I was here a few months ago when I went to Chicago. They have the absolute best apple cinnamon spiced tea. And the most amazing donuts! This is a small hole in the wall near Downtown Chicago(I think). I actually came here almost everyday of my stay in Chicago. They have a super friendly staff… and the area is trendy and chill. I wish they would open up more locations nationwide.

I don’t know why this place has sooo many negative reviews. They offer all of the same awesome donuts as their original location but in a slightly larger space. Their vanilla iced donut is one of my fav. in the city. A light and fluffy yeast donut covered with delicious vanilla icing. I’m also a fan of their butterscotch praline and they’re simple but fantastic buttermilk old fashioned. Now my visit was not without complaints, the peanut butter donut suffered from poor conceptualization and execution(jelly and peanut butter are piped into the donut in somewhat uneven quantities and location making most bites containing either peanut butter or jelly or neither), they also sadly didn’t have even apple fritters ready yet. Everyone working was super nice, providing service with a smile and friendly recommendations.

We have a food allergy in the family. The staff did not know the ingredients of the donuts. There was no one to contact who knew. There was no list anywhere. I asked if the other store might know. I called and the person who answered asked to call me back as she was the only one at that location. The Clark st staff displayed a lack of caring about my need and about my child’s disappointment.

Went in for the first time today. I cannot believe how small the space was! Such a waste. You could barely turnaround without bumping into the people sitting(only room for about 10 people to sit). The woman on the cash register was so rude! I will definitely not be in again because the customer service was so bad. As far as the donuts go, I got one of the chocolate cake donuts(I don’t remember the name) and it was so over cooked it was crunchy throughout the whole thing! They give you the donuts in a wax paper bag that is so flimsy and don’t even ask if it is to go(which of course it is since there is no where to sit in there). They should offer medium size bags to put the donuts in to take them to go. Not a huge selection of donuts, rather surprised at that. Such a shame, I wanted to like this place.

Its my first and last visit there. The donuts are just ok. The space is small and seating is limited. The employees are not friendly. There are better donut places in Lincoln Park with a happy friendly staff.

We got two donuts to go, around $ 5 and change. We got the triple chocolate and old fashioned buttermilk. Both great. Was there around 3:30 and they were restocking some varieties. Great addition to the neighborhood. Not the best in the world but a solid donut. Unlike Stan’s Donuts on Clark and Diversey, I could fit my big stroller inside, but still not much room to turn around. Mamas need donuts too!

Firecakes donuts are my forever favorite donuts in Chicago!!! Super fluffy and buttery. Vanilla glazed is the best.

Cheap donuts– but more importantly terrible customer service. This place won’t last because of their customer service. Small businesses never do because of this reason. It’s pretty easy to be nice to customers– why be rude? Especially to first time customers. If the donuts were amazing then I would suck it up and go back but the two I tried tasted a little better than Dunkin donuts donuts. So yeah donuts are ok– customer service is bad. The young woman who works the register I am guessing is the owner because no one would treat customers the way she does unless they were the owner. Good luck!

This is my new favorite donut place. Delicious, good variety, and reasonably priced. Their coffee is good, too! I’m looking forward to making this a regular stop. I got the espresso crime donut– delicious, small, cheap. 10⁄10 would get again. My friend tried their bacon and pineapple donut– weird, but strangely delicious? The feel of the place is cute, too, fun music playing and café-type seating.
