I think it is generally expected that a gallery like this would treat you like a second class citizen and not worthy to browse the space. What really got me was the way they treated the dog in the window. The dog was a living breathing animal yet everytime he tried to get up to sniff a customer he was yelled at to return to the window. But alas, I was a buying customer and I was there with a mission to purchase something specific. However oddly, they provided incorrect information on the item and even on the cost. Thankfully we took the time to research this and there was no harm done, but I was really surprised.

What’s up with the hospitality at this place? The dour woman who works here could use a good alignment – does she really think that’s winning clients? Mr Hammer couldn’t be nicer so the pair just doesn’t make sense to me. The art is quality though but with so much competition around, you’d think they’d try to be nicer to people, well, she would.

This was a cozy little gallery to visit. When I attended the second floor was not available for any viewing, the woman at the desk was very nice. There was even a dog on a leash down a hallway. The exhibit I saw while I was there was the Mole and Thomas Photographs: Innovation in Early 20th Century Photography exhibit. For the space provided there were still quite a few prints framed on the walls and they were all very intriguing to take a good look at. I’d be interested at least in going back especially when the second floor has reopened to take another look at what was showcased.
