Great selection without leaving the city. It is tough to find a spot inside Chicago that has equipment to try on and see before you by(vs online). I ultimately returned my purchase as it was too small and my size was not available but I will be back… most likely for stringing and pieces as my old equipment is retired.

I brought my daughter’s stick in to the Bannockburn location. I hope it’s the same owner. Her stick seemed like it needed to be restrung, but actually only one string needed to be replaced. The gentleman replaced it quickly and efficiently and then didn’t charge me. We bought a ball, just to show our appreciation. This is the way to run a business. I will definitely be back for ALL of her lacrosse equipment needs.

Great selection, expert staff, fantastic customer service. The staff answered all the questions I had, showed expertise in their product knowledge, and made the shopping experience worth the long drive I had to the store.

My son plays lacrosse and isn’t one of those«equipment» geeks. He isn’t one to always want the newest(most expensive) gear. He understands that it’s the player not the stick. Anyway, he recently asked for some new pads. We had to wait about two weeks to get to the store, but WELLWORTHIT. Great selection. Maybe a little more then«Dicks», but i’d rather have the choice of all the gear. He was able to find the right gear that fit the best. Another great aspect is the employee’s are knowledgeable. They had an adult and a few kids, but all were very nice to deal with. They have the shooting cage with the speed gun. Very nice for the boys to goof around in. They have a helmet display for the top 5 high schools. Of course the Ramblers are on top… and if anyone asks who put Wabonsie ahead of Lake Forest… wasn’t me…:)

Great store for all you could ever need for girls and mens lacrosse. There’s even a goal in back with a radar gun to test your new stuff or clock your shot.

I recently visited The Lax Shop and was blown away with how its set up. Felt like a kid in a candy store. I’ve never been to a shop dedicated solely to lacrosse before. I don’t think there’s a store like this anywhere in Illinois. They carry every major lax brand in store and all the accessories you could ever possibly need. The shooting area in the back is sweet too, lets you see how fast you’re shooting on goal and you can test out your stringing. Oh, and the lax art they have hanging on the walls is awesome, great stuff! These guys for sure know their lax. I will definitely be stopping in again soon.
