Toppers Pizza

If I could give negative stars I would. This location is the worst. I placed my order and never received it. I called and they gave an excuse that they only had one driver and the manager really did not care. Do not order from this establishment! The faster they go out of the business the better.

Don’t go to this Toppers! Had a Groupon, so we thought we’d give it a shot and ignore the bad reviews. How can you mess up a pizza? Bad idea!
1^st off, we went for carry out, and were told it would be 15 minutes. «15 minutes, we can wait here then,» I thought. Bad idea!
30 minutes later: Still waiting. Ok, we’ll give them some more time (didnt think 5:30pm would be a busy time for them)
40 minutes: Still waiting, a family that ordered before us is asking where there pizza is. They are given a coupon.
50 minutes: The other family’s pizza is ready. I ask how much longer for ours, no real answer, but someone comes over and gives us a coupon. I look at the coupon, expires in 1 week, and is 50% off a regular price pizza. No thanks, where is my pizza???
1 hour: Pizza is finally ready, go home and eat it. Smoky BBQ chicken Pizza was really bland. Domino’s, Pizza Hut or even a frozen pizza would have been better choices, and cheaper too.
TL;DR: Don’t go to this Toppers, there’s a Dimo’s a block away

This place is pretty bad. If you have respect for pizza, then you probably shouldn’t order from here. If you don’t have respect for pizza, this would be a downgrade from your normal Domino’s order.

14 inch pizza (½ sausage ½ roni) delivered .5 miles. 27 $ with tip. I guess if I lived in rural Missouri… This pizza would be ok. Pizza dough was pre-​made. Def frozen. Thin crispy crust. Sausage was good and roni was standard. This was a good frozen pizza. Kind of tasted like a jack’s frozen pizza. The only thing is a jack’s frozen pizza cost 5 $ and is bogus. So I paid 22 $ too much for this crappy frozen pizza. I would of been better off going to sleep hungry. Dang man. Don’t get this pizza if you live in Chicago… You will definitely be pissed off. Writing this review. I’m getting more heated. I paid 27 $ for a decent frozen pizza. Delivery driver also waited in car to see if I would walk to down… Lol.

So I bought a Unilocal deal for $ 25 for $ 50. I should have called the place first. They do not even accept it. They say they are a ‘franchise’ and it’s for corporate. Then why is this Unilocal deal on this locations page???
The people were rude and did not do anything to fix the situation as I just wanted $ 25. Never doing Unilocal deals again.

Ordered delivery from here and WOW was the driver rude! I can deal with that. But the pizza was meh. we ordered a taco pizza for us and a pepperoni for the kids. They gave us one little dressing container of salsa for their largest pizza and two little things of sour cream. It was totally soggy and cold but the time we got it and the kids pizza looked more like bread sticks. Like a frozen pizza with enogh cheese on it to say it had cheese.

I tried this place twice. TWICE. Honestly, I should have quit after the first try.
My roomates and I ordered one pizza for delivery. Toppers is close enough to be convenient, but far enough that it could be a hassel to walk there. It took an HOUR and FORTY-​FIVE minutes for that one, cold, greasy pizza to get to us (not to mention, the toppings were wrong).
Whatever. Fine. You are having a busy night. So, about a month later, we decide to give it another shot. Same deal. Took forever and the order was incorrect. When I called in to very politely ask about the ETA, the woman who answered the phone was just… a jerk. I get it– I have worked in food and retail and customers can be absolutely unbearable. But I was using my phone voice and everything. I was trying so hard to be the absolute nicest— and still.
Overall, the prices and the wait and the terrible customer service are not worth it. HARD PASS.

I also experienced the same problem that a lot of the reviews address about the employees not knowing the specials. It was strange because it was one they had a big poster about outside saying you could get a large pizza and topper stix combo for 18.99 $ I believe. And the total was way more. We were like what? and so another employee helped us. Both were super friendly, but the pizza and stix were just meh. It was nothing special, almost like something you could get from the frozen pizza aisle.

Delivered in good time. Pizza tasted good. Fine crust spongy inside and slightly crunchy outside. Good toppings as well.

Ordered from here when they first opened and was pleasantly surprised (had the buffalo chicken hand tossed). Unfortunately it’s been downhill since. Tried the taco pizza and I couldn’t even finish one slice. It seemed to be barely cooked (room temp at best) and when I tried to pick it up it fell apart in my hand. The toppings looked like they were just thrown on. Disappointing to say the least. Gave them another opportunity and ordered the toppers sticks which were just ok. Nothing special there. Staff is nice and courteous, but it appears that management has taken a back seat lately because the food quality has been poor. I will not be going back for round #4

Wings are good but covered in fat still. Service was good! Planning to try the pizza next time. There will be a next time for sure.

This place is located in a little strip by UPS and a few other little shops. I didn’t really intend on coming inside, I actually was only over here to go to the UPS store to mail a few things. However, my lovely car decided not to start right in the parking lot and I was hungry so I stopped in while I waited for my husband to figure out why my jalopy of a car wasn’t working.
First of all the kids that work at the cash register are funny and upbeat. One of them actually gave my husband a hand with the car and they got it running (I guess the connection on the battery was loose. Go Figure!) I had my three kids with me and we ate the pizza while we waited. The pizza isn’t like gourmet or anything, but it’s cheap and pretty good. I like the toppersticks they have.
I do have to say though the woman manager with short black hair (sorry didn’t catch her name I was a little stressed at the time with three kids under 10 and a broken car) but she was the nicest lady ever. She really tried to make me feel a little better, and put up with my obnoxious kids with a smile. A Plus in customer service, and a B on the pizza.

I was very pleased with the food and service. They had a driver that did not show up to work and I ordered during the dinner rush, so the delivery was delayed. I called to make sure my order went through and the manager had explained what happened. He was very nice and gave me 50 that’s right 50% off my next order, which I did not ask for or even need (but loved). The driver was also very nice and she apologized for the situation. These things happen and for me the way they handled it was more than exceptional.
I ordered a large hand tossed with pepperoni, sausage, onions, and mushrooms and it was delicious! I also ordered the parmesan garlic boneless wings, and those were good, not great but I would get them again. Hope this review helps.

Horrible service! Employees unaware of their own specials too. One time I ordered over the phone for pickup and was told 25 minutes, when I arrived and asked for my order they had not even started it and had a hard time looking it up in their system. They forgot. I tried giving them another shot and called a couple of weeks later and the kid on the phone was unaware of their own specials, he wanted to charge me 25 bucks for a special that their answering machine says is 13.99, I told him to call his own number and he said he didn’t have too. Lol, not the brightest people in this location I guess.

This is by far the worst pizza I have ever had. I couldn’t even finish one slice. The sticks were equally bad. I originally was excited for a new pizza place, but this place really let me down. What a waste of $ 25.

I am very pleased with every order I have had delivered which is up to four at this point in time. Great pizza, dough is fluffy sauce is tasty and the cheese is great. It has the flavor of my hometown favorite pizza place growing up in Connecticut. Delivery is spot on timewise and extremely friendly drivers. Topper sticks were Ok, the wife likes their ranch. I will be ordering from here on a weekly basis.

Manager Jackie unaware of the specials; almost charged me $ 10 more for my order. And I live a mile away from the location and was told that they don’t deliver to my house. Wonderful!

I was originally excited to see a new pizza place in the neighborhood, but this was awful. We ordered an original Topperstix, which are pictured online as strips of cheesy bread. Most of the stix we received had NO cheese on them whatsoever. A few pieces had a little bit of cheese. These were basically overpriced breadsticks.
Honestly, I’d strongly prefer Domino’s or any other chain pizza joint over this one. Won’t be coming back here.

We ordered Toppers the weekend it opened because they sent us a flyer that looked awesome. They told us 30 minutes for delivery on a Saturday night, yay! So excited it wasn’t like an hour and a half. Well, it actually was, haha. More like an hour (totally fine, but they seemed backed up bc they only told us 30 min) Anyway, when they arrived they were sooo apologetic and even wrote us a coupon for our next order on a paper plate. The pizza was super good. We ordered a Chicken bacon each thin crust and a regular crust chicken toscano pizza. Both were awesome. We also got an order of original topper stix. I really like that they have so many dipping sauces! The real impressive factor came this week when we got a personally hand written letter addressed to us for $ 25 off our next order since our first time ordering was so late. Now that is customer service! We will definitely be ordering again! I love all the unique flavors of pizzas too!
