Dr. Hansen and her team are extraordinarily compassionate individuals with a great deal of emotional intelligence and superb patient interactions. From my first encounter with Dr. Hansen and her staff, I felt at ease, I did not feel alone, and even though I initially shed tears upon learning I needed a mastectomy, I was able to feel less numb.
In seeking a second opinion at Rush, the attending physician asked, «Who is your doctor at Northwestern?’ When I replied, Dr. Hansen, the Rush physician said, «You’re with the best.»
Thank you Dr. Hansen. Thank you Northwestern.

I am about to undergo a ductal surgery with Dr. Nora Hansen and her team. The stress of the unknown can really get to you. I had seen another doctor and liked him as a person… but he left me feeling that he will take care of everything, with a bit of blind trust. When you are traveling a new road and need some knowledge,(did my end of research on why I had sympthoms)… a professional like Dr. Hansen gave me an important piece to my journey. Confidence! What ever happens, whatever the out come I can feel safe with her and her expertice.

There’s no category for surgeons, but that’s what she is. She has great credentials, is very positive and informed. You do have an army of people you see along with her, but Northwestern is a teaching facility and I’m ok with that.
I had to see Dr. Hansen for a second opinion and she didn’t discount any of my questions about her experience or my situation. She listened to my lengthy description of my situation and then gave me some great news. I could give her 5 stars just for that!
Anyway, if you need a surgeon here, see her, she is the best!
