There is no better Gyro on the planet than the ones I get at Durum Grill. The meat is AMAZING in its seasoning and tenderness and they are VERY generous with the amount they put in their Gyro. If there is a better gyro anywhere, PLEASE tell me about it. I would love to try other menu items but the gyro is so delicious I want it every time I go there!

BESTFALAFELEVER! I was on my way to a meeting in Blue Ash and didn’t have time to sit down and eat, plus I didn’t want to have a heavy meal on my stomach during the meeting. I happened to notice this restaurant tucked away in a strip mall and stopped in to check it out. I decided on an order of falafel that I could easily eat in the car on my way to the meeting and then some baklava to eat on my way home. I was completely blown away by both the baklava and the falafel from this unassuming restaurant. The falafel is honestly the best I have ever had. I will be going back and getting some to keep in my freezer for when I have guests over to serve as an appetizer. The blend of flavors and spices used is so perfect. They aren’t greasy and they paired very well with the side of tzatziki sauce served alongside them. I can’t wait to go back and check out some more items on their menu!

If you’re in the mood for something filling(and I mean filling), durum is the place I will recommend. You can choose up to three different sandwiches(döner kebab, shawarma, and gyro) with your choice of meat(chicken, gyro, and veggie). You have the choice of getting regular toppings or custom toppings, for first timers, the gyro is what I recommend.

If you hold proper expectations of Döner Kebab, Shawarma, or any Arabic sandwiches, be ready to be disappointed. The shawarma is closer to a burrito and the owners seem confused about Greek and Turkish. Why else would they have feta cheese in a shawarma??? If you’re just looking for a quick bite to eat, the sandwich is above average, the chicken meat was pretty good, the«gyro» meat was above average(aka not dry), but the shawarma wrap(which I expected to be durum) tasted more like a tortilla and was wrapped far too lose, with far too many bites being tortilla. I will not come back here again. Would rather have chipotle.

They serve an awesome gyro! A nice surprise in the blue ash area. I usually go here several times a month and am never disappointed. Good service and good value.

Sooooo, i used to love this place. I don’t know what happened, but the chicken has transformed from a succulent, amazingly tasty nugget of deliciousness to plain old chicken. It’s seemingly a different recipe than they used before. On top of that, they raised the price on the chopped chicken salad a couple of bucks to $ 9.50, plus drinks are not included anymore. so let’s see, more expensive and not as good? no thanks. Hopefully they can get it back together.

This place used to be great. It was my go-to place for gyros. New ownership has raised prices and reduced quality. Sadly it will no longer be on my lunch rotation.

I’m a huge fan of this place. I hope they get to a new location as this one is tiny and there’s a long wait. Ordering is cumbersome, the cashiers are grouches, but the food is fantastic. They use fresh vegetables, and cook to order. Love it. Afterwards, I usually let out some fresh farts.

The doner kebabs and gyros(does anyone ever say this right?) are great. You have to get early during lunch as the line goes out the door. I felt obligated to put this under the A-OK range for a review as the staff was not friendly last time. Which is strange since I was the only one in the whole restaurant that evening(so they were not swamped). But it is worth going during your lunch hour, but nothing more.

So so good. An unexpected place in a random strip of businesses in Blue Ash but GREAT gyros. They’re huge, filled with food. The gyro meat is sliced off the rotisserie, which always indicates to me that it’s authentic and will be delicious. They then throw it on the flat top to crisp it up. You can add any toppings you want(normal tomato, feta, onion, sauce, but also banana peppers, olives, etc.). Their tzatziki sauce is the bomb. Not just yogurt with a ton of dill and cucumber. Legit tzatziki. They do charge $ 0.50 for their pop though! Used to be free, so just a heads up on that change. Still, that’s super cheap.

I’ve been here a few times before as my office is near by. Today I arrived around 12:30 and there was quite a long line. The cashier(and I believe owner) was very nice, but the rest of the employees were super quiet. I ordered the chicken durum kabab(pita filled with chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion and tzatziki sauce). Once they finally started making my lunch, I realized that I wanted to add some toppings. I asked for pickles and banana peppers to which I believe she put in 3 pickles and 2 small banana pepper pieces. I also added the hot sauce they have, which is very tasty. I was disappointed however in the oily chicken. It was not all white meat and it seemed like it was cooked in ½ a cup of oil! I know it was the lunch time rush, but I feel like a somewhat healthy lunch was not so healthy or fast today.

This place is incredible. It’s a family run business that you can really tell they have put their heart and soul in. This has to be one of the best gyros I’ve ever tasted. The meat is cut very thin and cooked/seasoned perfectly. Many other gyros I’ve had are dry or thicker cut, but this is definitely not the case. It’s seriously cooked to perfection. The ingredients are all very fresh and they are happy to customize any order you have. The portions are very large, so you definitely get your money’s worth. In addition to my gyro, I purchased their home made baklava. It was very flaky and a great rich, sweet, nutty flavor. I would highly recommend it for the few extra dollars. One thing to note is they have a fridge with pop and canned drinks. It’s ok if they don’t have a fountain, but it would be nice if they had a little more variety of drinks. I honestly can’t wait to go back and have been thinking about having it for lunch all week.

What a cool concept! First u pick your choice of meat on either a pita, shawurma sandwich or plate. Then pick whatever veggies and sauce you want with your meat. I got the gyro meat platter. Meat was crispy and nicely flavored. Will come back for more :) Gyro or shawurma samich: $ 8 Gyro plate: $ 12

You know what? That’s a darn good gyro. This place is trying to be a Chipotle-style restaurant for gyros and Greek food, and it does a decent job of that. The food is solid. The gyro probably deserves to be the best in Cincinnati, probably. There’s not a whole lot of seating in the place, so plan accordingly. As with most places in Blue Ash, this place gets slammed for lunch.

My husband was off from work this week and I had a hankering for Mediterranean food so he picked up some eats from Durum and brought them to work for me(he’s a pretty great husband!) Since I’ve never physically been there — this review is based solely on the food. We ordered both the chicken shwarma and gyro. The gyro was one of the best I’ve had in the city — the meat was well-spiced and I liked that the chunks were a little smaller than normal because it meant more crispy edges(which I enjoy). The tzatziki sauce was yummy and the gyro was piled with the delicious meat. Overall no complaints about that dish. The chicken shwarma, however, left me wishing we had ordered 2 gyros. I think the main issue with this dish was that it was wrapped in a flour tortilla(think Chipotle) rather than a pita. The meat was seasoned well, but was hardly anything to write home about. Overall I think I’d give Durum Grill 3.5 stars based on the food, but I like to round up :)

We went mid-afternoon on a Saturday and had an awesome meal – a regular gyro for me, and a doner chicken kebab for the fiancé. Both sandwiches were large and stuffed full of meat and all the works – tzatziki, lettuce, tomato and feta. Possibly also onion, I forget. The wraps were warm and fresh and just what we wanted to stuff our faces with after a day at the zoo. Incredibly filling meal for less than $ 15. Really, my only regret about this place is that the portions are SO big. I would have loved to try one of their side orders like the grape leaves or baklava, but there was no room left in my stomach! I think next time we go we’ll order one of the platters to share and a couple of the smaller dishes to sample.

Gyro Doner Kebab 10⁄10 Grape leaves weren’t really my thing. Seating is scarce and the lunch line goes out the door. Will definitely hit this place up again.

On the road again, my wife and I decided to stop somewhere a little different for lunch so we landed at this Turkish, Mediterranean, Greek place. Not bad. We both ordered gyros and they were great. The portions were heaping, the meat was tasty, and it came with a drink. The ratio of sauce to meat was spot on as well. Great little stop on our way through Cincy!

Durum Grill rocks. It’s my go-to«forgot to pack lunch» spot and has healthy, delicious, fresh food at insanely low prices. While many people are surprised it’s slow in the evening, there’s a line out the door during lunch for a reason. My recommendation is to keep it simple: Get the chicken doenner kebab for a light, portable meal that’ll fill you up and an order of grape leaves(which are delicious and seemingly homemade) if that’s not enough. You’ll still clock in under an Alexander Hamilton. If you’re REALLY hungry, check out the gyro meat platter. Shaved fresh off the spit by the friendly staff, they’ll set you up with a heaped plate of Mediterranean goodness. As others have mentioned, there’s no sure way to know how they make a profit on such good, fresh food for such a low price. I love this joint.

This restaurant is definitely worth a stop. Their gyros meat is well spiced, and if you order the gyros sandwich it comes out in a huge foil wrapper piled with meat. The baklava comes in either the standard triangle or in little tubes… I went with the tubes since I had never seen that form before, and I was not disappointed. The baklava wasn’t as sweet as all of the others I’ve had(although the baklava in triangle form is probably sweeter). The fact that it’s less sweet made it easier to enjoy the fine layers of dough… definitely worth a try. The service was excellent and they obviously care about making your eating experience special. It’s a little different because you order at the counter and then the food is brought to you at your table. When you’re finished, go back to the counter to pay. Overall, the food was excellent and the price was very reasonable.
