Don’t get anything from AT&T. Visited this location to make a little change to my current plan, the staff had little competency when it comes to anticipating customers need. The woman who worked with me made a change to my plan that was not what I had asked for and I ended up receiving a bogus bill a month later. And not to mention, super long wait. Went there an hour and a half before they closed down to dispute the bill, ended up waiting the full hour and a half before they closed. Not sure if it’s because I told the reception lady that I’m here to dispute the bill.

My boyfriend and I are visiting Chicago and unfortunately I had my phone stolen in the city. The first day we went to get it sorted out, Robert helped us. We had many, many questions and Robert never seemed inconvenienced or annoyed. We ended up being there an hour or two and he was extremely helpful, patient, and pleasant our entire visit. The second day, we stopped in for an upgrade and Jonathan helped us. He was also incredible. He was super personable while still being professional. Both my boyfriend and I were so impressed with the staff. I would highly recommend this AT&T to anyone in the Chicago area.

Dynamic location! Paul was efficient, professional, focused and wonderfully attentive. Paul addressed all my concerns, listened to my tales of woe and resolved all issues in an incredibly timely manner. Such an amazing experience to be had. He walked me to the door after all was resolved and made me feel like an honored guest. This type of service is rarely found and scarcely rewarded. I highly recommend this AT&T location. These guys Rock!

Went to the AT&T twice last month and had terrible experience both times. Service was not good at all. Bad attitude and long wait. My boyfriend waited at least 50 minutes before walking out. Go to the one off Lake, it is much better.

Was very satisfied with the professional staff at this location. Customers are not always easy to deal with. Understanding that they are frustrated with their phones or service, and not with you, goes a long way to resolving a problem they are having. :)

This review has two parts, one is a complaint on the ATT store on 70 W Madison, but I couldn’t find it on Unilocal separately, so I had to resort back to here. The second part is saying thank you to Nick at this Chicago Ave. location. 70 W Madison location: I recently just got married and would like to change my last name. I did not have a new ID yet, but I have something from Social Security office with my updated name on it. I first went to Chase tower and updated all the names related with my bank accounts, they had no problems because I had the marriage certificate and the file from SS office. Then I went to the ATT store at 70 W Madison. Someone called Ecaterina was NOT helpful at all. She said no, I need a new ID. Mind you, but if a bank has no problem changing my name, why should a phone store have more strict policy? Also She looked at my ORIGINAL marriage certificate, and said oh is this a copy. I said no, it’s an original, she looked at it again suspiciously, and said«it’s a copy, I know what it looks like.» Again, mind you Ecaterina, you might know what marriage certificate looks like in IL, but I got married in Washington state, do NOT tell me what you THINK*, you don’t know anything. Then she went on and on about regulation blah blah, cannot change my name without a new ID. Again, if a bank was able to change my name with the files I have, why would you have a problem with it? I think she probably didn’t know what she’s talking about, and just wanted to give customers a hard time. The next part of the review is for the one on 22 E Chicago. After the bad experience with an ignorant customer representative at 70 W Madison, I decided to give it a second try at the Chicago Ave. location. Nick had no problem using the files I have. He also helped us decide whether to merge into one family plan. The point is, it’s amazing how different my experience differed at this Chicago location from the experience at the 70 W Madison with Ecaterina. Shouldn’t all customer representatives’ purpose be helping customers and listening to customers? Nick did that.

For a phone store, the service is consistently good. Note that I didn’t say«always good.» But after a dozen visits to buy and/or service a Blackberry and an iPhone, I am comfortable saying they do a good job here. Ask how long the person helping you has been working there. If it’s only a month, get someone else. That’s the only problem I’ve had — inexperienced people«guessing» at the answers. But the experienced staff is great.
