This was a pleasant find. I needed to pop in and buy some groceries to donate to a food drive that was happening the next day. Due to my schedule, I had not had a chance to go. I happened to be driving by this location so I stopped in. While this is not one of the«newer, fancier» Aldi’s with all the trimmings, it is a nice, clean store. I was able to find most of the staples that I normally buy from Aldi. I would like to see more consistency among all the stores(some have alcohol, some do not, some have a bigger selection of healthy items, others do not), but this has your Aldi basics.

If you want cheap stuff from no name brands, you come to Aldi. It’s that simple. Anytime I need help finding a specific item, I ask and they show you where the item is. I like that. Most places just tell you where to go and go back to pretending they’re busy. Most security guards seem bored and grumpy at work. However, this security guard is the opposite. Always a smile on his face and he will greet you on your way in or out of the store.

This is my second time at Aldi. I was pressed for time and stopped into this location because I really just needed to buy some bananas and it was on my way home. I’ve not been a fan of the layout, the cart deposit, lack of options, hours or self bagging. Today, I am rethinking my attitude towards Aldi. They don’t offer the organic choices that I prefer, but they do offer items that I buy on a weekly basis for cheap. I’ve had no choice but to completely change my family’s diet since 11⁄10 due to a family member’s health. I now have to count fat grams, and read labels to avoid buying items with trans and saturated fats. It’s no picnic. Either I change the whole family’s diet or cook separate meals. I was floored to find potato chips that had only 1.5grams of fat. Hot damn and hallelujah! We can eat chips! For less than $ 40 I purchased: 3 bags of baked chips 1 pkg crackers 2 pkgs of low fat premium roast beef.(Actually really good!) 2lbs bananas 2lbs of frozen blueberries 2lbs frozen strawberries 1 pkg apple slices and caramel dippers 8 rolls of paper towels 4pkgs dry pasta yogurt 1 gallon of milk 2 reusable bags

Yes… I’m actually reviewing an Aldi! I haven’t been in an Aldi in years, but I must give them a shout-out! When I was a single Mom and on a really tight budget I shopped at Aldi all the time. I recently came here with a friend who was making Guacamole for Superbowl and heard the avocados were half the price of Jewel and Dominick’s. I came along just«to browse» and by the end of the first aisle, I asked to use one of her shopping bags. Where was my Unilocal-tote when I needed it?! I forgot about some of the goodies you can find here! Here are some of mine… 1lb. bag of Extra-Jumbo Shrimp $ 6.99 2lb. bag of Frozen Mango $ 2.99 1lb. bag Jumbo Pistachios $ 4.29(huge & yummy, I might add) Large tub of «Smart Balance» Butter Spread $ 3.99 Kellogg’s «All-Bran» Crackers $ 2.29 Large bag of Mini Pretzel Stix $ 1.29 4 large Lemons for $ 1.39 Now don’t come here expecting a Whole Foods type of atmosphere, or even a Jewel or Dominick’s atmosphere. It’s pretty basic, lots of generic brands, no samples, most other customers will not be speaking English, no fancy displays, and it’s bag it yourself. By the way, my friend’s Guacamole came out delicious! She said there wasn’t a bad avocado in the bag.

Dirty, dingy floors. Kids screaming. No bags at the register. Parking lot full of kamikaze drivers. Yep, we’re at Aldi.

Always find some great deals here. They have very cheap food and fresh fruit as well. Their labels are not what you see at Jewel or Dominics but it’s just as good. You bring your bags from home or purchase them here.
