Better off going to a local bar for food, same quality wireless taste. With a Budd, he said the beef was“ok”

I love this little place, I have never had any issues and the food is great! My favorite are the ribs, wings and their pizzas are great! I usually order the food over the phone and then pick it up so I never notice any long waits.

Arrived here at 1PM. I Ordered a small Thin Crust Peperoni Pizza and a water. The restaurant was maybe half full and there were 2 girls working. I watched many tables get their food before me, and they arrived after I did. My pizza hit the table at 1:50pm. 50 Minutes! although she didnt bring me any plates, napkins or my drink. She said it was on the way. I waited 5 minutes then went to the counter to get plates, napkins and my drink. Finally after several minutes she gave them to me and I sat back down to eat my now cold pizza. Which BTW was subpar at best. What an awful experience to taste cardboard. I would never return and want to warn anyone about this place. Papa Johns is across the street FYI

Fantastic example of traditional Chicago deep dish pizza! Highly recommend this local home in the wall. Deep dish is worth the 40 minute wait… service was excellent

Oof there is so much wrong here that I don’t know where to start. First, the pricing is not what you might expect. I ordered a medium pizza with 2 cokes and saw the price nearly double from the number on the menu, to over $ 30 — for a pizza and two sodas. Why the leap in price? I asked for deep pan. The menu mentions that there is a surcharge(although doesn’t say what it is). When I got the credit card receipt to sign, I was puzzled, so asked about it. «Yeah, that’s the tourist price» the guy ‘explained’ as if that made everything fine. After effectively being called a gullible tourist, I was told the wait is 45 minutes for one pizza! So, I cancelled the order and we got already-made slices instead. «Was it worth it?» the guy sneered as I signed the now cheaper receipt. After that, my friend and I took our slices outside. To top it all off, they were really, REALLY poor. I have had pizza in a lot of cities, so it was disappointing to come to Chicago and taste Brandi’s soggy, greasy, cardboard-like pizza. I managed to get one slice down and threw the other one in the trash. My friend did the same. I like Chicago a lot, so I am going to hope that this isn’t the typical Chicago pizza experience, because it’s fit for no one — not even a «tourist».

I come here often when I am working at McCormick convention center. They always have slices ready and hot. They do get really busy at lunch when there is a convention, but I’ve never waited more than 10 – 15 min for ordered food(vs slices). The pizza is awesome. They even have spinach slices. Check out the old school pizza oven through the order window. The décor is cool with Italian movie posters and old turn old turn off the century Chicago photos and, what I’d guess are 1950’s family pictures.

Great food. Very nice people. Husband couldn’t see receipt and left a tip. He added the amount incorrectly and the lady came out and asked him if it was the correct amount and was it OK to change the total. That does not happen often.

I work for Ford Motor Company, I stay at the Hyatt Regency down the street. I was referred to the pizzeria by a coworker 3 years ago, and I have referred other engineers to the place since I learned about it. I have really enjoyed ordering pizza and dining there over the years. Except for my last visit. There is something fundamentally wrong with this place. The girl behind the counter was genuinely annoyed with our ordering ability and shamed us horrible for not following whatever process she believed we should be following to order a pizza. It was 7:30 at night and there was nobody ordering except us. Clearly not stressed because there were allot of us ordering. She glared at us and scoffed at our desire to order a large pizza, stating that we only needed a medium. Then I dared to order a drink, a can of Orange Crush that she shamed me over because it wasn’t a fountain drink. Geez, just sell me the can of pop without the drama. When I told her I didn’t like her attitude, she stated that her grandmother was the owner and that she had to be tough like that for her. Well congratulations, you are not only tough but you just chased away a good customer. I will not tell others about your restaurant because I would hate for them to have to deal with a person such as you, this counter girl that believes she is royalty and thinks she can treat people like a pissed off Spanish Queen. Well don’t worry, I won’t annoy you again, nor will I let my colleagues annoy you either. In fact, when I got to the hotel i noticed a man carrying a deep dish pizza in the elevator. He was from out of town and heard of this great pizza place called Giordanos. I usually would have referred him to your place, but instead I congratulated him on a wise choice. Spanish queen, enjoy your reign and solitude. When you wonder where all the business went that your grandmother had gathered during her tenure, you can look in the mirror and know it was you that ruined her business. Me, I am going elsewhere for my pizzas. Great food, zero points for a hostile ordering experience.

The deep dish pizza is superb here, the best I have ever had! They use fresh, quality ingredients and the sauce is excellent. Five stars for the food, zero for the girl with the tattoos on her arm! Rude, rude, rude. We knew exactly what we wanted to order and she talked down to us like we didn’t know how to order a pizza and we should just fall over in gratitude for her taking our order from her fortune 500 company! This is the soup nazis sister! If you are a policeman you get treated differently with politeness. We had to ask for an extra soda and her attitude shifted right back to rude mode. Finally, my husband responded with a comment on her behavior only to be told that she is the granddaughter of the owner and she is supposed to be hard! She’s about as hard as her tattoos. Great pizza if you like getting abused for it.

It’s a good thing I didn’t let the reviews of this place stop me from coming here. The staff is always friendly, although they are very busy. I’m sure it’s hard to make each customer feel like they are the best and only customer in the world when they visit this place, but if good food is all you care about, then this place will not disappoint!

This place managed to regain my business over the last few years when the owner herself delivered my pizza after my last caustic review. I was a reluctant return customer because of the location convenience and the delivery to my neighborhood. And while we enjoy the pizza, the customer service is always the infuriating factor. They can’t seem to get it together, and don’t seem to care. I wanted to place a delivery order tonight, but the smug chick who is manning the phone apparently has horrific call management skills, answers without letting anyone get a word in edgewise and says«can you hold please. thank you,» never again to return to the line. Three times I was put on hold and three times I was on hold for in excess of four minutes before hanging up. The last time I called, she actually hung up on me. Well, her little rude unsophisticated ass just cost them a regular customer. I hope it’s worth whatever reduced hourly rate they must be paying her.

I made my way in to Pizzeria Brandi only minutes before they were to close. Despite that fact, the staff was patient and helpful. I ordered a slice of pizza and a fountain drink. The nice guy at the register threw in an extra slice, and the guy preparing the pizza added spinach to both slices for me, since there were only cheese slices left. They were unexceptional, but I always appreciate good customer service.

This place is the height of mediocrity. The food is OK, nothing special or noteworthy, and the settings is really, really casual… just a few chairs in an unadorned restaurant. The servers are very nice. This is my 2nd time eating here and the food tasted exactly the same– 1) A well priced personal Chicago Pizza with Jalapeños for $ 5.992) An overly expensive marina linguini with fried onions, mushrooms, and jalapenos for $ 12.87. I asked for more toppings and the cashier, Linda, immediately offered to get me some more, then asked how it was. This joint is difficult to place — not quite fast or cheap enough to be fast food, not quite classy or tasty enough to be high end or notable. I will not be going back, nor would I dissuade anyone who would like to give it a gander.

Some of the reviews don’t seem very deserving of this wonderful place. So what if you have to wait over 30 minutes for a pizza? If you want a quick pizza, go to Little Caesars and get a piece of cardboard with cheese and sauce on it. The pizza at Brandi is as authentic as Chicago deep dish can be, and therefore, it takes time to cook. If you got rude service, the lady behind the counter is probably up to her wits with dealing with dumb and impatient people who don’t know what the hell they want or have a million demands… no different from any other business. We ordered, and the lady was courteous. My wife and I visited Chicago, and this place happened to be right down the street from our hotel. We ventured there for lunch after an exhausting five hour train ride and 45 minute walk to our hotel. I eat pizza probably once a week, and have Chicago-style deep dish frequently around Detroit. Yet, the pizza we got here was among the best we ever had. We ordered a small, deep dish with chicken and half tomatoes(for her side) for $ 15. We waited and waited… and waited. It is worth the wait, and we were in no hurry. We were the only people in there at around noon. When our pizza arrived, it was massive. The chicken we ordered was actually huge chicken patties covered in cheese and tons of sauce. It was too hot to eat at first. We obviously couldn’t finish it and took half of it back to the hotel. We ate it cold later that night, and it still tasted good. So, if your service was shitty or food messed up, go somewhere else… big deal. There’s a pizza place on every corner in Chicago. But, when I go back to Chicago, I’ll be back here if we’re on the south side.
