I always come here to get my study done on the weekends. The baristas are extremely rude when it comes to refilling my coffee. I like how close it is to where I live but the service is really not worth it.

We have Starbucks all over the city and suburbs, yet this one is one of my favorites. It’s a smaller storefront at the corner of Clark Street and Germania Place on the northern edge of downtown/near north side. I really like that it’s divided into two rooms; the front is where the seating is, and the back room is the store part with the counter, register, and all the equipment. I sometimes have to park illegally to come here, yet I’m always in and out after having received prompt, efficient service. The baristas are consistently pleasant and make the stop well worth it.

Two words. Old espresso. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Also, the barista was extremely rude. What is the protocol for sending bad Starbucks back?

I wish I could give it 5 stars but since they took all the comfy chairs away, it just isn’t as appealing as it once was. They also throw away newspapers that r laying around instead of putting them aside for others to read. This Sbucks is more for business people rather than a gathering place for everyone else. The chairs and tables r uncomfortable to sit around. We don’t go here much anymore

Every single time I come to this location, whether it is busy or not… I wait TOO long for coffee. I don’t order anything extravagant. I was actually 1 of 2 customers that was in the shop and finally after waiting for about 6 minutes after I ordered, I asked about my order. The barista said«oh, I’m sorry. What did you order?» They were standing around talking and completely forgot to make my coffee. HOWDOYOUFORGETMYORDERWHENTHEREISNOBODYELSEINTHESHOP& I literally just ordered from you! This has happened twice at this location. I’m baffled haha. My last and final trip they had a line almost out the door and the baristas were literally in slow motion. No sense of urgency, no multi tasking. Everyone in line was so aggravated and I ended up just walking out. I think everyone that works at this location smokes entirely too much marijuana before their shift.

Slowest SB ever. I like the atmosphere in here and the patio is cute but it should NOT take 15 minutes to get a coffee with less than 10 ppl in line. 1 cashier and 1 barista at 8a is just stupid. Why oh why do you have 3 ppl on pastries and 2 on cleanup at rush hour??? I want to love this location but their inefficiencies will keep me going to another location. Move it long folks.

This Starbucks is very friendly and neighborhood-y and very quaint. But, in the morning I need some efficiency from my barista. Get a move on! Stop talking to the lady and take my order! In the afternoon, chit chat until your hearts content. But get me my caffeine in the morning with some sense of urgency and I’ll be thrilled.

Who woulda thunk that I would give a 5-Star review to a Starbucks?! Not I! The truth of the matter is that this Starbucks has exceeded my expectations. First, their space is organized in a really unique manner. It’s divided into two rooms. One room has a tables a comfy seating — similar to a cozy den. It’s nice that it’s separated from the din of the blenders and steamers from the coffee bar area. The other room is like a regular(but small) Starbucks. It has a counter for taking orders, making drinks, and a glass case with food. There are bar stools for sitting at the bar and also facing the window. The second reason why this Starbucks is exceptional is because of the customer service. I only go in once a week(MAYBE) and the folks somehow manage to remember my drink preferences! Furthermore, they are friendly, but get down to business. Sometimes I might pay for a grande but get handed a venti(not going to complain), and in such a timely manner that I can still run and catch the bus!

This is by FAR the cutest NICEST(service-wise) Starbucks I’ve ever experienced! We went in for a cappuccinno(husband) and hot tea(me) after a comedy show. The employees were GREAT, the drinks as they should be, and the atmosphere very cozy and welcoming! Love it!

I love this starbucks! There is an awesome little fireplace and I grab a drink and work on my laptop in the comfy chairs in front of it for hours.

It was the first time of the year where I actually felt chilled. That kind of chill that you can’t shake and settles deep down into your core and make you want to cry and go back home to California, you know what I mean? And my little baby boo boo’s teeth were chattering, too. Give me shelter. This place saved us from some Dr. Zhivagoian type brutal 40 degree temperatures, with a blaring fireplace(electric?) and a big smooshy chair for the cost of a two dollar drink. It took an hour to warm back up again. Whew. I hope that’s as bad as the cold gets…
