Kasias has it all and coming from San Diego I could not have been any happier about stopping by this Polish deli. Not only did they have all of the aforementioned classics eye-fu#king me through the display case but also all of the hard-​to-​find and interesting delicacies that I’ve only heard legends of but never tried. The accents on the women serving the grub only heightened the authenticity factor for me and how about those prices? Can’t shake a stick at them!

Classic Deli, and with that classic feel. Very clean and lots of variety. Of course get what made them famous.

Kasia’s deli is a mainstay in the neighborhood, but many have never stepped inside! The sandwiches are divine, they offer a unique selection of dry goods, soups and delicious surprises in the deli. Moreover, this little gem is CLEAN. I mean, sparkling and immaculate. The staff is always welcoming, hardworking and offering a genuine smile. 15 minute parking available just alongside their building. Stop here for sandwiches to go on your next summer picnic — you won’t be disappointed!

Used Kasia’s for an event recently. They catered the event so not only was the food fabulous but the server they sent was awesome!!!

Was looking for a great deli sandwich and was sorely disappointed. A great sandwich starts with great bread. I asked for a Kaiser roll, they pointed me to a case filled with Subway-​looking rolls. Still, I was hopeful. Unwrapped my sandwich… what? NO PICKLE! Guess now you have to ask. Anyway, my search for a great deli sandwich shall continue. Will not be returning.

This place is fantastic and has the best 1. Home made chicken noodle soup and 2. Potato Pancake. Predictably the Pierogies are great and well, so are nearly all other deli items.

So so delicious! I regularly get the sauerkraut, zucchini pancakes, stuffed cabbage. As I am of Iron Curtain descent, Kasia’s dishes are a real treat for me! And, did you know sauerkraut is excellent for your gut biome? YES!!!

100% the best Polish Deli in the city! Kasia’s has been a neighborhood favorite and staple ever since I can remember. Growing up in the neighborhood the food has always been one of my favorites. Everything is cooked and made fresh daily and taste like your polish grandma is making every dish! The fried cauliflower, mushroom egg rolls and stuffed cabbage our some of my favorite sides. The polish sausage, pierogi, potato pancakes all delicious along with the variety of homemade soups. Let’s not forget about the polish cookies and poppyseed cake! Kasia’s also offers deli sandwiches and has a small seating area in front of the deli to enjoy lunch. Along with the delicious homemade food are the prices. The deli is very afforded that I find myself picking up healthy dinner options quite often! Kasia’s is a FABULOUS Polish Deli, family owned and always greeted with a smile.

Did not know this place existed before today. My wife and I were in the neighborhood and went in search of a lunch place. Driving down Chicago Ave. my wife caught sight of Kasia’s. I’m not typically a fan of sandwiches, so I was a little disappointed at the choice. But, I agreed just to keep the wife from criticizing my lack of adventure.
As it was lunch time, there was a short wait. I ordered the Reuben on marble, with the sauerkraut on the side and my wife ordered a ham sandwich. We each had a Dog ‘n Suds Root Beer (they have a broad selection of beverages). They have a couple of small tables, so we stayed and ate our lunch.
The Reuben is my «go to» sandwich. So, I’ve had a lot of them. Kasia’s Reuben was the best I’d ever had. The corned beef was flavorful, the bread soft and the sauce was amazing. The sauerkraut was a little tame for my taste. But, all in all a really great discovery.

sorry i have had great experiences here in the past but today was just horrible. I got the newbie (and i understand we all start from somewhere) so i talked real slow about what i wanted in my sandwich, corned beef, havarti dill and everything on it. well after 20 MINUTES i got a sandwich with only mustard and lettuce, by the time i got my sandwich my hot soup got cold. There was a guy next to me waiting to be helped and they totally skipped him and he just left, i felt bad for him. btw Roasted Carolina Turkey? that’s like the cheapest brand of deli! grosssss. Shout out to the polish ladies behind the counter, they’re always very nice to me. I’ll wait for one of them next time i’m in there to serve me.

My two year olds favorite deli in the city and she’s a foodie. I’m amazed at the variety and great prices here. Best pierogi in town! We are fond of the plum, potato & bacon and cabbage. But they are all good so many types to sample! They also have a great prepared deli selection. We like the sausages and potato pancakes. My daughter was crying when we left today because everyone was being so friendly to her lol

Came in to check it out and snack on some pierogis and kielbasa. We eat the pierogis pretty frequently and wanted to visit the source.
The prices are excellent here. The pierogis are cheaper if you buy them prepacked.
I wish they had the breakfast pierogis that we have had in Michigan. Sausage and egg pierogis are delicious!

My boyfriend and I got a flat while apartment hunting and happened to be a few blocks away from Kasia’s. We were getting hungry and needed to call AAA because we ran into some problems. While we waited I looked for places to get take out near our location. While he waited I walked to find Kasia’s and was very pleased when I walked through the door. Bright, inviting and a whole lot of Polish goodies. (I’m half Polish, but the bf is not.) So I knew I had to get something he would like, but had never tried. The young lady behind the counter was really nice and welcoming and offered a few suggestions. I ended up going back to the car with some pierogies, cabbage rolls and beef puffs. Those plus two sodas and some chips came out to less than 20 dollars and made waiting for our mechanic a better experience. I will definitely visit Kasia’s again and again.

Excellent sandwiches and good prices! The only con is the customer service. Sometimes is kinda confusing and disorganized but nothing absurd.

The potato pancakes are to die for. The pirogies are a blessing. The panini choices are filling. Love this place with a passion.

The Ukrainian borscht at this Polish deli is delicious. It has a base of chicken stock thickened with sour cream. It’s full of delicious sliced cabbage, diced potatoes and other veggies. It’s perfectly seasoned and has a slightly sour taste from the added sour cream. This is top notch borscht that can’t be beat for taste. Scrumptious.
Other take out offerings are superior and homemade. Cabbage rolls stuffed with buckwheat are a vegetarian treat. They come with a light tomato sauce. And this being Kasia’s, there are at least a dozen varieties of pierogies. I’m really fond of the potato, cheese, and the sauerkraut and mushroom varieties, which boil up well in a couple of minutes. Even the tuna salad is good.
This is a sharp little shop, neat, bright and organized. No clutter or crowded aisles. Packaged goods are along one side, prepared foods along the other, and homemade soups in containers chilling in the back. Order and pay up front. Sometimes they call numbers and sometimes they don’t. There are a couple of tables for dining in. The service is pretty typical for a Polish deli – need I say more? But don’t let that deter you. Get your hands on some of this delicious grub.

I was so excited to read about this place, since Ukrainian Village nowadays has more Mexican restaurants than authentic Eastern European options.
But I have to agree with an earlier reviewer about being disappointed. This business is smaller & with a much more limited selection than the favorable reviews would lead you to believe.

Came in here with high expectations due to the rave reviews. But very disappointed.
First of all, I am 100% Polish. I grew up eating all of my moms homemade polish food. Golabki, pierogi, sauerkraut, spare ribs, etc. Well, I grew up, got married and moved out. Unfortunately I didn’t learn how to make this amazing food, and of course my husband (whose italian) hates polish food… so I never attempt to make it at our place. And once in a while I just CRAVE my moms food! But what’s a girl to do when she doesn’t live close? She starts Unilocaling polish places close to her of course!
Unilocal led me to Kasias. I got there on a Wednesday around 5:00. It was dead in there, yet the lady behind the counter didn’t even acknowledge me until I had to get HER attention. Anyways, I got a few different things to go (see pic). In general, everything was TASTELESS. NO FLAVOR. Ok I know polish food isn’t known for being the most flavorful, but my moms def is! Kasias golabki was 90% rice and 10% meat. Horrible. The sauce on them was like straight out of a Campbell’s tomato soup can. The only pierogi they had available behind the counter was a potato one– also boring. And the sauerkraut… nasty flavor. Yuck. Will never be going back here!

Probably not the best place to frequent if you’re New Years resolution is to eat healthier, but for awesome Polish food that will keep some dough in your pocket this place rocks!
Get made to order sandwiches for under 5 bucks, ridiculously delicious cabbage rolls, and of course their signature pierogies that you can find a packaged version of in any Jewel or Mariano’s around town. Trust me the fresh made deli version is why the frozen ones are now available.
The ladies who run this joint are incredibly kind especially for how hectic it gets in here. The work ethic and hospitality are everything you’d expect from a little mom and pop shop like this. Overall a must try especially if you like Polish food.
