I love love love this nail salon. Everyone who works here is very friendly and welcoming and they have a huge selection of colors to choose from. Tom, the owner, is the best nail tech there in my opinion and he never lets me down when I show up to my appointment with some crazy nail designs off Pinterest! They’re also very clean and reasonably priced. The pedicure chairs and services they offer are also fantastic!

Rude and should not be in business. I made an appt. and then was told to sit in the Pedicure chair and wait. I was on my lunch hour. These people do not even deserve to be in business. They will not be in business that long if this is how they conduct business. I felt very un-​welcomed.

I’ve tried almost every nail salon in Chico and in Yuba City, and no-​one has been able to close to this nail salon! I drive 2 hours just for Tom (hands down the best, courteous manicurist) I’m not easy to please when it comes to nails… and Tom exceeds all expectations! Every time I leave this place I am fully content with my nails… Money well spent!

I love everything about this place, I have been going here since they first opened. The staff here is simply amazing.
The hot stone pedicure is very relaxing, they do a great job on gel nails, and Vivian waxes my brows.

I get my nails done every two weeks and I’ve been going to another salon since I’ve lived here and today I tried this place because my usual one was closed. Today Vivian gave me the most perfect full set I have ever gotten. She paid so much attention to detail; they’re literally flawless. I’m so happy I came here but so annoyed that I settled for that other place for so long. I’m picky about my nails and I have zero complaints about my visit at Lucy’s.

I got my first gel manicure here over a year ago and Jessica did a great job. Was seeing her at least once a month to change colors then one day she wasn’t there so someone else did em… Wasn’t the same. Tried a couple different people for gel manicures n didn’t like em. Still go in for pedis but haven’t seen her around in a long time.
Vivian & Tom are great. Most days they’ll squeeze me in or stay open late if I’m running behind. Really good customer service.
They’re getting busy tho. Not sure if it’s just bc the students are back or what.

I had the milk and honey pedicure ($ 35). Lovely! Large, wide open area. Feels very huge inside. I went in the morning, and it was super quiet. Great massage! She did a fantastic job in spending time massaging my calves and feet. My only complaint was the polish job. She missed areas in my nails, and didn’t cover the entire nail.

It took me some time to find a nail salon in Chico that I felt comfortable at and that I knew would do a good French pedicure. The pedicure itself was wonderful. The massage made me nearly fall asleep it was so good. And the final painted results were up to my picky standards. There is none of the inappropriate talking, or loud music which I really liked. The place was clean and welcoming. And they have a plethora of polishes to choose from both regular, and gel. They’re prices are very welcoming as well. I will definitely be coming back here for another pedicure soon!

This is my new go to place! I’ve been here a handful of times and I’ve been pretty pleased so far!

This was my first time here and thank god I found this place! I was having such a hard time finding a place in Chico that could do my nails as well as the Bay Area salons I have been too!
Everyone was super friendly, the salon was one of the cleanest I have seen, and the prices were awesome!
It was only $ 23 to get my nails done and the guy that did them was really nice and did an awesome job!
I’m so glad I found this salon and I’ll definitely be back!

I loved how they didn’t just resort to using the electric file to remove my previous gel… The man put in the extra effort to buffer my nail to a shiney and smooth finish before polishing. There was no half assing on their part, they even stayed 2 hrs after closing for the sake of happy customers!

VERY pleased. Visited this place today after reading the reviews on here and it was great. Did my nails literally almost perfect, fair price nothing unexpected and got me in the minute I made my appointment. I’m definitely going back.

After moving to Chico I wanted to find a nail place that I could rely on to always get a manicure, gel, or acrylic set that I was impressed by. I did my research on Unilocal and decided to try out Lucy Nails. The first few times I went, I was thoroughly impressed and made this my unofficial go-​to nail spot. They did my acrylics really well, and the gel was impressive as well. I also am very good at doing my own nails, so when I would pay for someone else to do them for me, I was satisfied with their work.
The last few times I’ve gone to Lucy nail have made me decide I will be choosing a new go-​to spot. This last time I was there, they completely rushed through my acrylics and left me with nails that were uneven and that I had to file at home myself. Then, two days after I was there, I woke up with one of my nails broken. This has NEVER happened to me before because I am not rough on my nails, and I absolutely wouldn’t expect for it to happen 2 days after I got them done. I did go back and they fixed my nail, for free, which I really appreciated. At the time though they seemed like they doubted that it just broke off and they even asked me where I had gotten my nails done which was probably embarrassing for them in hind sight.
I hope Lucy nails realizes that rushing through their customers is not the way they are going to make reliable customers who are willing to pay & tip well for an impressive service.

Worst place I’ve ever been! Tom is not only the rudest but he is lazy and sloppy. My pedicure was just as bad and when I asked them to fix it they just threw on like 3 more coats so my pedicure turned out awful too. They also take their mistakes out on the customers when they apparently forget to charge me for something 4 months ago. He would not stop talking about it and I had returned for multiple services and brought my sister. Never going back!

I have been a customer of the owners of this amazing salon for over 7 years. Tom and Vivian have always had a very clean and classy SPA and have given me the best service ever.
Each time they do a pedicure they have sterile plastic covers for the pedicure tubs that they change with every single customer and have the best enviroment to sit in. Its relaxing, clean, and you feel like a million dollars when you enter and when you leave.
I recommend this salon to all of my friends and family. I have NEVER had any toxic fumes when I have entered this gorgeous salon. And have I always felt welcome and pampered.

Before I moved to Arizona in January I was going to Lucy Nails on a weekly/​monthly bases since they opened. I’m very particular how I want my nails to look. They’ve always went above and beyond my expectations. My fills look like a new sets every time I’d leave. Tom is an amazing nail artist. Their pedicures are beyond breath taking. I’m OCD, but they put bath-​shower caps in tubs so you’ll never get a fungus. Lastly, make an appointment because you never know what the day looks like. I always did. Also, when I visit my parents next month I’m definitely making time to see them.

Walked in and almost passed out from the HEAVY toxic fumes. They had the doors closed (which means NO fresh air) and although it was cool inside, I’m sure I killed a couple hundred brain cells by simply inhaling that smell for a ½ hour. I even asked them to forgo the «massage» so I could hurry up and get the hell outta there.
Coming from LA, I’m accustomed to super competitive prices and amazing mani/​pedis. This place is definitely not worth the price they charge. $ 43 for a basic mani pedi, not including tip and the colors they have to choose from are primarily fluorescents. GAG. I’m not a teenager nor am I in college and I barf a little thinking of myself wearing fluorescent blue, green or yellow. I guess that’s primarily who they do mani/​pedis on– kids who actually like those obnoxious colors. Tip 1: Bring your own color, their selection pretty much SUCKS. Tip 2: Wear a gas mask or hazmat suit if you decide to go to this place… The smell is TOXIC.
The mani lasted 2 days and then began to chip and the pedi had bubbles in it after it dried. Additionally, my cuticles started peeling on the bottom from the shotty job they did. Sexy.
I should have done it myself I would have gotten 110% better results AND it would have lasted longer.
I noticed another Unilocaler mentioned how clean it was. What I witnessed was a plastic bag put around the bowl of the pedi tub before my pedi then, after my pedi the guy
simply took it out, shook it and put it back in his nail caddy. GROSS. Uh yeah, not so «clean». I can assure you that’s so he can use it for the next customer. Believe me, I watched and he never threw it away. Also, I was the only customer in the salon, there were 3 workers sitting around doing nothing and a lady came in to have her eyebrows waxed. They made her sit there for 15 minutes before one of the workers decided she was done shooting the sh*t w/​her coworker before they actually helped her. REALLY??? If I were that lady, I would have walked out after 5 minutes. Total BS.
The reason I ended up here was because in a time pinch, needed to get my nails done and unfortunately this place was close to where I live. It’s the first and LAST time I’ll be giving them my cash– next time I’ll let my dog give me my mani/​pedi, I’m sure I’ll be much more satisfied with the results. Tip 3: Don’t waste your money.

Lucy’s is a large, neat and clean salon. Vivian, the owner is a delight. She and her staff do a terrific job. A place I would re-​visit and recommend to friends.
