The sushi roll here are hands down the BEST! I love their Boston roll, shrimp lover, and jalapeño!!! The sushi master that makes the rolls is always there and knows how to craft every single roll. Every time I’ve I eat here I notice consistency with the taste and appearance of the roll. The sushi master prepares the rolls with so much care and precision. If you are looking for a fast in and out place, please go somewhere else. If you truly want to indulge great sushi and you’re not in a hurry then please stop by at this place. Patience is essence when creating masterpieces.

I think one star is even too much for what I just experienced, I ordered over the phone for pick up on my break and drove down to pick up the food only to come to find out they were closed for the next 5 min, I mean come one you shouldn’t take a phone order and not warn the person ordering thst you’ll be closed for the next 10 min or so.

My kids and I were hungry after a day of shopping at the CVMALL and were craving sushi! I have been here once before and I liked the roll I had gotten and the fact that they serve Japanese beer. Yum. So decided to bring the kiddos here for dinner on a Friday night. Very small location. Only fits maybe 15 people so we had to wait low 15 minutes to sit. I ordered the kids teriyaki plates for $ 4.99 each but came with a decent amount of food. The kids liked it. They even used the chop sticks to eat with the helping of the lil chop stick helpers which the kids enjoyed. I order edammame as an appetizer, a soporro beer and a baby salmon roll. My edammame was of course delicious, my beer was cold, and my roll was yumny. Kind of falling apart so I dunno if they used sticky rice but they should of but still very good. I enjoyed my evening and my waitress. We will be back.

I’ve been coming to this location for a few years now, and not once I have ever been disappointed. There is sooooo much I could recommend, but I took a picture of the sushi roll side of the menu so you can see how much there is to choose from. The service is good, the prices for food and drinks are ridiculously great! Overall you can’t go wrong, and the place itself isn’t that big. So if you’re in a group I recommend coming early just in case.

This place is small, next to an asian foot massage that i been to. Its definitely not the best or the worst. I got the salmon roll which comes with a mini bowl salad. They have rolls, bowl plates, drinks(sake), desserts and appetizers.

I ate here once. I ordered the beef teriyaki and a sushi roll. My sushi roll was okay at best. And my beef teriyaki came out freezing cold. It literally had coldddd beef. I asked if the beef is served that way and was told it was not so I let the lady take it and told her I didn’t want another. Not because I was being snobbish but because I had already waited 20minutes for my order and it came out cold you know? My friends still ate and they said their food was just okay. We honestly all wished we had gone next door to the tamales place. When my friends got their tab… my beef teriyaki had not been removed and so I asked our server about it and she just took the receipt back and walked away. Like I had inconvenienced her. I wouldn’t ever go back because of the service.

This place has to be the best affordable sushi in chula vista ! I had the crunchy roll with eel sauce ! My boyfriend had the Philadelphia roll(asked if they could deep fry it) sushi loco also gives you a small portion salad which is really good ! I have been coming here for 4 years straight. The sushi chef seems to be the owner. Place is kind of small. So far never had a complain about this place if you want quick affordable sushi go here ! I recommend the heavenly roll 11 $

After pissing out my butt for two days and my daughter throwing up everything but her stomach lining and missing school for two days I decided to write this review. YES, we got food poisoning. Besides the fever and the constant stomach pain, the food wasn’t bad tasting! I definitely won’t be coming back!

I don’t typically feel the need to leave a negative review on a restaurant but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth, quite literally. I ordered for pick up expecting to munch on some yummy rolls in my hotel room. I was surprised when I saw how plain and dry these rolls looked. They didn’t have any sauce or spices even though the pictures I’ve seen on Unilocal show them with sauce. There was hardly any flavor, I couldn’t even finish my food. Too bland and not worth what I paid for them. You’re better off buying a roll from 7 – 11

Adequate. One of my classmates just had to have sushi so we ended up here since it was conveniently close to our school. I say adequate because when I have sushi, I want to see some heft in the slices of fish served up. The rainbow roll I had– the slices were on the thin side compared to what I’ve had at other places. Otherwise, service was good.

Maybe it’s because I’m spoiled from some of the other Sushi establishments around San Diego… but then again, maybe not. I came here because of a recommendation from my older brother(who doesn’t go out much) and a co-worker both who gave this restaurant such high phrase… but unfortunately what I got from this restaurant was a huge disappointment/let down. First off, the service was pretty slow. It took a good while JUST for my food to get to my table. And when I got my lunch, it was a little on the smallish side. Don’t get me wrong, but if a LUNCHSPECIAL that cost a little under $ 8 dollars and the portions are pretty small, I would at least expect the meal to BLOWMEAWAY(or at least taste good) — This was not the case. There was nothing special with the salad(ice-burg lettuce with dressing,) the Miso soup was very salty, the tempura was bland, and the Sushi was average at best… nothing like the Sushi I would get from THESUSHIHOUSE or THESUSHIDELI(All 3 locations.) I was also pretty bothered with an annoying customer that walked into this restaurant. We and a few other people sitting around were constantly being bothered by him. He was asking too many questions, wanting to know everything about everyone… it was almost like an interrogation from a stranger. For such a small restaurant, I wasn’t too impressed with the Décor. Even though there are a few Asian decorations, nothing here gives me the feeling that this is a Sushi type restaurant. And don’t get me wrong, cause I know that SUSHILOCO is probably impressed with some of the past guest that have passed by this restaurant, but lose the Polaroids on the side wall… it looks very tacky. This Sushi«Hole in the Wall» restaurant is average at best and to be honest, I wasn’t too impressed with the service, décor or food that the SUSHILOCO restaurant had to offer. 2 stars!
