I’ve been to many Chinese massage parlors around garden grove and Rowland heights and even China but this little gem is by far the best one I’ve gone to. I usually walk out either feeling«Meh» or in more pain that what I walked in with. I wish I remembered the name of the guy who serviced me but he was amazing! Just the right amount of pressure :) will be coming here from now on for all of my massages !!

I had no idea what to expect with feet reflexology, but it was great. I had no wait when I walked in at 8 pm. It was far more than just a foot massage. Included head/scalp, arms, feet/legs, back, etc. It was definitely deep tissue and well worth the $ 23.

For $ 23(+$ 5 tip) you can get an amazing much needed massage after a week of hard work! People here don’t mess around, as soon as you walk in they lead you straight to your massage«bed». Just a few of tips – Make sure you’re wearing shorts or pants that can be easily rolled up to the knees for a better foot massage. They will slide their hands into the neck of your shirt as well so wear a loose one. and CASHONLY.

Very good, very strong massage today from one of the guys — didn’t catch his name. But while it was very strong, he did ask me if the pressure was ok. So if you want lighter, I’m sure they can back off a bit.

I got the 1 hour foot massage for $ 23. They do your back too so its a great deal, Andy worked on me and he was great. I told him exactly what spots were bothering me and he was very attentive to my needs. I will ask for him again the next time I go.

I am always looking for a tension-relieving massage, preferably one I can get without an appointment. I’m a Massage Envy member, but in my quest for convenience, I’ve also tried about 30 different places around the county with neon«Open» signs, depending on where I am. This is among the sketchier ones, Shang Hai Foot Spa in Chula Vista. Lots of people hanging around outside this plaza — not sure for what — and a man sleeping on the sidewalk, as well as an ambulance on scene. However, at $ 60 for 90 minutes — walk-ins welcome! — it was a value. My therapist(didn’t get her name) took direction well about levels of pressure and my back feels de-knotted. I’ll visit again. Pro tip: Use The Club.

Came in here last night with my husband. Decided to upgrade and did the full body massage on the table instead of the reflexology. The room had a slight(wet towel) smell, the massage therapist name mike didn’t do an introduction before the massage, but he did a good job! he knew where I was tense and he worked on it(I’m actually sore right now, good sore that is) do some research why you get sore after a massage, before you start complaining and blame them that they injured you. I’m Def going to try the reflexology next time since I always get my massage done on the table. I think I found my massage place.

The only word that can adequately describe the time I spent here is «amazing». From the moment I walked in to the second I left I was in relaxation paradise. I almost considered doing a second session, but that would be greedy right? My friend and his wife so kindly bought me a gift certificate for an hour long body and foot massage. The massage area is separate from the waiting room so it’s calm and peaceful once you get situated on your chair. You dip your feet into a warm bucket of water and then begins the most amazing massage of your life. Your ankles, temples, scalp, cheeks, calves, shoulders, neck, chest, arms, hands, and toes will all be thanking you for days to follow after this incredible experience. The most impressive part of the entire experience was how little energy the lady massaging me was losing. It was as if she was getting stronger and more intense as the session went on. I know I’m getting pretty detailed here, but it’s important to know that every nook and cranny of your body is going to receive attention(besides the really private ones). I think I’m going to make this a monthly visit for the remainder of my time in San Diego. Who doesn’t like a massage? This one just happens to be the best of the best of massages! Trust me!

I have been here twice. The first time was awesome, very strong pressure as I asked. But today the second time was very poor after I asked him specifically that I want a strong pressure, it was a different person. He is a man but massage like an old lady. It could be that he’s tired, but he should have tell me before I paid if he can’t meet my request. Apparently in this joint you have to remember who massage you and keep that person as your favorite the next time you go here. Btw, I just remembered his name is Michael. I asked for his name before I paid. Please do not have him or you’ll be sorry.

Omg… Been here twice and it is heavenly. Today I saw Andy and he was fabulous. Very strong hands and used a lot of pressure. I called at noon and they were able to get me in 20 minutes later which is what I requested. The massage was so good I gave him a $ 15 tip on a $ 23 massage which I believe speaks for itself. Also, the«foot massage» I got basically included the entire body. CASHONLY!

I’ve been there many times & have never been told how much tip to leave. I’ve had awesome experiences with Andy. He has great technique for a deep tissue massage. It can get pretty intense but that’s when you ask any massage therapist to please ease up to your comfort level. $ 23/hour is a great deal. I recommend that when you are leaving a tip, keep in mind that they are doing us the favor of touching our aching feet. Be fair.

Today was one of those days where my body ached I needed to do something about it so naturally, I found this place on Unilocal. I went in without making an appointment first and only had to sit in the waiting room for about 20 mins(understandable) I got the $ 23 reflexology massage, which is very popular. It’s pretty much a full body massage but you leave your clothes on and the focus is relieving tension in your feet/back. When you first sit in the chair, they have you place your feet in a bucket of hot water. Mine was a little too hot, so the guy poured some cold water in it(: The massage lasted about an hour and I felt great after! They didn’t mention anything to me about a forced tip but after reading some of the previous Unilocal reviews, I decided to leave a $ 5 tip no matter what lol It was great, I feel relieved! There were 3 people working while I was there, and they all seemed pretty nice(: There is a bathroom in the back but I’m not sure if its employees only or for guests too. Oh by the way, butt massages are amazing! If you really don’t feel comfortable about it, then you should let them know. But don’t knock it till you try it!

I gave this place 1 star because a $ 10 dollar tip was expected for an hour massage. I don’t agree a tip should be expected at a certain value. A tip is to rate a service and this freedom is taken away. Whether the massage is good or bad 25% of what you pay is what they expect at the end of your massage. In that case, just change your price for the service. With that said, I will never return to this venue nor recommend any friends or family.

«Tell me all your secrets and this won’t be too painful!» Well…that was what I thought in my head, as I was getting one of those most uncomfortable massages ever. I came here, a day after running another half marathon, on a whim. Apparently that was my first mistake. The lady that greeted me appeared to be inconvenienced by this. I don’t know why. I was there at opening, on a Monday, and there was no one there and still no one there when I left. As like most reflexology massages, it comes in 3 phases. The first phase, you’re on your back getting your feet soaked and a head/face/neck/shoulder massage. The second phase is getting a massage below the knees, primarily your calves and feet. The third phase consists of you laying face down and getting a deep muscle rub. I’m usually sleeping by phase 2. But, in this case… it didn’t happen. I felt pulverized by the end of the massage. I kept thinking to myself that it’ll get better. It never did. I did attempt to tell the masseuse to ease up, but I don’t think his English skills are that great. For that matter, neither was the inconvenienced hostess. I can usually understand thick Asian accents, but communication was a bit rough. I got tired of asking the woman to repeat herself and she looked irritated because she had to. If you’re going to pay $ 23 for a reflexology massage, I say go somewhere else. Unless you got some huge masochistic tendencies… then, go on with your bad self.

I came here for the $ 23 one hour foot reflexology massage. I’ve never had this type of massage before and was pleasantly surprised that it’s pretty much a fully body massage. Past the waiting room, you enter the massage area and see several reclining leather(pleather?) massage chairs lined up. My mother and I sat next to each other and were greeted with buckets of warm water to soak our feet in. My masseur started rubbing my temples, then moved onto my face and scalp. I wish he told me he’d be touching my forehead because I have sensitive skin and break out easily. This massage didn’t do anything for me until he got to my neck and shoulders. He lightly massaged my rotator cuff muscles and rotated my arms, releasing so much tension I’ve accumulated from weight lifting. Afterwards, he removed the bucket of warm water and massaged my feet, legs, back, and thighs. This part of the massage was relaxing, though I did get ticklish when he was pounding(hand chop motion) my thighs. I can’t help but be ticklish. I think it’s odd to get a full body massage fully clothed. I didn’t remove the contents in my pocket, so when the masseur lightly applied pressure to my glutes, he really applied pressure to my wallet in my back pocket. I was impressed that I couldn’t hear other people getting their massage, even though we were in the same room. Management should turn up the volume on the soothing music they play because I’d often hear conversations going on at the front desk. Overall, this was a good massage especially for the price. I’ll come back as necessary if I don’t want to spend more money on my regular masseur.
