Ok, I’ve only had two things from here, and that’s not really enough to say the place is horrible, but given that the food went bad to worse it seems like this place is no good. I’m a connoisseur of salt and pepper tofu. I’ve had it all over Chicago and neighboring suburbs. Whenever I find out a restaurant has it, I go try it! This place has thee worst salt and pepper tofu I’ve ever had in my life. It had this zesty lemon taste to it(that was just wrong) and it smelled pretty bad. I haven’t had«hood» Chinese food since high school, but when I tasted this I remembered that taste, that«we’ll use this same grease until the end of time» taste. It tastes like EVERYTHING, and obviously it’s not vegetarian friendly. Given the quality of the food, they have the audacity to charge 9 dollars for it. 9 dollars for zesty, everything tasting, rotting flesh smelling salt and pepper tofu. Oh, and at that price it only comes with plain white rice. You don’t even get a drink to try and choke down your bad decision with. I’ve gone to sit down restaurants that cost the same, the dish was WORLDS better and came with more than white rice. Other in-and-out places have this dish with fried rice, a drink and an egg roll for the same price and is 100x better. The other thing I had was the Singapore noodle, it’s cheaper than a lot of other places, but the same problem, tastes and smells like everything. This is the kind of food you eat when you’re about to die from starvation. No other time is it acceptable.

Average. Strange tasting fried rice. Rude woman who barely speaks English answering the phone…

FAST delivery, too bad the food showed up completely COLD and both entrées were missing the vegetables, which is ½ of it. Had to make vegetables and heat up food, kinda defeats the purpose, don’t you think???

Stopped in here for a quick, late lunch on the way back to the sparkling new Green line station. Service was OK. Kids took the order, and language seemed to be a barrier for all the adults. We got it figured out, though it took a bit and was clumsy. The restaurant is definitely geared for carry out, with only a few simple tables and not much for décor. I ordered a Chicken Lettuce Wrap appetizer for a light meal. As it turned out, there was more than enough food for a good sized lunch! The food was piping hot, on very nice, fresh lettuce. Flavor was slightly spicy, and wonderfully fresh. The lettuce was nice and fresh, noting that often the pieces served can be a little weak. Overall, I wished I lived closer to this new Gem of the South Side! Stop in for a meal, and be patient with language. Other than communication and the simple inside, this is a solid 5-star meal!
