False Advertising of Huge Discounts aka ANNUAL SALES!!!
My wife and I think the product they offer is decent. But buyers be aware, their pricing is Confusing. We were there in Nov 2014 and we got a quote for bedroom pieces at full price. We went in today during their promotion «Everything 20% to 50%» off hoping it will be marked down at least 20% as advertised. To our surprise prices of the same exact furniture pieces that were quoted to us in Nov 2014 are now marked up and then discounted to match the same exact price from Nov 2014. So we are wondering where is the discount… the big «Annual Sale». Just seems like another advertising gimmick!
We have written quote for both situations if anyone is interested!

I’ve also had nothing but the best experiences with the personnel and the furniture at Unplugged. I shopped for furniture all over Chicagoland for more than six months and ended up buying a dresser, nightstand, bedside chest, hall bench mirror, coffee table, dining room table and chairs, side tables, and dining room buffet at Unplugged and its related stores in Crystal Lake and other suburbs. I did not see more beautiful and well-​crafted furniture anywhere else.
Most of what I purchased was from the Unplugged store because they had some exceedingly beautiful pieces at very reasonable prices and because I came to trust the personnel who helped me there — i.e., Jayme, Ted, and Jourdan — all of whom have been extremely informative, unpretentious, and accommodating.
Everything I’ve bought there is made of real wood — oak, maple, cherry, or elm — none of that veneered stuff, press-​board, or asian wood that’s ubiquitous at other furniture stores nowadays. I’d be shocked it I ever needed it, but Unplugged’s lifetime guarantee of its furniture doesn’t hurt either.
Unplugged also has its own delivery employees. The guys who delivered the pieces I didn’t pick up myself knew what they were doing, had worked there a long time, and seemed to take a good deal of pride in doing a good job and delivering quality furniture.

I have purchased four pieces of furniture from here: A custom-​made elm standing desk, a sofa, a dining room table and chairs, and a small console-​table in cherry. My experience with this company, and Jayme Abbajay, has been excellent. The furniture is the best furniture you can buy, and Jayme’s knowledge about it is excellent. He has great ideas, and he will work with you to design exactly what you want.
Some tips: the showroom only has a small portion of what is possible to make, so come prepared with some idea of what you want. Every item can be made in a number of different woods, with a number of different stains. Think about what sort of color and style you want before you come. It will save time and effort.

It looks as if Barbara C. (below) has the wrong impression of Unplugged Furniture, Jourdan and her customer service. I have worked with Jourdan on multiple occasions and I only have good things to say! I would not believe for a second that the whole truth was told in the one star review that was placed below. Jourdan has wonderful customer service. She takes care of her clients with the utmost respect and attentiveness. What Barbara C. seems to forget is that the employees of Unplugged are not the ones building the table. Her judgement is unfair and misplaced.
If you are looking for great customer service, a well-​built piece of furniture and a wonderful experience, specifically ask for Jourdan at Unplugged furniture. You won’t regret it!

I’m very disappointed to have to leave a one star review, as I had such a positive initial experience with Jourdan, who helped me design my table. Unfortunately, the dining table (s) that arrived were poorly made and I experienced poor service to resolve.
The first table arrived in the window quoted, and was beautiful — from a distance. Visible chips, dings in the apron every inch of the entire perimeter of the table. Not a result of shipping, as the finish/​color was intact. Table was also the wrong color. UP sent a repair man who agreed the apron needed to be replaced and the color of the table was materially different from the requested color.
Second table arrives. It’s the right color, but none of the corners of the table are square and the wood is beginning to split. There’s also a new gap where the leaves come together, a gap that wasn’t in the first table. Sent photos and got a bunch of excuses and an offer of $ 100. On a custom, large, multi-​leaved solid wood table.
Oh and a promise to look after any damages if I can’t get the split repaired. I asked for that it writing. Radio silence after repeated follow-​up emails and telephone calls. It’s been over a month and still no response.

Clarifying my earlier review as other reviewers interpreted that I suggested Jourdan provided poor service. Jourdan was fantastic and a very talented designer, but unfortunately, she is not the one I was directed to to fix the issues.
Everything else is (unfortunately) accurate. A response confirming what was proposed would have gone a long way to me not having to write this review.

I ordered a dining room table and chairs in early Feb, 2014. Was told it would be 10 to 12 weeks; then 12 to 14 weeks. It is now 16 weeks and 3 phone calls and another visit to store to inquire when we can expect delivery. Each time the sales persons are arrogant and condescending, unable to determine the status of the constructions, and promise (but never do) to call back with an update. I would not recommend ordering any custom furniture from this company.

Beautiful, custom, Amish-​made furniture. The ability to custom order the species of wood, the finish, the hardware really made us comfortable that we were getting pieces that we wanted.
We stopped in here while we were on our way to another furniture store. We had no expectations and walked out buying EXACTLY what we were looking for (storage bed, 2 dressers).
They have large selection of dining room, bedroom, office and living room furniture. Mostly hardwood, but some upholstered pieces are available too (chairs, sofas).
For reference, the prices were about 20% lower than Room & Board.

Huge selection of mostly amazing wooden furniture that can be custom built in any stain. New coffee table great. Lamp selection was huge — luv the one I got. Great rug selection — got 2. Staff very helpful.

Quick notes on furniture shopping:
I happened to walk in here while browsing for furniture in the area. They have a very big selection of dining tables and chairs — all wood though. For a house, they may have some good stuff. For a condo, not so much. I liked the wooden rustic style but wasn’t able to fit anything in mine. Prices seemed fair and people at least greeted you as you walked in (surprising how many stores don’t do that).
