Wanted to try out a new place that seemed to offer some healthier choices then the average fast food location. I defiantly hit the mark with this place, while quickly made, the quality of food isn’t that of your run of the mill fast food joint. I had never been before so I was not sure what to order, asked the staff for suggestions and they weren’t very helpful and seemed preoccupied with other things. So, I ended up with the stir fry bowl which was brown rice, chicken and teriyaki sauce. I ordered the small which was plenty of food. The sauce bar was nice to add some additional flavor to my bowl. The chicken was cooked just how I like it with plenty of flavor, but I would say next time I will ask for light on the dressing as my rice and veggies were drowning in teriyaki sauce. Given I love the flavor of teriyaki, I just was wanting a healthier option and didn’t want my rice and veggies sinking like the Titanic. I am more then happy to give this place another shot and plan on it, just will make a few adjustments next time!

I usually love this place but was underwhelmed to pay $ 9 and change for a buffalo chicken wrap with three tiny pieces of chicken in it. It was almost all lettuce, quinoa and sauce. Also, check your menu board if you’re going to serve items from other cultures. «Tzatziki» is spelled«Tadziki» on the Mediterranean Wrap and that’s kind of embarrassing.

Ok let me preface this. I go to CBW a LOT. At least once a week. I usually go to the one on Olive in Creve Coeur or the one on Lindell in STL. I decided to try this one out just a few minutes ago because it was close. I know what to expect with the food etc so this rating isn’t due to that. The woman behind the counter was very very rude to me even though I knew exactly what I wanted and greeted her with a smile. She had a rude look on her face the entire time. She seemed annoyed that I wanted it «for here» instead of to go. I sat down and got my order and she delivered it and I said thank you and she just walked away. I’ve never been treated this way. I always get tofu and noticed right off the bat there was a piece of chicken in my bowl. Thankfully I picked it out and looked through to make sure there wasn’t any more chicken(I am vegan) and I can’t say I’d be surprised if it was purposely put in there. I won’t return to this location.

I frequent CBW at locations across the metro area and the Clarkson location is the worst by far. It seems to always be dirty, the tables are not cleaned off regularly and they leave tubs of dirty bowls and silverware out for what appears to be several hours. The staff are not very pleasant. The food prep and taste does not seem to be on par with other locations. Unfortunately I recently moved and this is the closest location to my new address.

Crazy Bowls — Crazy Amazing! How in the world can this place only get three stars on average. Those folks obviously didn’t eat at the same place I did, because I can’t wait to go back. Walked in during a weekday for lunch and there was virtually zero line. It was my first time and I asked for a recommendation as I really wasn’t sure what this place really was. Super nice gal behind the counter and she made the recommendation for the fajita bowl. Sure, why not, I have no idea what I’m getting in to. I chose the small bowl and chicken for the protein and then had the option to choose quinoa instead of rice. OOOH! You’re getting my attention with the quinoa! I was given a number and took a seat and the meal was out in just a few minutes. Piping hot and kept thinking through the entire meal how delicious it was. Grilled chicken, summer squash and zucchini, shredded cheese and some sort of sauce that blew my mind. I noted some sort of sauce and hummus bar by the water and soda machines but there was no need for my dish. It was perfect just the way it was. Whole new world of comfort food here… Great job!

Love CBW, they just started serving soups also! If you’ve never been, my 2 favorite things here are the chicken pesto bowl with white rice and anything with their creamy buffalo sauce, it’s so good I can almost drink it! Also a great place to not drink soda! They have a few tea options and the labels show you much caffeine is in them.

What has happened to Crazy Bowls??? I have been a customer since the days they were called Bonzai and although I eat there in spurts, it has always been good. That is until my last visit 3 weeks ago. Nothing about the visit was good. I placed my order for a chicken teriyaki bowl with dark meat. The food that arrived looked like white meat of chicken and when I asked the server to replace it with the dark meat I ordered I was told they no longer have dark meat. I asked why this was not mentioned when I ordered and she shrugged as if I had asked her to explain the theory of relativity. I proceeded to eat it anyway and the chicken was dry, tough and tasteless. No knife was served and I had to eat like a caveman, ripping off bite-sized pieces of chicken with my teeth while holding it with my fork. I was so dissatisfied that I went to the Crazy Bowls website and described my experience. It has been 3 weeks and I have not heard a word. Guess that pretty much explains it. They now have a more limited menu, serve food that is bad and they don’t care. They won’t see me back any time soon, nor the co-workers, friends and relatives with whom I have shared this information.

Horrible! After coming here for 6 years the food and service is bad. The hummus was sour, with little balls and tasted like it had gone bad!!! The teenagers that worked where sitting in the tables on break I guess. Also what is with the 90’s alternative music, nirvana, 311, etc no place for families with rock music like that. The 90’s has been there for years but it was pop now it is rock!!! Finally the food is tasteless with was not the case the past 15 we have been there, AVOID.

If you are going to this place thinking healthier then think twice because the servings contain very few veggies or white meat and more of noodles or rice. Moreover, there is more of cabbage than other meaningful veggies such as broccoli or edamamme. The salmon is also farm raised and not sure what quality salmon you can get that cheap. The sauces are also high in high fructose corn syrup. So think again if eating healthy is your reason for choosing this place. Sorry for ruining it for you.

Good fresh healthy fast Japanese fusion. Tables could be cleaned more often and they should bring back the smoothies. Fun upscale décor.

If your looking for good food and a family atmosphere look elsewhere! The food has plummeted from its glory days. Not sure what happened? For one thing the hummus was clumpy and had a fowl odor and sour taste. One of the highlights of cbw used to be the sauces you could add to your dish or just eat them with chips. I kindly told the cashier and she let me know that the chef would make another one. We waited for 10 minutes for hummus until we eventually gave up. The atmosphere used to be for families with 90s soft rock music. Today I was surprised to have dined with a heavy rock atmosphere where our family with children could not wait to leave. We will never dine here again. Never Again! Sorry cbw, you just lost faithful customers.

This place doesn’t disappoint. I’ve ordered the Tostada salad several times and it’s consistently delicious. Give this place a try. You’ll like it!

I love me some CBW!!! I think I could eat it seven days a week and am pretty sure I did over the winter. The chicken pesto griller is where it’s at and the black bean egg roll is major noms! Their chips are fresh and crispy with the perfect amount of salt and the corn salsa is a great accompaniment. Their dessert option is rice krispy treats — one of my all time favorite childhood throw backs. Just when I didn’t think it could get any better they added full leaf, organic teas. Kudos!

Good healthy food. I get various things that are all really good. When I am not being so healthy I get the buffalo chicken wrap with the«crunchy chicken» and when I am being healthy – I get the teriyaki chicken bowl with brown rice and vegetables.

I have been to this location several times. DIned in, carry out both. Their food is simple, healthy and most of all delicious. Healthy food and delicious is a difficult combination :-) I tried their falafel wrap, pad thai, and asian chicken bowl. Generous portions I would say. Apprecite the nice staff they have. One lady in particular whose name I unfortunately do not know. She noticed that I was charged more when I did not realize that myself! Saved me a few $. This means a lot since this incident happend when the place was very busy, many orders being phoned in, many people in line and a new trainee at the cash register! I hope the manager notices her effort and gives her a raise.

I go to Crazy Bowl locations all over town but this one is closest to home so I’m there on a regular basis. Like all Crazy Bowl locations the service is efficient and the food is a good value for the lunch dollar. I don’t venture all over their menu but my regular bowl orders are always good and consistent. There was a brief spell when, for whatever reason they scrimped on the sauce(this location only) but that seems to have been addressed.

Food is good, dining area has nice big booths. This location suffers from poor management, so be prepared to wait and double-check your order.

Wow! This was crazy good! We hadn’t really eatten before driving from St. Louis to the Butterfly House, so by the time we left, we were famished. My brother recommended it because there are other locations in St. Louis that he had tried. For the rest of us, this was a new experience. It reminded me of Noodles & Co. back home but with more choices… My mom and I split the chicken fajita bowl(spicy!!!). My brother had the pad thai noodle bowl and my dad picked the broccoli bowl with grilled chicken and teriyaki. For quick, well priced, fresh fast food… this was delish! My only wish now is a location back at home!
