Came across this bar and I’m glad we did! Our waitress was awesome!!! Super nice and on point! Wish their kitchen was open late though.

Great daily specials. Definitely a neighborhood bar. Full of regulars, but welcomes new visitors. I love this place. Consistent and fun.

One of my top 5 bars in the city, no doubt. Good food, especially the pizzas and burgers. I wouldn’t call it a «chef-driven gastro-pub» or something pretentious like that but it’s a step above your typical bar fare. Very friendly staff, good daily specials. Good selection of beer taps and AMAZING«Whiskey Wonderland». Love the patio(with TVs!) in the summer. Lots of soccer; I’m not the biggest fan so occasionally it’s overcrowded when a big game is on, but it’s fun. When they don’t have a special game on they usually have music playing and it’s always fantastic. Generally 80s/90’s/00’s alternative and rock. Sometimes some punk or new wave or pop thrown into the mix but always impressed with the playlist, so bonus there. I am here at least once a week. It is our go-to in the neighborhood.

Food was delicious, service could’ve been better. Waited awhile to be able to order a drink, but besides that, I’ll definitely be back.

This bartender. Tim. Not sure it’s his real name, with a beard. I have a few friends that are regulars. So my friend who is a regular, hot mess. Who gets kicked out of every bar told me to meet him there. Apparently he has a hook up. So my beloved friend of 10 yrs gets belligerent, says something about my nice ass. I say whatever u will never hit it you’re an assh9le. Tim overhears, tells me I’m kicked out. Wtf This is my friend of 10 yrs. I tell him that, he’s not offended but I need to go? I had 1 drink it was 10 pm. Meanwhile my friend was begg8n me to meet him there since 8. I’m a very attractive black girl. I’ve lived in the gold Coast for 8 yrs. No one has treated me this way for putting a drunk in his place, let alone one who agreed he was being playful and I put him in his place as usual. Tim u are a racist cLeo’s is racist for continuing to hire u. I have so many friends all white that used to frequent there. I will personally watch them protest and go to hive far across the street. Lack lives do matter. It’s attitudes like Tom’s that support joel(even tho he told u I was his friend of 10 yrs) I was sober. I only had 1 drink. They had been there for hours as that shows your racist tendencies. take that back where u came from. its not wanted in chi. B careful who u are mean to. I have a big social following. Good luck cleos and your bucktown counterparts. I’m shaming them too. Wanna see how much influence I have. Google me

This is my go to bar for games especially as I like to watch English soccer games. I recommend getting the sliders and onion rings. Good selection of drinks as well. In the summer time I love the outdoor patio. Service is ok. Not exceptional but I’m fine with not being harassed every 2 minutes. Big fan!

What a cool, f__k___bar!!! That’s really the best review I can give of the place which is small, but big enough, enough televisions but not too many, big enough beer list but not too big, and the food(we did not have any but saw a lot of good looking offerings passing by our table) offerings are diverse and again looked really good. We had dined at Whisk and were just looking for cocktails(Whisk is byob) and since this is practically across the street(well up the street and across the street) we stuck our heads in here and only the fact that we had to tap out our babysitter took us away. Definitely going back to check out the food soon.

I’ve been to Cleo’s a few times now and it’s a chill place to go watch games and enjoy a nice patio with outdoor TV’s. The food is pretty good but inconsistent. They do have great daily specials though! Unfortunately the service isn’t the best and also inconsistent. Our most recent experience, the server refused to write down our orders and kept forgetting things and bringing out wrong stuff, and she went long periods without checking on us but whatever, it is what it is. It won’t keep me away. It’s a charming dive bar that’s never too packed even on game days.

If you don’t like this place, you’re an idiot!!! Good bar food. Daily specials. Great staff. Back patio/beer garden is awesome, with a fireplace. If you’re the River North type, don’t come here. A frequenter like myself wouldn’t want you here, all right, fine you can come but don’t be an a-hole.

Incredible dive bar with an awesome beer garden in the back. The ambiance is super cool and chill with a variety of odd lighting options. The daily specials are posted all over and really are some of the best in Ukrainian Village($ 0.35 wings on Mondays!, $ 3 Goose pints on Wednesdays!). Out of all of these awesome things, the best part really is the staff. Always welcoming and made it very easy to make it my go to «cheers». Side Note: don’t go on a soccer game day unless you like crowds cause its a huge futbol bar. Side Note 2: Ask for the nachos with pulled pork. You won’t be disappointed.

Cleo’s was just OK. I had a beverage on a friday at 930pm and the bar was almost empty. They have food available but I didn’t try it out. They do have BIGBUCKHUNTER so if you’re looking for that here’s your spot.

Got caught in the rain and decided to wait it out in here for lunch and a few drinks. Good place! The music sets a good relaxed mood and isn’t overpowering. Beer selection is decent and the food is above average for a small bar/restaurant. Fish tacos were yummy

Considering that I just moved around the corner, I am very tempted to become a regular at this place. I went on a Thursday night with a couple friends and ordered a few drinks. They have quite a few options on tap but also many bottled beers. The bottled beers are generally from the Midwest. They have daily specials as well, which is probably worth it. On Thursdays, their 14″ pizzas are $ 7.(They are normally $ 11.50). We ordered the BBQ pizza. I know Chicago is all about deep dish pizza, but I love a good thin crust pizza, which is what Cleos has. I love the crunch of their thin crust. It was quite good. The waitress looked at us and was shocked, saying: «You’ve never had our pizza?» I’ll definitely be back to try the other pizzas!

Decent trivia at 8 on Tuesday’s!!! Also $ 1.50 tacos– the fish and carne asada are by far the best!

You wouldn’t be able to tell from the front, but this bar has a great patio area in the back! It definitely is a dive-y bar, but the patio makes it really nice on hot days. They have plenty of TVs too, both inside and out, so if you want to watch some sports games, this is a good spot to be at. The prices are pretty average and they have specials throughout the week, so it won’t break the bank! If you’re over here and it’s a nice day, go check it out!

We stumbled in randomly after putting our names on the wait list over at Yuzu Sushi 2 blocks down. This turned out to be the start of a cullinarily awesome night. We ordered a couple of Antiheros on tap, and for the both, the bill came out to – get this — $ 9! Gotta love those neighborhood bars. Plus, they happened to have a trivia night going on(every Tuesday). Great vibe.

This is a good neighborhood bar to keep in your back pocket, but not a stellar-must-go. Typical dive-atmosphere– dark with many TVs, busy random décor, and year-round holiday lights. They have excellent specials each day of the week. The service is OK– they could use another wait staff on Sundays. The waitress did a great job for what she was faced with. Props to her. The food was average bar fare. Tots and burgers were good, with one exception: Do NOT under ANY circumstances get the veggie burger(aka tasteless brick). Their dedication to football(soccer) is admirable, and likely the reason I will return.

I’ll tell you what — this place ain’t much to look out while standing outside the front door, but as they say, you can’t judge a book by its cover. Cleo’s is your pretty standard sports bar and attracts your standard sports bar clientele for sure. But what makes this place remarkable is the dirt cheap price of bloody marys on Saturdays. $ 4 gets you a standard size bloody while another $ 1($ 5 total) gets you a bloody in a pint glass using top shelf vodka. It’s an incredible deal! For your Saturday morning hair of the dog, this place really should be your first option.

If you’re going through an awkward breakup I’d stay away from Cleos for at least half the time you were together. A few Angry Balls(Angry Orchard Hard Cider and Fireball Whiskey) or beer and shot specials and you may just find yourself texting your ex to «Call Me Now.» You don’t have to be a psychic to know that Cleo’s is a super chill bar, but I bet even a crystal ball couldn’t have told you that they have a server who looks identical to the woman in the«We Can Do It» posters. ! I forgot her name, but look for her… she’s super fun and awesome. Other than the neighborhood vibe and friendly staff the food is decent for how cheap it is and there’s always some sort of a special so it’s a good place to go with friends or on a first meet up if you do the whole internet dating thing. Overall…I’d definitely hit them up again and in conclusion here’s a funny soundboard

Last Saturday I did some pretty intense bar hopping with a friend from college. He got off husband & daddy duty for the night and we barhopped back like we were at UIC. He tried to play wing man for me for the night… but wasn’t that great at it. Either way, we had a fun time and the fun started at Cleos Bar & Grill. Before I went, the lovely Jelena Z. told me about the patio and she was SO right. Their cute backdoor patio is rockin’, super chill and we had the best night for sitting out there. Saturday nights they had PBRs for just $ 2.50 and mini sliders for $ 1! I had the pulled pork slider and it was friggin good. Do you know I had 3 beers and a slider & my bill was less than $ 10(without tip of course)? Um. HELLO?! Get to Cleo’s now!
