I just moved to the neighborhood and live a block from this place, so I was happy to have a cleaner so close. I went in, and I’m glad I asked what the pricing was…$ 5 per shirt for dry cleaning is 100% insane. It looks to me like they take a pretty arbitrary approach to their pricing, but I’ve never seen more than $ 2.25 a shirt for dry cleaning. How they manage to stay in business is beyond me, but you’d be better off buying a new wardrobe every month then you would spending that kind of money to dry clean a dress shirt. Contrary to their name, I am not happy with happy cleaners.

I have been coming to this cleaners with most my stuff for the past year, but I won’t be coming back! I don’t know if they are struggling to make it or what? For the past couple of months they have started to play games with their pricing. Please keep mind, they are the most expensive cleaners in the neighborhood, which is okay, but don’t try and make up additional charges to get even more $. The latest is, I dropped off one shirt only, so they charged me an additional $ 1, to make it $ 3 for one shirt to be laundry cleaned. This is this is crazy! Sorry, but you lost my business.

I have been here twice: First time, I had a coat and comforter dry cleaned, cost was over $ 50.00. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, maybe that is the going price for dry cleaning. I rarely use a dry cleaner. Second time I went to have a few articles of clothing washed since our washer broke. I had 3 pairs of scrubs washed, they told me it was $ 2.50 a pound. When I picked up my clothes, they charged me $ 12.00 I asked them how much my clothes weighed, they didn’t understand what I was asking and just kept telling me it cost $ 2.50 per pound. Well, I went home and weighed my laundry, it didn’t even weigh 2 pounds total, so they charged me way more. I will never go back here again.

This is an update to my original review. They took my shirt and offered to clean it again. This time, the shirt came out clean, without any smudges. So, I am wondering, if they can do such a great job why don’t they do it the first time. Why wait to have an unhappy customer before doing the job right.

No Way. I have gone to this cleaners for a long time. However, this time, she held my clothes hostage! Initially, I asked how much it was to hem these items(I had 1 pr. pants &2 skirts). She told me $ 13.00 to hem. When I got there my bill was $ 79.00!!! I asked for the breakdown, she charged me $ 24.00 to hem each skirt!!! She said I did not ask her how much it was to hem skirts and she pointed to the«price board» where it says«Hemming-$ 13.00». So she could not rationalize why she charged me $ 24 for each skirt. She took my clothes to the back and told me she was going to call the police, I said good because I’ve just been robbed!!! She is a criminal and does not respect patrons who have been going there for a long time. You just lost me and hopefully many others.

Took an expensive dress with a big wine stain on it. When I got the dress back the stain was still there, along with many new big dark stains. The stains were caused by smearing the ink from the floral printed pattern everywhere. So I got it back in worse condition. I then took the dress to Lotus Cleaners, and explained the situation, she was honest and told me there was a 50⁄50 chance she could fix it. When I got it back it from her all the stains were gone! I recommend Lotus Cleaners all the way!

I take my boss’ clothes here monthly to be cleaned. Usually it is a bag full of dress shirts, pants, jeans, etc. and it runs about $ 130. When you invest in nice clothes, you want to keep them nice so for people who spent $ 200+ on ONE dress shirt you will gladly pay 6.00 or whatever to have it cleaned regularly. Kinda like buying a BMW and never getting a carwash… I have also taken a blanket to be cleaned and spent $ 30, which I thought was a lot… service however is very kind, they are a bit slow, and I have gone in at times to not have a few items done. What are you gonna do though…

Everything I’ve had done here seems to be finished in a timely manner. However, it’s so freakin EXPENSIVE. 30 bucks to clean a full sized quilt? 12 bucks for a pillow? Usually they do a good job, but if you’re looking to save a buck go somewhere else.

Call the authorities, Happy Cleaners robbed me. And they held my clothing hostage. I brought the following items to be cleaned: 1)Light rain coat 1)Light cotton dress 1)My favorite(only) green cashmere sweater How much would you pay for above items to be cleaned? $ 15.00? $ 20.00? How about $ 33.50? That is what I was charged. I asked for a breakdown: $ 13-for the jacket, in their defense, in addition to having it cleaned I also asked to have the pocket lining sewn, and I get home &THEYDIDN’T SEWTHEFUCKINGPOCKET! $ 9 — For the sweater $ 11– Light dress I’m poor, not cheap and this price seemed exorbitant! CPD is refusing to help.

I’ve only gotten things cleaned here, not tailored or anything. The staff(owners?) are nice, service is quick, prices reasonable. Never had a problem with anything. update: 12⁄2007: I had a dress tailored here and they did a great job.
