. They also offer a bowling camp for two hours on Friday night’s which is great for my little guy. I am glad we signed him up and it’s rather close to our house. The league caters to ages 4 – 18.

This is one of the bigger, better and nicer AMF lanes that I have been to. Lots of lanes with huge tv’s. We got here around 8:30p on a Saturday night, they were packed and had a 45 minute wait to get a lane luckily there are other things to do while waiting like play pool, I think I saw an air hockey table, order food etc. but we decided to try the other AMF on Indian River Rd which also had a 45 min wait :-/

I grew up going to this Bowling place, and now I rarely go. I ve been there recently and they have change the exterior by painting the outside boldly with it majority red and added colored spot lights that canvas the masonry walls. Which I believe they did that, bc people pass and didnt notice it before. They have specials during the week, like Unlimited bowling. Came here on a Sunday night around 6ish, games are $ 3 a game, not including shoe rentals which were almost $ 5 per person. They have tournaments on Sundays, so it’s packed on Sundays. They have waitresses come to your section for any refreshments needed. It’s a great place to have fun with a bunch of friends and/or family. Customer service were very friendly, and I recommend anyone who is a rookie, professional, or anyone who just loves to bowl for fun, to go and/or try this place!!!

DONOTBUYANYGIFTCARDS from AMF!!! I got a gift card for Christmas and before I could use it the AMF location in my area shut down. There isn’t another location for literally 500 miles and the company refused to give any money back/any compensation whatsoever for the lost value. It does not expire, BUT it is a failing business so it’s likely yours will shut down too. Terrible company, terrible customer service.

First, the bathroom is so much nicer than expected. I say this because before arriving a friend expressed a fear of bowling alley restrooms. Everyone was nice. I was greeted immediately as I approached the counter, handed my shoes and directed to our lane. Service was great. Basically it was a fun time for all and there is ample parking here. The fries are tasty.

This location is amazing, it’s spacious and not over crowding. You have games that you can play if you’re waiting for a lane, their prices are reasonable, the only complaint I had was the bar area. The bartender did not pay me any attention, she was too busy trying to get drinks to a pool table full of guys that were not paying her any mind. Do your job and stay at the bar and tend to everyone who was waiting.

Not a good place if you want to practice for your league, the staff seems to enjoy placing novice bowlers with no sense of bowling etiquette next to us. Basically a poorly managed facility

Went for midnight bowling where you get shoe rental and unlimited bowling until 1am. My guy and I also got food and drinks. The drinks were the good. The food was bleh. I get that this is a bowling alley, but my bread was stale and they left items off of my sandwich. I would go with pizza and beer or fries and drinks. Don’t expect too much on the culinary end. It was a blast though. They have a computer where you take your picture and they place your face on random characters. It was fun. We will definitely be back.

This is my favorite place to go to bowl! We usually go on a Friday night, and it’s a hit or miss as far as waiting. There are times when we did not have to wait at all, and times we had to wait for 45 minutes. The cool deal that they offer is $ 20 for unlimited bowling for 2 hours(it includes shoes). If not, it is $ 10 for shoes and 1 game($ 5 every additional game). Depending on how many people you are with, it may be cheaper just to pay for 2 games($ 15) instead of doing the full 2 hours. What I also like about this place, are the big screens playing music videos. I would not suggest ordering a mixed drink, as it is a bit pricey. It is definitely lots of fun listening to music, drinking a pitcher of beer, and hanging out with friends.

So, my first impression when I walk in here, was like, «Wow, this place looks the same as it did 15 years ago!” – LOL. So, it could definitely use a little updating, to say the least. I used to be in a bowling league in high school and middle school, but I always bowled at Indian RIver back then. It is a pretty standard bowling alley overall. My brother and I were a bit shocked at how much it was going to be to bowl, but we went for it anyway and we used a group deal they offer… so we had 7 people, 2 lanes and it was about $ 100 for 2 hours but thank goodness that group rate came with a heavily grease-soiled pizza for«free” – Ha – great. They also have a pool table, air hockey, and a few of those worthless claw games. The staff all seemed pretty nice, at least, even when one of the kids in our group kept getting the ball stuck down the lane. What can I say, if you wanna bowl, this place will suit your needs, but it’s nothing special.

Thank goodness smoking isn’t allowed at this bowling alley anymore. I went there for a private fundraiser and the place was great for the event. They had more pools tables than most alleys I’ve been to. Overall place was pretty clean and the staff was pretty friendly. Not super classy but it’s a bowling alley. It served its purpose and I’ll certainly go back there again. Pizza was pretty good given that it was just quick food. Pitchers at $ 11-$ 15 seemed sort of high prices but was expected.

Last night, on my second trip to this bowling establishment, I was going to take a photo of the entrance until I saw all the bird crud coating the chalet windows and beams under the overhang. Seriously, get the newbie to go clean that stuff up. There were 5 or 6 pool tables near the bar at the front entrance; somebody had their kid in his car seat and all the baby gear on top of one of the tables when we arrived, and I was wondering why the staff allowed that to continue for awhile. We arrived for the $ 10 for all you can bowl after 9pm(until midnight) that includes shoes. No discount if you bring your own. The ten of us were able to get three lanes together, so everyone was bowling and not just waiting incredibly long for their turn. I’m a leftie and have sporadic success with house balls, so I usually resign myself to an occasionally decent strike amongst myriad misses. However, the two I used were decent and I kept the serial numbers so I know which two to grab next time. Nobody blamed the lane oil this time, which is always nice. After four games we culminated and went home happy. Haven’t tried the food yet; something about not wanting a heart attack when so young. Somebody got the chili-cheese fries, which looked like a challenge for Man-vs-Food. Everyone else went for either soda or water, so the festivities remained fairly focused on knocking down those elusive little things at the other end… The bar staff did swing by once or twice asking if anyone needed a beverage. The pro shop was closed before 9pm. Points off for a dirty window and kid in the carseat on the table. Hope this wasn’t too verbose for a bowling alley review.

GOOD pizzas, good mixed drinks, and very nice bowling lanes. It is the nicest bowling center in Chesapeake. It is pricey, but worth to spend the night bowling at this place as it closes at midnight or later(I think it closes at 2am on some days, but it has been a while since I went there). I frequent there for the pool tables, because they do have a few very nice pool tables. For the mixed drinks, it is a bit pricey, but they always make the drinks in a very large cups and that made up for the high prices.
