Salon Allure

My first visit there (after a move to Chicago) resulted in a great experience. Grace understood my needs and did an excellent job. Will definitely go back!

They have some stylists thst are very good. Grace and Lysander are very talented. Usually they are on time. Grace can really cut hair. You will not be disappointed. Minus one star bcz the salon ain’t fresh.

I always go to Grace to have my eyebrows done and she is wonderful! Eyebrow waxes can be uncomfortable but with her it’s actually very relaxing and painless, and always looks great!

Raymond is the very best! I’ve been to the hippest and most expensive salons in the city, but the best short haircut I’ve ever received is with Raymond here at Salon Allure. Furthermore, I can usually get the appointment I want just a week in advance, sometimes just the next day. The place is not glamorous, and you will not get herbal tea, but it is clean with easy street parking.

I love this place, and it’s mostly because of the stylist I’ve been seeing for the past year, Luz. She’s great. I make an appointment, I’m seen at the time of my appointment, and she’s the only person who can take my curly mess of hair and get it super straight in record time. Not only that but for a wash, trim, and blow dry to straight hair, she only charges $ 50. Typically I’m in and out in an hour. You can see my photo with my review so you can see how curly my hair is. For someone to get it as straight as quickly as she does and at that cost, she will have my business as long as I live in Chicago and she’s still doing hair. Other notes on the salon, cute ladies restroom, clean, and not to loud. The only thing I don’t care for is the fluorescent lighting.

Disappointed :(I actually ended up with a decent hair cut, but definitely not what I asked for! I was uneasy from the get-​go when I learned the person cutting my hair didn’t speak english and I should have left then. I’m assuming there was some sort of miscommunication with the person that was translating…
I asked for a trim. Same hair cut, but a little shorter. What I ended up with wasn’t even close to what I came in with! My hair is soooo short in the back! Not much you can do about it once its too short. I did give two stars because like I said, it is not a horrible haircut, I just don’t know how I ended up with it because it is not what I wanted at all!

My first time here a few weeks ago and Ingrid took care of me, I loved her and will definitely return again! I chopped off 10″ or a bit more and got the graduated bob style that I absolutely love!!! She did it exactly how i wanted it, Highly recommended :)

Mayra and Gracie are fantastic when it comes to blowing out my natural hair. Mayra, in particular, is a big fan of the all natural Dominican products, which she has recommended to me. I love the way their products make my hair feel and smell. Also, Salon Allure gets you in and out. No waiting around all day for a simple wash and blow dry.
