I used to come to Burger Town a lot now I tend to stay away. It really pisses me off that these people raised the prices on their already overpriced mediocre food not to mention the fact that on a few occasions the burger tasted like the meat was going bad and the italian beef somehow«shrunk» to something you good eat in three bites. I will never eat at this pit ever again.

Ahh, Burgertown. This brings back fond memories of grade school(I went to NPES across the street). Every year the 6−8th grade classes had a competition called Battle of the Books where the kids were divided into groups of four, and given four books to read, then after a couple weeks there was a game show-like trivia event where the winning team got to go to Burgertown for lunch. I was, and still am, an unusually fast reader, so I generally read all the books, and therefore knew all the trivia, so my team always won. The burgers and dogs were pretty decent, but what I loved about this place, and why I made sure to always win the competition, were the fries. Greasy and salty and perfect. I’m pretty sure NPES hasn’t had a Battle of the Books since I graduated all those years ago, but it’s okay. The kids all go to Burgertown after school instead.

This place was not all what I expected. I love to try mom and pop burgers joints and every time I spot one I try to make an effort to stop in. So that is what took me to Burgertown. I was driving around and notice this place. I went in and I order a Double hamburger w/fries. The burger itself was just ok and the fries were just ok. I do want to say I have ridicules standards for old school burgers and this place was not up to snuff but it wasn’t terrible. They have a nice menu with ol’ favorites such as Hot Dogs, Chili Dogs, Gyros & Pizza Puffs which are simple but good items for a menu. I also want to mention that the prices are good as well as the services.

Burger Town was formally a Budaki’s #2 for years! Even with the name change, the owners are still the same and still the nicest people i have ever met in the restaurant business. The food is what it is… inexpensive and nothing too special. You can get 2 dogs, fries and a drink for like $ 4. Back when I started going there in the early 90s, it was a dog/fry for 99 cents. Again, the people are sooooooo friggin nice there it is almost impossible to NOT pick it if you have the taste for a dog. Been going there for years and will for years to come…

If you feel like throwing up, visit this place, take a look around, order some food, put your head in a toilet and pump your left arm. Bön appetite!
