Average food, below average service, for a high price. We ordered an enchilada and a burrito and a bowl of beans paid $ 30+. Small portions as well, which I was not pleased with for the price. Wouldn’t reccommend.

It’s pretty hard to find awful Mexican food in the southwest, but this place will meet your expectations if «crappy» is what you seek! There are several other good Mexican restaurants within 5 miles(I.e. Cottonwood). Press on!

Ya’ know, the place is cute, clean, and homey. But, I thought the food was way too expensive for what it is, and the portions were ridiculously small. Been here twice, and the food was mediocre to good. Nothing special. Service was OK, friendly enough. My major complaint was the rice and beans, the portions. As most Mexican establishments serve you big old platters rather than regular plates, I’m used to rice and beans covering the«platters.» Here, it looked like less than Kiddie Portions! Where was the rest of it? The cheapest items were skimped on. Bummer. The bill(2 people, 2 combo plates and appetizer) came to about $ 31.00. That knocked this review from a 3 to a 2. Doubt I will go back because of this. The salsa bar was an added bonus, with a small variety of freshly made salsas to choose from.

The food here is as bland as you get. Beans were flavorless and the rice mush. The chile relleno is made with an egg roll wrapper for goodness sake not actual egg like is should be. The salsas are just tomato juice with a little spice. Nothing is actually spicy here. Our service was slow and they did not seem very well informed. This place is over priced for sub-par food. I would not go back.

We came across this place by accident and I’m so glad we did. The food was fresh and excellent. The service was very attentive. I had the Elote(Chef’s special) — bacon wrapped corn on the cob with pulled pork. Loved it. My husband had the mahi mahi tacos. Get the cucumber salsa. The food was was very savory and different from typical Mexican food faire. The price was totally reasonable. Next time I go back I’m going to try the stuffed peppers. If you’re in the area it’s worth a detour and like previous Unilocal-ers don’t be deterred by the humble exterior!

Great place for lunch after kayaking today. I hade the mushroom enchiladaS and my hubs had the steak street tacos. They were both good and the rice and beans are very tasty. Their house salsa is ok but they have a salsa bar. for those who like it hot like me they have a couple excellently spicy sauces. The pico is slightly bland. The staff is friendly and helpful. Service was very speedy too.

Great Service & delicious food. Don’t be deceived by the exterior. It looks like a biker bar, but I was pleasantly surprised by the family atmosphere upon entering. I had the shredded beef burrito with a side of pineapple salsa. I was surprised by the small amount of salsa, since it was an additional fee, but it was just the right amount for the burro. Hubby had BLT sandwich & said it was really good.
