Pakistani cuisine with a Mexican option! I went Pakistani on my visit with generally good results. I had some regular naan with the dal fry and two vegetable samosas. The food was very good other than some dryness /crustiness with the samosas. The waiter *and* the proprietor were very pleasant and helpful.

I was in Skokie working on a project and I was leaving Chicago that afternoon. I wanted to treat the crew to a nice lunch so was told to go down Devon Avenue to get something most will eat, half the crew were Muslim. I was amazed at the neighborhood. Loved the sight and the people there. Jewish business next to Muslim business, next to Russian shops, next to Indian restaurants… This is the melting pot America is suppose to be! I asked the owner to prepare lunch for 7 people. He agreed. It took the crew 40 minutes to prepare the meal: lamb briyani, chicken shishkabab, spinach dall, nan bread, etc. It was a huge styrofoam container filled to the brim. It was definitely worth the wait. The food was so awesome I had to find a reason to go back again. I was at the airport gate and they asked for volunteers on the oversold flight. I jumped at the opportunity. Got myself a rented car and went back to the restaurant. The owner remembered me and I asked for the same dish. There was enough food for my breakfast! I highly recommend this place… if I am back in Chicago I will definitely make this restaurant one of my stops.
