Me and wife ordered 2 taco dinners.. the beans I can tell they are refried can of beans instead of making in house. The steak looked and tasted like steamed steak instead of frying in a pan. barbacoa was bland and dry. I added salt and lots of their green salsa to eat it. place is nice and good space. service was decent. I would of put 5 but the food was nothing amazing. So they only get 3.

Poor! Service and food were awful! I will never ever go back to another Los Comales.

Absolutely disgusting.
They changed their recipes now that they are under the Doña Ana name. I ordered a steak torta with everything. The meat had so much fat and cartilage! The cheese seemed to be a single piece of what tasted like Swiss cheese. Most places would have served shredded cojita or crumbled queso fresco. Even the salsa verde tasted off. Perhaps too much cilantro in it?
My boyfriend had a steak burrito dinner. It was so greasy (not unusual for Mexican food, but the fat is what made it so bad) that it soaked through the foam container and managed to ruin his jeans.
Since I was so disappointed in my torta, my bf offered me his rice and frijoles. I started to eat the frijoles only to find a hair in them. I quickly ran to the bathroom because I started gagging like crazy.
It’s safe to say we are NEVER going back to a Comales under the Doña Ana name.

This is where to go after a late evening out with friends on the Southwest side. If you’re familiar with the chain, it’s a pretty speedy and standard Mexican taquería. Mix a few chorizo, asada and al pastor tacos which are your usual popular favorites. Try the chorizo and egg (with exta avocado) torta anytime of the day.

We had to walk out on this place. I placed my order and waited for my food. Meanwhile other patrons came in ordered and received their food time and time again (3 tables total!). After 20 minutes it must have dawned on the waitress that she should do her job so she walked over and asked us what our order was. Shouldn’t she know?! I mean she had walked over, asked us when we walked in and wrote it down on her pad! If she lost the order why wait 20 minutes to come and ask us to repeat it? So we told her to forget the order because we were leaving and she made no attempt to try to keep our business at that point by making up for it.

I enjoy the quality, however.
An order of guacamole and a chicken taco for 9.50 is pretty steep considering the guacamole was in a small sized styrofoam cup. They couldn’t
Blame it on the cost of avocados because it was mostly, onion, cilantro and tomato with very little avocado. The chicken taco was more like a cilantro and onion taco with a little chicken.
Do yourself a favor. Go across the street to Pacos Tacos much better value and quality.

I am rating this place three starts because there were a couple of things I didn’t like. I ordered two tacos Al Pastor, and they tasted almost identical to Asada tacos. I found them to be very dry to my personal preference and didn’t have that nice red/​orange color to them. I had a medium horchata that was served in a to-​go cup, which I’m still trying to figure out why if I was dining in, and it didn’t look like a medium size. The size I was given is considered a small cup anywhere else. I felt like it was a rip off. It had no flavor and contained more ice than the drink. The rice had absolutely NO flavor to it. It looked so good but so disappointed in flavor. Beans were ok, but the style in which they made them isn’t my preference either. They were a little bit too chalky, if makes any sense. Best Comales is in Pilsen. I definitely recommend that one!

Service is absolutely A1. The most genuine Mexican food for miles. I recommend it to any one. Price is very reasonable and it’s actually open until 4am on the weekend. Owners are very kind and humble ppl and are there frequently

So, far I haven’t have a bad experience about this place, I usually order on my way to work and they are really fast, tacos are tasty and delicious. The tacos could be kind of small for some people but I honestly prefer them like that. I order 3 tacos with a large horchata or jamaica and I get full with it… plus staff is always nice to me and they seem to start to know me… Girls always have a smile on their face… only one time they took awhile to answer the phone, but I am guessing that I am not the only customer they have… so is understandable… plus I been to other comales taquerias and so far this is the best…

This freaking place suck i been calling them for the past hour to place an order and they just dont answer, i guess its their loss taking my business to solazo where there food is even better, i just order from here because is closer to my hone but it really pisses me off when they dont answer i mean if your are not going to answer then why put carryout smh

12÷17÷14 La comida es horrible. Ordene unos tacos y una carne asada, todo estaba exageradamente grasoso. Le pregunte ala mesera que como estaba sasonada la carne y ella ni el cosinero sabian, dijeron que solo el dueno sabia. Mi esposa y yo nos enfermamos. No recomiendo este lugar.

Came here earlier to pick up some tacos for my gf and I so we can share during her lunch break. We’ve always enjoyed los comales tacos from this location. We usually pick up and on occasion we dine in.
We’ve never came across a major problem especially when dining in, maybe because we come during the week and early. I can say it does get crowded on the weekends and especially at night on the weekends being that they close late at 12:00 a.m. daily.
In regards to their food i would suggest just to stick with the normal carne asada with cilantro and cebolla tacos, they are small and greasy but then again taqueria los comales have ALWAYS been know for that. Their agua de orchata is always good especially if you like yours on the sweet side like I do :-)

By far THE WORST MEXICAN FOOD IVE EVER HAD! But what should you really expect? Dirty, blan, old… Bottom line, the food just isn’t good. I feel like the food itself is on the verge of expiration or cross contamination as the few times I’ve visited, I’ve always felt sick immediately following (and this taste goes for its other locations as well). Plenty of better options in the neighborhood. Save your stomach the ache.

Place is horrible! Service sucks, food is mediocre, and their drinks are so sugary you can get diabetes in a few sips. PLEASE GO TO OTHER TAQUERIAS ON PULASKI! If your someone with common sense for mexican food, you should know to go to Pacos Tacos instead which is only few blocks away from this disgusting place.

I’m not going to lie their food is always good here, but I hate eating in. The service is horrible every time I come in the waitresses have an attitude like no other. I mean you can tell right away just by looking at their face. Always leave with a bad taste in my mouth. Comales you need a new service make over

This is my favorite for tortas nice n biggg with actually with alot of meat not only lettuce tomatoes.. real meat. is not expensive at all. n the waitress are nice wat I like bout them they help one other wity attending tables

Simply too DIRTY!!! Food is reheated !!! Yes you read correctly!!! RE HEATED!!! Not fresh!!! I asked for chilaquiles and received tostito chips with fried onion on top and a slap of sour cream. REALLY!!! I DON’T THINK SO!!! Bathrooms are unbearable!!! No toilet paper!!! Yuck!!!

This location you only go for one thing THE STEAK BURRITOS period. I have yet to taste a better overall Burrito around this area stay away from the tiny tacos, chiliaquilies and all that mumbo jumbo and you’ll be fine. I always stick to a Burrito and Horchata and I’m in heaven.

As we were parking outside I could smell some sort of wonderful going on in there. We sat at a booth and our waitress came faster than you can say «vamanos».
The table had a tub of cauliflower, jalapenos, and sliced carrots in a self-​serve fashion. The self serve gardinera type thing was mildy spicy and tart. My favorite was the cauliflower and sliced carrots. All the orders are made fresh and made to your liking.

Him: 3 Carne Asada Tacos, 2 beef tripe tacos, rice, beans, and a horchata.
I think to myself, «damn that’s a big order he must be hungry».
Me: 2 carne asada, and 1 al pastor tacos. No cilantro.
One thing is for sure. The service is freakin’ fast. I LOVE IT!
Yes, the tacos are a tad greasy, I like them that way. The beef tripe was good and crunchy and tasted like chicarons. Al pastor tacos was mildly spicy and amazing, the carne asada tacos tasted like heaven. The only problem with this place was that the tacos were small tacos. When i think of tacos, i think of tortillas the size of my hand. These tortillas were half the size, no bueno. But damn, those tiny little suckers were amazing. I love it. The beans are medium consistency and homemade, you can tell because they leave some whole beans in there possibly for aesthetic purposes.
Good service, faster than Speedy Gonzales himself, good greasy tacos. Good for hangovers. I went during the day because the neighbrhood is super shady.
