We stumbled upon this place and absolutely loved it. The music was brilliant and it felt like a real find in the middle of the city. Great fun super music fab décor and staff were friendly.

Great little dive bar. Bar tenders are cute and friendly come and see them. Sally is working today. I hung out for awhile and found out she likes younger guys and will ignore older regulars. The young punks have no money but is guess that does not matter. Changed me for a two drinks one for me a one for her BUT she had my drink with younger guys. SAD

I came here for the karaōke from DJ Beer… and I left. There wasn’t anything to keep me there, even the karaōke. Seems like most the people have yet to make the transition. i ordered a drink and the worst thing ever happened, they used a jigger. I don’t appreciate jiggers especially at dive bars. I can see this place being crazy once the regulars come back for the karaōke, but for now I don’t think I can go to this place. Its huge, they have food which is a plus, the parking is huge also. So far this place is just ok.

Hi Ball is a dichotomy and a place still trying to find itself and therefore keeps changing trying to improve in this dire economy by fixing things up one piece at a time — but no major upgrades. Nothing wrong with being stuck in the 70’s, many of us are Only real constant are Asian Bartenders, cocktails and football Sundays(you can actually bring your kid there — just realize the customers around you aren’t kid types) It’s down to one pool table, the dart board is back, the kitchen is more regularly open with some pretty good food

Always had a good time! Usually gets a good crowd going during events and has good specials. Yea, the people here might get a little rambunctious from time to time and the crowd might be a little too hipster on other days but just come here with some good friends and you’re likely have a good time.

The bar has not had an overhaul and maybe stuck in the 70’s but so is a lot of bars in Chula Vista. (The Plus) there is a Internet jukebox, there are TVs for sporting events, they serve mix drinks now, one pool table and a menu, large portions. Also very good bartenders. Just added a pool league on Thursdays, and every other Thursdays LIVEDJ. (The Negs) little dark in some places, sound system isn’t too great, looks too run down. (The Needs) Needs renovation, add another pool table, video poker games on bar or around. better bathrooms. Maybe open some more space. Also Theme some nites of the week.

This bar is in the same category as Trophy Lounge and possibly even the Star Bar. Seedy, divey and full of old dudes and Filipino Aunties. They do have their own parking lot. Thats convenient. Like Edgar said, this establishment is stuck in the 70’s.

I found this place because a couple of my friends started to organize an 80’s night. The bar is run of the mill, there are 2 pool tables and darts as well. I have heard that beer pong is also allowed but haven’t seen it. A cool place to chill if you’re from CV.
