First time here. From the outside I didn’t expect what I saw inside. Very nice and clean sports bar. Had to hot corned beef on a roll asked the waitress what’s the difference between the full and colossal. She said most order the full. I’m not most eaters I should have ordered the colossal. There’s always next time. Had sweet potato fries with my corned beef. Nice and crispy sweet potato fries. Had a couple boulevard wheat beers. Nice and cold. Had a piece of my wife’s grilled chicken sandwich. It wasn’t bad. Hard to mess up a grilled chicken sandwich. Waitress’s where nice. I will be back. Had the game time cardinals sampler. The pulled pork sliders where great, toasted ravs where good, buffalo chicken wings where spicy and the chicken quesadilla was good. A lot of food to eat by yourself. So I shared some with the wife and daughter.

Not the best ribs I have ever had however my standards for ribs are kind of high. I had the ribs with coleslaw, potato salad, and baked beans. The coleslaw and potato salad were great but the beans tasted over peppered. The ribs were good not great and the service was good.

The food is good and the bar area is great. The beer selection could be better and the service is slow. This review is based on multiple visits within the past few months.

Food is good quality. Specialize in corned beef and BBQ beef brisket. Open sports bar scene with wayyy too many TV’s. Lively for local STL sports teams. Very quiet weeknights when no STL team is playing. Usually service is slow. Good after hour appetizer and drink specials(that’s when we go).

Everything good but service is real bad. I would eat here again just don’t expect great service if you like to eat and be left alone go for it. Loved my bbq burger

I visited Lester’s in Chesterfield last week and had horrible service. I was trying not to go public on social media about this but I cannot get a hold of the GM and when I did he told me that the Cardinal’s game was starting soon and it wasn’t a good time– Cards started at 7:30, I called at 4p? I sent the following email to the GM on Friday Oct 4th: «I just want to let you know of my experience I had in your restaurant on Friday October 4th. I am a local Ballwin resident who moved here from Atlanta a year ago. As I was thinking of places to go on Friday night I knew Lester’s would be my place as I would be able to watch the Brave’s game(I know, I know I should be a Cards fan). Well being a Brave’s fan I wore my Brave’s Jersey and received terrible service I believe because of this. I walked in and the host was busy assisting another guest, I asked if I could sit at the bar and she told me to go right ahead. When I sat down the bartender, I believe I heard his name was Brian, walked up and asked „What do you want?“ I asked if he had Fireball Whiskey and his response was a quick no so I ordered water for the time being. While waiting for him to come back I watched another couple walk-in, receive their drinks, order, and get their food before anyone even offered me a menu or asked if I needed a drink. I was about to walk out when one of the female bartender’s asked me if I needed a menu. She gave me one and walked away very quickly. Once I decided on a meal I closed my menu and waited for someone to walk around. In the mean time I watched the bartenders check on the other guests and do what looked like was inventory. 10⁄15 minutes later Brian walked by and took my order. He put in my order and immediately placed my check in front of me, this was the last interaction I had with anyone other than the person who brought me my food. Once I did get my food I had to flag someone who walked past me to even get napkins and silverware. I watched these same bartenders and server’s check on everyone around me and yet again not even look at me or acknowledge me when I was trying to order a beer. Needless to say I ate my food and left. I was planning on spending some money to be able to eat dinner and have a couple of drinks while watching the game, but after being ignored for so long I did not feel welcomed in your establishment. I would love to say I plan on eating there in the future, but at this point I am not so sure I would come back to risk that kind of service again.» Because of the TERRIBLE service I have received from not only the staff but also the manager I will refuse to ever come back. I work in the customer service industry and if my associates acted the way I was treated towards my guests, there would be some serious coaching. I only want to share this now so that hopefully others will not be treated the way that I was treated by thestaff in Chesterfield.

Refused to substitute for their high carb sides and my sandwich that was supposed to come on rye came on a crappy bun.

Although I considered getting the 10oz pastrami sandwich, I got the 5oz instead and am glad I did since it was dry, salty and not worth $ 9.50. The shoestring french fires however were good. Our wait staff was pleasant an did offer to replace the sandwich but I didn’t want to wait.

The waiter was not very attentive, which is a shame because I have been to the one in the CWE and they are much better even with the larger amounts of crowds. My aunt was served cold chili and the chicken my wrap was pinkish. About the only positive from this visit were the pretzels and cheese sauce-absolutely delicious.

Been going to Lester’s for several years now. Have been to the Ladue location(near Highway 40), but seem to go to the location at 14810 Clayton Road. I believe that it used to be a Fitz’s Root Beer location before it was converted to Lester’s. We tend to get there about 11:20AM — the place is large, but seems to never be very full. It never gets very full — unless there is March Madness going on. I have never been here during dinner hours; only for lunch. I think one of their good deals is the hamburger and fries for an additional $ 1. Some of their items — especially their larger salads are over priced. I’m a huge advocate of eating out often, but eating out cheap! Service is usually pretty good — never great, never awful.

Food here is pretty good, but also pretty expensive. Drinks on happy hour aren’t bad prices though. Its close to work, so its a popular work HH event place.

I really don’t understand the infatuation with this place in St. Louis. Yes, they have a lot of games on TV, but their TVs aren’t even that good and unless you are sitting in the right spot, there are times that the game you want to watch isn’t on a tv that you can see. The TV situation notwithstanding, the food here is acceptable at best. Their fries are usually cold and stale, the wraps are terrible and Deli style sandwiches that they serve are nothing seriously. After hearing about how good the Pistrami and Corn beef sandwiches were I was excited, but after eating them, I left feeling unimpressed. If you are going somewhere to watch a game, there are much better options in St. Louis for both TVs and food. There really is nothing about this place that is better than average.

Also a good meal and good service. I loved their smoked meats. e.g. brisket, chicken, pulled pork, etc… This time I enjoyed the BBQ salad. Wonderful. Also try the brisket chili. Usually, their special are great version of home-styled dishes.

I could have easily bumped this place up to a four, if their beer list wasn’t so utterly disappointing. And the few times I’ve been there, every time I ask about their«Schlafy Seasonal,» they always tell me it’s the Pale Ale(which, mind you, is already listed on the menu). The first time this happened, I figured they had simply run out of the seasonal, but the second time? I’m sensing they actually don’t HAVE a seasonal. Boo for misleading me. However, all is not lost. They have some rockin’ food choices — their turkey burger and sweet potato fries being my absolute favorite. The burger is surprisingly flavorful(even without cheese), and the fries are sweetly salty. Tons of televisions for the sports fan in the area, and though they always seem busy, the service is speedy and the wait for a table is never too bad. Not a bad spot for an HH or quick bite in Chesterfield.

A spin-off just never seems to be as good as an original. I love Lester’s in Ladue, I can always count on good food, good service and a fun time. This spin-off location captures the look and good food, but lacked in service. A friend was celebrating an anniversary of her birth and since half the guest were west county residents we choose this Lester’s. I was the first to arrive of our group. That was my plan as I needed a nice cold Stella Artois. The bar crowd was not as «party» as the Ladue location. It was a more mature and stuffed shirt crowd. However, I was able to enjoy a Stella before the other guest arrived. Once our party of six arrived, we were seated in the dining room. We quickly ordered a round of alcoholic beverages and begun to scan the menu for our selections. The guest of honor had not eaten at Lester’s before, so I provided her with several suggestions. None of which she took. Which proves you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink. Once our liquid refreshments arrived we ordered our appetizers and entrees. As appetizers, we had two orders of pretzels with mustard and onion rings. Before we could even pass the apps around the table, here came a manager with our main dishes. Talk about poor timing, made it feel as if they were already rushing us out the door. The onion rings were crisp, not limp like many rings are at sports bars. They’d been a good side for a burger. Our pretzels with the two mustard’s were a disappointment. Once you have had the pretzels at The Tap Room, you are spoiled from other bar pretzels. Six people dining and five ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich. I was not one of the five. I always have to march to my own drum. They all enjoyed their sandwiches and sides. Poor babies, none of them have ever been to Pappy’s or Bogart’s. I ordered the Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings and a side of Fries. As always I had them to the wings extra-crispy. For me that just seems to bring the flavor out and the meat inside is still juicy. They offer their wings in 6&12. I opted for the 12 knowing 6 would be going home for the SO. I had a good giggle, as the honoree patted me on the arm and said, «they weren’t very good» pointing to my other six wings. I grinned and replied, «no, they were damn good. these are going home for later’. Earlier I informed the server that i needed a half order of ribs to go. This time he had his timing right and brought them out just as he passed the separate tickets out. Providing separate tickets is a nice touch. A shame he was spacey and hit-n-miss while serving. My(for Brad) Ribs carry-out was tasty. The baked beans and cole slaw were both New York Deli good. The ribs themselves were meaty but, not fall off the bone. These you had to work to clean the bone. When choosing between the two Lester’s, I prefer Ladue.

My oldest son and I dropped in here today after a «healthy» Lancia frozen yogurt to watch the Derby. We both had a draft Bud Light, and we split an order of dry rub chicken wings, celery and bleu cheese dressing on the side. Quite fine tasting wings. The celery and bleu cheese dressing were lovely. The beer was cold. As was the reception.
