My boyfriend purchased a shirt from this store on when he finally decided to wear the merchandise the back of the shirt tore near the right sleeve, near the seam, but not on the seam. Although it was extremely disappointing that simply putting the shirt on had caused such damage, we thought that a simple visit to the store would ease our disappointment. I work at the Nordstrom on Michigan Ave which is literally right next door to this store, so it only made since for me to stop in and return the shirt for my boyfriend on my lunch break. When I first came into the store I initially wanted to just exchange the damaged item for the exact same item, the gentleman who greeted and serviced me when I walked into the store was pleasant and as helpful as he could be. Unfortunately the shirt I needed was out of stock the gentleman then made an effort to find a similar shirt in the same size, of which I did appreciate, but i just didn’t want to take the chance of exchanging the shirt for another that my boyfriend wouldn’t like just as much as the one I was returning. I then asked if i could just return the merchandise, the gentleman then went to get a woman by the name of ERICA, which I assumed was the manager in charge at the time. THISISWHEREMYEXPERIENCEBECAMEEXTREMELYUNPLEASANT. I explained to Erica the exact same story I described to the gentleman who initially serviced me. I explained to her that I wanted to exchange the shirt for the exact same shirt, but the store was out of stock, so I asked her if i could simply return the item, she was neither friendly nor cooperative. The way she spoke to me was extremely immodest and just to keep it simple rude. I knew at that moment that before she even saw my face she was prepared to decline any request I had that would lead to me leaving the store a happy and satisfied customer. She asked me if the tear happened before or after my boyfriend wore the merchandise. I told her before. She then explained to me that since the tags were removed and the tear was not at the seam that I couldn’t return the merchandise because it is considered worn and she also stated that since the tear was not on the seam that the damage is more than likely due to something my boyfriend caused not the due to the quality of the merchandise. She not only treated me as if I was a liar but also as if I was wasting her time and she was ready and willing to say anything to dismiss me. I explained to her that that should never happen, and that that kind of damage should never occur due to attempting to wear it, she then said«well as you can see all those shirts are sold out and we have never had that problem so he more than likely caused the damage». At this point I was fuming, I honestly couldn’t believe that a company could put so little trust into their customers, my boyfriend has been a true religion fan for years, he probably has spent his annual salary on your merchandise its ridiculous! As i stated earlier i work for Nordstrom which is right next door to your store we treat our customers with the utmost respect, and supply the highest level of customer service to our guests. I could never imagine treating a customer the way I was treated. Also we sell true religion merchandise at our store this experience would deter any customer from ever stepping foot back into this store, and lead them right into the store right next door who would make a transaction like this quick easy and satisfying. Erica never attempted to accommodate me in any way, I would have been more than happy if she offered me store credit, or even if she attempted to find the same shirt in another store for me, she did absolutely nothing but make what should have been a simple hassle free experience in to one of the worst experiences I have ever had at any retailer. She simply shoved a business card in my face with the number to customer service and told me to have a nice day. Believe me i have had my share of difficult customers i have worked retail for 7 years but i was everything but difficult and what i was asking for would not have been hard to accommodate had she put forth any type of effort. I don’t suggest anyone shop here, they don’t value their customers

Great post-holiday sale here. I found religion(groan) a few weeks ago when I stopped in the store to get a look at a striped top I’d spotted in the window. This location is small, occupying a slice of ground-level real estate at the Shops at North Bridge. I am hoping this store does not succumb to the vagaries of business cycles, as I was pleased to discover a well-organized selection of items, including a respectable selection of shirts, activewear, and accessories to complement the ubiquitous denim. In addition to the striped top I’d been eyeing, I wound up with a long-sleeved skinny black layering tee, and a plaid utility shirt in an elevated fabrication with gold snaps. Although I am partial to AG jeans, I might stop by here when I need to replenish – there were a pair of gold waxed coated denim that already head me thinking ahead to next year’s holiday festivities.
