Rene Alingog, DDS

Came for my girls’ first visit with Dr. Rene. First impression about the facility — Parents perspective: Very nice and clean. And for someone who does not like crowds, the place is not a ZOO like the other place we used to go to. Plenty of room to sit down and relax without worrying about kids running and screaming. The staff were all friendly and attentive. Dr. Rene was very friendly and personable. He took his time to explain everything and even took a few minutes to talk about his daughter’s upcoming birthday. Kids perspective: A selection of videos games, TV, books and table games for the kids while waiting. TV with headphones for kids while in the dentist chair. Both my girls gave the place, staff and Dr. Rene two thumbs up! My eldest kept saying it smelled like vanilla yogurt in there.

Update– so my child ended up having several things done, and general anesthesia was recommended because of my kid’s anxiety with dr offices and the ability to cooperate… Dr. Lee (anesthesiologist) has been doing this for over 35 years and he was awesome, and had a great sense of humor. My kid’s dentist (Dr. Pat) worked quickly and thoroughly. (A big deal when anesthesia is charged hourly!)… I was able to meet dr. Rene who happen to be in the office, and he too was very friendly.
They really value their patients and their customer service is on point. The parent is taken care of just as much as the child. You are offered a beverage while waiting and checked up on frequently. This is a fairly new practice, about 5+ years old, but the office runs very smoothly.
And yes, no complaints on their dentistry. My kid had a tooth pulled and a spacer placed, a crown put in, and I believe a few other things. I was waiting for my kid to start complaint of pain after the anesthesia wore off, but no complaints of ANY pain at all… The office also called a few hours after we left to check up on my child again.

We switched to the dentist recently and the service was so much better. The place was not crowded and the dentist took his time during the appt.

Finally found a great pediatric dentist! These guys are so friendly and the facility is clean. My kids kept commenting on how much better this place is, compared to the last one. Yay!

I’m giving 3 stars since Dr. Rene is awesome! She has this TLC for children, which I love. She makes the kids comfortable and explain the instructions to parents in the best way possible. What I did not like are the dental receptionists, what happened was my daughter suppose to have half sedated type of treatment for her crown. It was resscheduled for today instead of the 23^rd since my daughter’s already having pain. What they forgot to tell me by the phone was to not to give her anything to eat or drink. And of course, they would not admit not saying it to cover for their butt. Regardless if it was said or not, knowing that they work for young children; I believe it is a given to give parent proper instructions especially for treatments like this wherein it needed sedation and do not assume anything. Yes, they let me sign a waiver wayback September but I did not receive a copy. I was just verbally instructed then. Knowing we are busy parents, dental and medical places like this should inform us detailed instructions especially in cases like this that it was rescheduled. I strongly suggest to at least email parents a copy of a procedure prior since most schdules are done way back.

I absolutely loved my experience here. I took my 13 month old daughter here for her first visit and just like the previous poster, I was nervous. The waiting area is bright, colorful and so inviting to little ones that when I put my clingy daughter down, she had no problems getting into all the play things. The front desk staff were all very kind and cheerful and I was greeted promptly. I had filled out the initial paperwork online so I was a little annoyed when they said they couldn’t locate the forms and asked me to do them again. But what can you do? When we were called to the back we encountered the same cheerful, professional attitudes. Love it! The nurse sat me down and allowed my daughter to play and walk around freely while she ran through some informative early dental care information. Everything in the office looked clean and secure, so I wasn’t too worried about my daughter getting into anything that she shouldn’t get into.
When it came time to actually clean my daughter’s teeth, it wasn’t too bad. Tears were shed, as expected, but not bad at all. The thing that absolutely sold me on how amazing this office and staff is, is when they started cleaning my daughter’s teeth and she started to cry, I tried calming her down by singing to her… and wouldn’t you know it… the doctor and nurse sang along too! LOVED THAT!!!
I will definitely be recommending this office to everyone I know!

I took my 1.5 yr old here for his first dental visit and I absolutely loved it. Having it been my son’s first visit to the dentist, ever, and him being relatively young, I was extremely nervous.
Our morning started a little late so we arrived about 15 mins late to our scheduled appointment time. When I got there the first thing I noticed was how clean and nice the waiting room was. I usually don’t let my son play with toys in waiting rooms because they usually look really old and dirty but I had no problem letting him run around, explore, and play with the toys. This made filling out paperwork a thousand times easier than usual. It also helped that their system was electronic so rather than flipping through a packet of paperwork to fill out, I was given an iPad to input our information.
When we were called to the back, the dental assistant asked me a few questions regarding my son’s dental health, gave me some information on do’s and don’t’s and provided pictures of possible negative outcomes. She then told me what to expect when the Dr. comes in to examine my son. As soon as she left the room, it was less than 5 minutes that Dr. Alingog came back with his dental assistant. There were a few tears, which was to be expected, but the visit went smoothly and went by extremely fast.

Dr Rene is the best ever. After dealing with sooooo many bad dentists with my girls, i am so happy to have him. He is so wonderful and never tries to upsell. I adore him and his whole staff.

If 100 stars were possible, that’s what this office would get. Love the kid friendly ambiance, the staff, and our Doc, Dr Nadia and her nurse Audrey. My girls always look forward to their visits and are pampered with a free movie during their procedure, surprises after, and just the most fantastic and friendly staff. Laughing gas for today’s procedure {lol} and free coffee for mom. What else can I say? Thanks ! You guys are awesome!

Been here a few times. The service is great. I love that i can make an appointment and actually get called at my time and be taken care off. The staff is very nice and friendly. I highly recommend this pkace for any kid service.

This review is long overdue as we have just had our third encounter with this practice. Overall, as a parent I couldn’t be more excited about a quality dental care clinic that provides extraordinary care for my children. The office is super clean and kid friendly with a large waiting area and activities for kids should you need to wait for your appointment. Making the appointment and interacting with the front desk is super easy. 3 for 3 appointments now and we have never waited to be taken in. The staff is courteous and helpful. They are always smiling. During X-​rays and evaluation my kids are always comfortable and everything is explained to them while they are going through the process. Dr. Alingog is a very kid friendly doctor who takes time with the evaluation and always gives his honest opinion. My children love going to the dentist and can’t wait to see «Dr. Rene» throughout the year. We pay out of pocket for our care and this place is worth every single penny.

Considering my childhood experiences going to the dentist, I had to ensure that my children would not associate any fear that will haunt them until their adulthood. Upon doing research, I was blessed to have stumbled upon this dentistry. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Their office is equipped with tvs, games & books to entertain anxious kids.
They definitely accomodate to children. Because this was their 1^st visit, they introduced them to all the instruments they would be using in a fun and silly way, which definitely left a lasting impression on the kids. This was a great ice breaker and from that point on, every visit has been a breeze and they look forward to going every time (they love getting tokens to pick a prize after their visit)
In addition, they are great with spending time to explain to the parents, like myself, what procedures would take place, any risks or options and do not pressure you. They also have great hospitality and offer coffee or water, thats just a side note bonus.
Id be glad to recommend them to anyone! They are amazing!

What a great experience I had at this pediatric dental office in Chula vista. The staff is so warm and welcoming making my children and myself so comfortable. Putting smiles on my children face was obviously a priority because they excelled. The dentist was very informative taking time in showing me the x-​rays as well as the actual visual of my daughter’s teeth. She needs work sadly but we’ll see how they do with her the end of this month. Overall vertu Satisfied with my dental visit and overall experience.

Love love LOVE this place. I never liked going to the dentist and I was very nervous to take my daughter to just any dentist. I resaerched many places and finally came upon this place. I chose it because of Unilocal reviews of course and now I feel like I should put in my two cent too :)
This location is only bout 4 miles from my house so its a big plus! No problem finding the place and parking is always available. The facility is very clean and kids friendly. Many games to choose from, table to computer games, and books for parents and children to keep us occupied. I really really like the office setting, it’s not intimidating like when I was a kid (like the smell of medicine and sounds of drilling).
All of the staff are wonderful! Very polite, helpful and patience. I love the process that they go through when we are settled in for the procedure. They explained everything to us, and before they start on her, they would explain to her what they are going to do and why. The part that I liked the most was when they explain every tool to my daughter before they used it. I feel that that made her more comfortable knowing whats going on and not feel intimidated by all the sounds and etc.
My daughter is only 5 years old and is not scared of the dentist. She’s always asking when we are coming back after we are done. We had to come here for about 4 session due to all of her cavities.
I highly recommend this place to every parents for their children! You and your children will love this place!

The staff is friendly and caring, my kids love coming here. I’ve been coming here since they where 3 & 5 years of age. They take their time with their work and they do it well. My kid had 2 crowns put in and they did a great job. They are the best at what they do.

Amazing!!! I took my 4 year old here for her first dentist appointment and was so impressed. The staff was incredible, and Doc Alingog was super friendly and kind. He sang «Let it Go» from Frozen to my daughter to make her smile. She can’t stop talking about how she doesn’t want «sugar bugs» and she needs to brush her teeth more. I could not say enough wonderful things about this clinic.

1^st time here today and everybody was friendly and dr Rene is very nice and explained everything made sure he didn’t miss any advices. Office is very cute lots of toys to keep children busy. We’ll be coming back in 6 months and I will be updating again! So far they are great!

Our kids See Dr Nadia Balachandran there. Absolute kudos to the staff and assistants as well as Dr Nadia. As a healthcare provider myself, they hold the same high standards I hold for my staff and myself for healthcare. Highly recommend!!!

Dr. Rene Alingog and his staff are excellent. He combines professional expertise & the latest dentistry technology in a caring environment for children.
The waiting room is extremely kid-​friendly, as are the large examination rooms that are furnished with a tv, play area & extra seating for parents & siblings.
Dr. Alingog uses a Nomad hand-​held digital x-​ray that is easy to use with active kids & emits low radiation. The instant computer images speed along an appointment.
The doctor & staff are also very patient & thorough about teaching kids dental hygiene. My daughter came home looking forward to flossing her teeth.
A+ all around for the quality of dental care & patient service.

If you’re done with overcrowded express dental service this is the place for you!!! I was referred to Dr. Alingog after my teenager’s dentist moved out of state. I’m impressed with the ambiance, service, and staff. Everyone is always friendly and it’s never over crowded. I immediately referred my niece to Dr. Alingog. My niece has been terrified of dental visits since she could remember. Let’s just say she loved and didn’t want to leave the dental office. She fell in love with the dental crocodile and the inviting room was an immediate hit.
On another note, my younger children have been patients of the Super Dentist since 2007. After my visit with Dr. Alingog I realized how loud, uncomfortable, and impersonal the Super Dentist staff and office was. Had it not been for my teenage son’s dentist referring us to his office I would’ve never found this hidden treasure…
