This is the closest and most convenient dry cleaner to me. I took a pair of pants to be hemmed, and they hemmed them quickly and for a fair price. Great, right? Except 3 – 4 weeks later, when the stitches on both sides started coming out. One side came out completely all at once, almost tripping me. I brought them back to be fixed and explained that she was the one who had hemmed them in May., that I had not worn them often, and that they needed to be fixed When I picked up the pants, the owner insisted I pay to have them fixed again, when the problem was that the sewing was not done right the first time. No apology– she blamed me– asking what kind of shoes I was wearing. A pants hem should last longer than a few weeks. A company should admit its mistake and, at an absolute minimum, fix it for free. There are plenty of better options in the area.

When I moved to the neighborhood, this was the first dry cleaner I noticed, so I have been coming here for at least five years. Never questioned the prices, which always seemed a little high. After a $ 70 charge for a winter comforter, down coat, and one other small item, I realized that I need to look into other options in a neighborhood that is teeming with competing dry cleaners. Soo Dry Cleaners always does an excellent job, and the owner is friendly, but I assume that all of the local cleaners farm out the clothing to the same companies who actually perform the work and, as the middlemen, have leeway in what they charge the customer. I’ll be trying Smile Cleaners next, as Unilocal reviews say they offer the best price in the area.

A bit pricey but always a great job, alterations are done well and she is so darn nice!(the owner!)

I have not washed a dress shirt in the last 15 years because of Mrs. Soo. Wife and daughters have sent countless dresses, blouses, etc. for dry cleaning. Everything has always been on time and clean. Prices are not the cheapest, but not too high on most common items. No problems since my first experience in 1996!

Nearly a dozen alterations done here, mostly dress shirts getting taken in, as well as original-hemmed jeans. Great handiwork on the clothes and seems to be reasonably priced compared to other nearby tailor shops.

Helpful staff, great service, but prices are a little high. I’d go further away if I wanted a better price, but she’s almost right out of my door. I’ve taken clothes there for over a year, always got them back on time and as I expected. I’ve also had alterations done, again always done on time(and sometimes earlier when I need a rush job) and done well. Cash only is a bummer, and the prices are a little high. Parking can be tough, since she’s on the corner of Leavitt(one way going north) and Addison(mucho traffic at this corner). But if you pull around the block, you can probably find good parking.
