California foods is, well, an interesting place. The owner is really nice and really helpful, and all the prices are cheap. The only thing is, a lot of the stuff is expired. I once went to buy a candy bar, and the owner told me that the kind I picked was old and probably not very good, so he suggested a different one that was fresher. I appreciate him telling me and preventing me from buying an even shittier-tasting version of an already-shitty candy bar(I was hungry, piss off), but it’s a shame that it would be necessary. They have a lot more than just food though, and the selection seems to be hilariously random. Since I live two doors down, it’s a good place to stop at if I need sponges, paper plates, or giant virgin mary candles… but if I’m looking for something that’ll end up in my stomach, I’ll probably go elsewhere.
