Received some of the WORST and DISCRIMINATING treatment in the city!!! After catching the cubs game my husband & I wanted to get a bite so we headed over to 50⁄50 they refused my husband at the door because he was wearing a cubs Jersey… they seriously need to RELAX it’s a SPORTSBAR in Wicker Park. I could understand if we were in River North which is where we actually live and never had a single problem going into any bar/restaurant wearing our Cubs gear especially after a game. My husband wanted to prove a point so we went and purchased a white T-shirt and went back to 50⁄50. While we waited for a cab the security walked over to us and apologized for not letting us in and said the white bald guy with the tatted arms that was standing out in front told him not to let us in. When we finally got back to 50⁄50 the same bald guy just looked at us & smirked. After we were seated we observed a group of gentlemen walking out WITHJERSEYS!!! I will never go back to this place!!! Its unfortunate that zero stars is not an option…

This is my husband and Is all time favorite place in Chicago for wings. The homemade buffalo sauce is awesome, wings are always crispy and meaty. The homemade ranch I could eat on everything. We frequent here often and don’t stray from getting the wicker park salad, wings, and waffle fries as our favorites.

This place doesn’t disappoint! Good food, good drinks, craft beers, and good service. We stopped in on our anniversary before heading to a Bulls game. It’s near the stadium in a nice neighborhood with street parking. We were greeted immediately and picked a high top near the bar, the server was friendly and had knowledge of the menu. I had a turkey burger that was flavorful and a homemade patty not that pre made frozen crap that is often served. My husband had a beef burger and it was a homemade party with lots of flavor. We will definitely be returning!

Heard about this place from a coworker & finally got the chance to stop in for a burger… SO glad I did. My boyfriend & I both decided to get The Fifty. Topped with two large onion rings, bacon, cheddar, &BBQ sauce? Sounded amazing, so why not? I got my sauce on the side & had it cooked medium, as I judge burgers on how they taste that way. Our waitress(very polite & attentive) suggested the waffle fries & our order came out quite fast. One bite & it was bliss! Not only was it a giant burger, the quality of beef was too good for words. It was perfectly cooked — I could taste the bacon-cheddar-onion-rings in every bite! It was great with or without the BBQ sauce. The waffle fries were seasoned & wonderfully crisp too. My bf thoroughly enjoyed his burger as well, though he likes his burgers well done. Either way, we were really happy with our meal. As far as drinks, I had a beer & a shot, my bf had a Jack & coke(he wasn’t too impressed), & a shot as well. Regardless, we came for the burgers & were not disappointed. Definitely will return to try more of their offerings!

If you enjoy being treated like shit, I guess this is your place. I live in the neighborhood, so we come here from time to time. And today was the last straw. I’ll give you the rundown: –Was told they had no outdoor patio seats when they clearly did. Was then treated like they didn’t have time to clean them, took a seat inside. –Waited 15 minutes at an indoor table with no greeting, water, eye contact with any employee. –Went to the hostess stand to ask if we had a waiter. Saw other people doing the same. She was unapologetic and just acted like ‘oh okay, let me find someone.’ –The bartender took multiple shots with patrons, which doesn’t bother me. She started making provocative sexual signs, that does bother me. –Finally got our drinks. The bloody marys are VERYGOOD. because the waitress took so long, she asked for drinks and food in one order. –My husband’s club sandwich had no sauce of any sort on it. He wasn’t offered any mayonnaise or mustard. It was dry and basically some sandwich meat slopped on bread. We can buy that at Jewel. –My tuna taco had an awesome flavor. My slider was worthless. For some award winning patty, it was dry/chewy and the bread was like five times the size of the patty. That pretty much sums it up. Tuna taco and bloodies are great. Everything else is horribly disappointing. The only person who gave a damn about anything was the guy who brought our food… he was actually nice and worked hard. I’ve been here a handful of times. ‘Best sports bar in America’ my rear. Don’t bother with this place. The owner should fire everyone and start over because the space is cool.

I don’t know how this place is rated 3.5 stars. I think The Fifthy/50 is awesome! From its food to the ambiance to the outdoor patio in the summers. I have been here quite a few times and I definitely recommend this place to everyone who loves Waffle Fries. They have the most amazing ones I have ever had. Always crisp and fresh. The wings are phenomenal and they are huge. The Mac N’ Cheese is the bomb. It’s both creamy and cheesy with a touch of crunch due to the bread crumbs. The side dish is a well portion for at least two people. I always go with some items of the seasonal specials but their burgers are good and big. I highly recommend this place and it’s a cool sports bar to watch the game.

So I’ve been here a few times and I usually just come for some typical bar food with friends so I took my friend from out of town because I was thinking«you can’t go wrong with bar food.» I have never gotten the wings before but the menu display bragged about their award winning wings so we decided to get the smoke bbq and spicy garlic(recommended by our waitress). The smoke bbq were okay but the spicy garlic was unbearable to eat because the flavor was just not tasty. And because we got so many wings, we told our waitress that we weren’t happy with the spicy garlic wings and she just said«okay» and walked off. Next thing you know some«manager» type dude comes to our table nonchalantly and asks us what the problem was so we literally sat there explaining why we didn’t like the spicy garlic flavor and how it’s not like any typical spicy garlic flavor and he just says«okay, just eat the smoke bbq.» And walked away. He didn’t offer us to switch out the flavor or didn’t let us know what was going on. He just walked off… So we tried to finish the mediocre wings and fries and the waitress brought us our check. They deducted some of the price to accommodate for our dissatisfaction with the wings but they didn’t offer us any customer service or follow-up to make sure we were happy. They literally seemed annoyed with us, even though we were very polite when we said we could not finish the spicy garlic wings but that we were okay with the bbq. Also, these wings are huge!!! Like why are they so big? But, anyways long story short we did not appreciate the customer service here nor the food. The employees didn’t seem to care about our experience and just cut the price just to make us shut up lol. Nonetheless, I won’t be returning ever again although I have been an avid customer here before this last visit.

The wings are very huge, a little to big to be chicken wings. Makes you wonder if the chickens were injected with some steroids… Also the spicy garlic flavor is disgusting.

Super solid sports bar. Great food(cheese curds are my favorite ever), and the brunch is awesome(breakfast lasagna FTW). We tend to come here on game day which is exactly what it’s meant for. One time I tried the four-courser, the sandwich from food network… I know, not my most lady-like moment. It didn’t really live up to the hype, there’s tons of way better options on the menu!

Food was okay. Not very busy, and inviting atmosphere. Lack of beers on tap and apparently they let any kind of person in on Friday and Saturday nights. This creates a low class unsafe environment

Went here on a Saturday night with a couple other buddy’s who also hadn’t been here before. I’d heard about this place before, and was eager to try. The waitress informed me that they make everything in house, and source ingredients locally– awesome. My buddies were running a bit late, and the staff were not bothered at all. I ordered some fried pickles, which are my favorite app. They were okay, nothing special. A bit spicy, but not too overpowering. I got the burger with pulled pork and merkts cheese and I also got waffle fries. The burger was delicious, pretty top notch, definitely recommend. Fries were quite tasty too. I tried one of the smoked wings my friend ordered, they were good as well. They’re a little larger than average IMO. Now, to the intangibles. The wait staff had water on lockdown. As 3 young guys trying to stay hydrated before a night on the town, we were downing the water, yet we never had empty glasses, very impressive. During our visit, the bulls game was on. During halftime they cut the audio to play music. Right as the 2nd half was about to start, a song I loved came on(If I ruled the world by Nas). Unfortunately, they switched the audio back to the broadcast. I expressed disappointment with my friends that I was teased by the brief snippet. Our waitress overheard and turned the music back on for me! My kinda lady. Lastly, towards the end of our meal our waitress knocked a water over. Being the review reading fiend I am, I knew this had happened to someone else, and they were not pleased with their effort to right the problem. Our spill was cleaned up efficiently, and within 30 seconds a manager came over and offered us all shots. For 3 young dudes on a Saturday night, this was the perfect amend. Definitely will be back here.

I’m going to stick with 4 stars on this. Brunch is great, service is good, but waiting sucks. Especially during Bears games. Brunch has $ 24 mimosa buckets, for at least 5 glasses. Otherwise they are $ 7 each I believe.

Perfect spot for a Sunday gathering with Good Friends and Great Football. Plenty of screens to watch the games! $ 24 Mimosa Buckets! The wings, burgers, chicken nachos and waffle fries were DELISH! The fried pickles were the only menu item that wasn’t a hit for us. We sat upstairs, and loved the atmosphere! Our waitress Meagan was very knowledgeable regarding the menu. As it was our first visit! I could see myself going back often and possibly renting out the space for an event!

Mediocre at best. Great in the summer to sit on the patio, great for large groups, the food is just OK. I’ve had almost everything on the menu including the wings, nachos, burgers, and desert, everything is always good but not great. I wouldn’t come and eat here just because but in the summer to have some drinks or to watch a game in so in! On the weekends in turns into a clubby atmosphere and they have a DJ in the basement, we’ve had an altercation here with security before after I was groped by some man & least to say they were unapologetic, unsympathetic, and unprofessional when I called a few days later to discuss the ordeal. Hence that one night I will admit I have been back here with my girlfriends because hanging out here when it’s hot outside is actually quite nice

I love all the restaurants in the Fifty/50 group! I’ve only been to Fifty/50 twice, but both times have been great experiences. The first time we went to catch a sports game. They have an awesome patio with TVs outside, but it’s always so packed so we just sat inside. The draft menu is a little short compared to some other places down the street, but the beer they do have is quality, so I can’t complain! They have a decent variety of bottles too. I ordered the Mother Nature burger. Very solid, homemade veggie burger but it’s pretty dry and doesn’t come with any sauce. Nothing a little ketchup on the side can’t remedy! It was good enough that I just went back and got it again this past week. We sat at the bar this time and had an amazing bartender. On Wednesdays they have half price burger night… not that the burgers are regularly expensive, but that’s a hell of a deal!

First time here, there really wasn’t that much of a wait but parking was a disaster. Service was quick and food was good. I feel like it was just a regular burger… Nothing too too special. Was good but don’t know if this would be #1 on my list of places I would return again.

After a long walk up and down division street trying to find a place to eat that fit our food atmosphere and wallet desires, my friend and I ran into The 50. It was a little before 7 on a Wednesday, the outside patio was packed with sports fans and burgers and we asked the host if we could see the menu — only to find out all burgers on Wednesday’s are half off!!! We wanted to sit upstairs and got seated immediately and our waitress rushed to our table so we would have time to order a beer in time for happy hour(which ends at 7). There were probably 30 burger options to pick from. My friend ordered the turkey burger and I ordered the vegan burger, both with delicious sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries did not cost anything extra, unlike most restaurants, which is a huge plus in my book. Why punish me for trying to be a little healthy? The food came out after 45 minutes of waiting but we were expecting a long wait considering the Cubs were on and it is a sports bar. Besides, we had never seen the Cubs and we had a good time watching it and joining in on everyones reactions around us. The burgers were huge and delicious. The vegan burger had a bean base and came with avocado. We honestly could have split a burger and fries. But hey we were hungry and each burger was only $ 5 with the special. That is insanity! They have deals all week and I remember seeing they have half off salads one day so I’m definitely going to have to check that out. This is a place to come if you want to enjoy some beer and good food with some friends. I definitely recommend it.

This place has great wings ! That being said, the cornbread that looks appetizing is not & don’t bother with the red sangria it’s not good. The waitress we had was totally cool, I can’t remember her name but, she is a cute blonde with a funny personality. Great selection of beers and fun atmosphere.

The Fifty/50 was a great sports bar to watch the game. I ordered a bucket of champagne(that’s miller high life for all of the bougie folk), some nice grub and watch the game of your choice on one of the many TVs scattered throughout. Being a Lions fan, I felt quite welcome and actually befriended some Bears fans. I ordered a cobb salad which was quite good as well as some dangerously good fried cheese curds.

Being from Atlanta, I always enjoy visiting Chicago as I feel the food offerings here are much better than that in the metro Atlanta area. We went to this spot on a Sunday night to watch some football and grab some wings, and the overall experience was great. Tons of TVs showing the Sunday Night Football game, and you could actually hear the game which I always enjoy at a sports bar. As for the wings — best I have ever had. Great size wings, and the flavors we had were great. Service was on point, and just an overall great experience and evening to be out at a sports bar. The front opens up to their patio which is perfect for the early Fall weather. Definitely would like to come back here when I’m back in Chicago. Very cool spots surrounding the area as well.

Holy shit does this place suck. I came here yesterday(9⁄7) around 5ish with my boyfriend to try their«delicious wings» and was completely unsatisfied. We ordered boneless wings, half spicy garlic & have buffalo and we seriously couldn’t taste the difference. Isn’t buffalo suppose to have ATLEAST a kick of spicyness to it? I felt as if all the wings were drenched in mild sauce. We also ordered onion rings and friend pickles. The onion rings were ok, the fried pickles tasted too sweet and just threw me off completely. There was this super annoying LOUD obnoxious girl who was obviously super wasted just a few tables down & I swear she was louder than the music playing. Maybe that’s another reason why I’m giving this place 1 star, because my boyfriend and I literally couldn’t have a damn conversation in this place at freaking 5 in the afternoon. Our server was nice, but we left hungry and he wasted $ 60sum on such an unenjoyable experience. If you wanna try their wings because you’ve heard they’re good… They’re not. Stick to bdubs.

I don’t explore much when I go to Division. I dont know why because there are a bunch of cool looking places around. However, I am stuck on the naughty lemonades at fifty/50 though so nothing in the area even peeks my interest. The place is a bit dark and nothing special. They have an upstairs and a downstairs, and a seasonal patio. Nothing in the decoration department that makes me go whoa. However the food is great. I can go as far as saying that: I think its possibly the best bar food I know. I go to 50 for cheat days because they have good comfort food. Great burgers, good fries, good wings, amazing mac and cheese, delicious nachos and the yummiest salad in the world, the wicker park salad. So yea if you are in the area, give it a shot. I highly doubt you will be disappointed.

Mouth is watering already. Fifty/50 is so good. I don’t recommend you bring your child with like we did, it isn’t very kid friendly. But I think I can still muster together a pretty good review non-the-less. It is clean! I love clean places that I plan to eat at. Just sayin. It’s very sports-oriented. I assume it would be a good place to watch sports, if you like that kind of thing. Not much of a plus for me since I don’t know even the basics behind most sports. I digress, the drinks here are reasonably strong for the price. I was very impressed. I hate a place that charges an arm and a leg for a not-so-vodka-cranberry. The burgers were delish. I was honestly taken by surprise. I am a fat girl in a skinny girl’s body, so I like a good burger, I am coming back. I have slowly narrowed down my acceptable places to eat on Division and Fiffty/50 had made the list. Go in, you won’t be disappointed

I’ve been here 4 or 5 times now and my experiences have ranged between very good and tremendous. A couple of gems on the menu: for drinks, try the beer-mosa. It’s a refreshing brunch drink with Hoegaraden beer and fresh, and I do mean fresh, squeezed OJ. Forget those Bloody Marys, this is the perfect start to a Sunday brunch. I’ve had a number of things on the menu. The burgers and sandwiches are amazing. The bison burger is amazing, as is the Division, with mushrooms, onions, and gouda. Then there’s the Philly foldover, a reinvented Phily cheesesteak that sells out a lot! The crunch of the pizza bread, the juicy steak, the melted cheese; it’s a phenomenal sandwich. Of course, there’s the infamous 4-courser. I’ve had it about three times and there’s no other sandwich on earth quite like it. Definitely get some extra BBQ sauce and keep pouring it on as you plow through this thing. The sweet potato fries are ok, but could use some more crunch. On the negative end, watch out for the garlic creamed spinach. I love garlic, but there was so much of it, that I felt my stomach starting to hurt. The BBQ ribs were decent, but defintely not worth ordering again. They were moist, but not enough meat on the bones. The service is usually really good. Jessica was my server two days ago and she was incredibly friendly and quick to offer refills on my drinks. I tend to drop in maybe twice a year and I’m sure I’ll continue to do so.

Stopped in for lunch recently and tried their Division burger. Perfect time too, as the Wednesday special was half-price burgers. You CANNOT beat $ 7 burgers like this in the city. Hats off to the chef, as this baby was cooked perfectly to medium goodness. The burger itself was stuffed with caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms, Gouda cheese, and topped with bacon, Swiss cheese, and BBQ sauce(drool). Every freaking bit of this burger was splendiforous! From the seasoning and toppings, to the triple secret patty, even down to the pretzel roll, this sammie excelled exponentially. Lest I forget the well-seasoned side of fresh cut sweet potato fries paired with an original and interesting brown sugar sweet ketchup. Service was on top of things throughout, and consistently kept the drinks coming. Ticket times ran about 20 minutes, which for a freshly made burger was completely acceptable. My co-diner thoroughly enjoyed his tomato soup, and added that the Chicken Caesar salad wasn’t half bad either. Definitely worth a visit if in the neighborhood, and for out-of-towners its definitely worth the trip. With great food, a huge drink menu, and plenty of TVs to satisfy your pro sports thirst, there’s no guessing why this place is at the top of their sports bar class, and keep the fans coming back. P. S. The Fifty/50 is police friendly!

Came here on a Sunday morning with a girlfriend of mine. The place is nice it’s a great atmosphere I loved the layout. It wasn’t very busy at all when we got there we were seated rather quickly. However the waitress took a while to come to our table I waited a while to see if she would arrive and nothing, I went to the bathroom and in that time she did come and my friend placed an order for a Bucket of Mimosas. I glanced the menu they have deals weekly for both food and drinks which is awesome. I love a good deal… Best part of the whole thing was the FOOD! Sweet baby jesus I ordered what they call they’re breakfast lasagna and it was DEEEELIIICIOUSSSS. Layers of potatoes with onions and bacon and cheese and then top with a fried egg, I was in breakfast heaven. The portions are CRAZY huge I couldn’t even get thru half of this monster. lol MY friend she ordered a breakfast skillet that she was also very happy with. Overall the foood was amazing but I would’ve liked a little more friendliness from the waitress. can’t wait to come back and try their lunch and dinner menus.
