Catfish Coffee House

Every time I come home to Lake County, Catfish is the first of my beverage priorities! The drinks are off the hook (Wild Berry desert smoothie is a fav) and it has a super artsy, comfortable vibe. It’s a great place to start the morning (natural lighting) or to catch up with friends in the afternoon. Also a prime people-​watching site. Guitar-​friendly.

EXCELLENT COFFEE & CUSTOMER SERVICE! We will definitely make this a routine stop to and from the coast!

Such a cool modern, kicked back, coffee shop in a small town.
Pull up to parking spaces under the trees or to the drive through window and your greeted by such a welcoming… everything. Starting with ample parking and patio seating then walk into an inviting family room. All kinds relaxing causal, business, library atmosphere… I was impressed. Menus are very clearly hung high about your head and baked good displayed on the counters and in cases. Sandwiches are also available.
I ordered a large, hot, dark mocha with 2 extra shots (YEAH BABY!) The young lady was very pleasant and my drink came out quickly. And yes, all espresso drinks come with a chocolate covered espresso beans… YUM!!!
I don’t know, what the heck can I find wrong with this place? Nothing, unless I point out the spider web on the super large whisk hanging from the ceiling. ;-)
If you’re ever in the area, this place is a two thumbs up!

Perfect little coffee house. The staff is always super nice. My coffees are always constantly good. The drive thru is a perfect perk for mom’s like me who don’t want to unload the kids for a coffee. The only thing I would say might need improvement is the wait time.

This place was legit!
First of all, I have never gone to a city or a town that had such nice and friendly people. EVERYONE in this county were sooooo friendly. Definitely loved that culture and atmosphere.
Anywho, I ordered a large cup of coffee and their breakfast burrito. Their breakfast burrito was SOOO TASTY! They also had 4 selections of hot coffee that were extremely yummy as well. In addition to the hot coffee, they have your other iced coffees, fraps, etc.
This place had a drive through as well, which seemed like a lot more people used than walking in. That was probably a plus for the locals and returning customers. The place had a nice ambiance to it.
Definitely coming back if I am ever in the area.

I love that this great coffeehouse has a drive thru, a lifesaver for this momma. Service is always good, we love Anna! Love my go to Iced Caramel macchiato, my LO’s love the homemade whipped cream!
Seriously, fun place to go, love having it in my favorite things to do.

Wonderful place, great atmosphere and very friendly workers. Wonderful coffee, smoothies, food and pastries. Most of which is either made when you order (sandwiches and other food) or the previous day (pastries). Free WiFi available as well.
The service may be slower than your typical Starbucks but the quality and flavor make up for it in spades. You don’t get a great view of the lake but there is a patio with tables and chairs that you can sit at and enjoy your morning coffee while you read the paper.
Parking is a bit… odd, especially when you’re leaving. You’re better off turning around as the road behind the shop is an awful unpaved dirt road. Unfortunately, the Handicap parking spaces can get blocked by drive-​thru.

I love this place. The coffee and the bagels are wonderful. The décor is perfect. The only issue is that a majority of the staff isn’t very good with customer service. Not everyone! I’ve had a couple people that are incredible. However a lot of employees will completely ignore me for almost 5minutes when I’m waiting there. No greeting, no acknowledgment what so ever. If the staff were all as friendly as the young man (who’s name I don’t remember, sorry!) they’d be 5 star!

We really wanted to like this place on our weekends in Clearlake, but that didn’t happen. The menus are confusing. the employees are younger people who really want to be on their phones not helping customers, if you can figure out what you want and find the coffee cups on your own and tolerate so so food you might like this place. I don’t mind the mandatory Unilocal 1 star because of the creative use of T post drivers in front of the store

My son and I love coming here because its its friendly, relatively cheap and the menu is awesome. Their chicken pesto panini is on point.

Sincere friendly service from the female barista. She gave us excellent recommendations.
I chose a decaf hot caramel macchiato. The taste was perfectly sweet and satisfying. I have a low threshold for hot beverages. It was served at the perfect temperature for me to drink immediately. Overall a high quality tasting version of my favorite hot beverage. Starbucks doesn’t compare.
My husband chose the hot Mayan chocolate. The taste was balanced perfectly with sweetness and hot pepper spice. Definitely for a mature palate.
The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. I felt like I was visiting at an aunt’s house.

This place was awesome. We found it whole on vacation this weekend because we were super disappointed with the coffee from the gas station. They have so many different things there and the people were super polite. I wound up having a milkshake and my husband had the salted caramel coffee.
I wish there was one closer to where I live because they were sooo good! We even went the next morning in our way out of town. I got their hot chocolate that time-​it was So creamy!

Great smoothies love the strawberry banana flavor people that work there are nice and helpful

Friendly service. Awesome menu. Good vibes. An oasis. Loved the milkshake and panini. Will definitely stop by again if in the area.

Very good lattes and Café au Laits. Prompt friendly service. There was a great selection of muffins including pumpkin chocolate chip and almond cherry. Tried the later; it was moist and delicious. They have lots of yummy sweets, bagels, and breakfast burritos. About half the price of starbucks!

Catfish is one of two decent, clean places in Clearlake… My grandparents have lived here for 35 years… Since childhood, I’ve watched this town go from a simple retirement community, to a down right dump!!!
Catfish is a rare (local) trendy coffee house, also with pretty good food, judging only from what I can tell by looking at what others are eating. Expresso is good, It’s adorably decorated, cozy corner with comfy chairs and coffee table, well kept and always clean. Menu has a fairly wide variety of food and coffee.
With ailing grandparents, my visits have been more and more frequent as my family and I clean out their house, I’m grateful for the one spot overall others I can go to with comfort.
Last but not least…
~Employee’s~ The girl with black glasses can use a bit of an attitude adjustment. It kills her to be friendly. She is more often the reason for the missing fifth star.

We could not fault this little café… Excellent selection of coffees/​teas and breakfast muffins… Panini’s etc…
My wife can’t have Gluten or Lactose so she said the smoothies were fine for her, just let them know and they will tell you whats available… They don’t have gluten free bread but they were more than happy to accommodate and use the bread we had with us to make up a ham and egg toasted sandwich
In short, a cute little place with friendly staff and aim to please… Would recommend!

Hella cute coffee house. They have good variety of drinks and food and parking was easy. The staff was nice and friendly. Never would have expected this little gem in Clear Lake.

We were up in Clearlake for a family reunion last week and I was having «fancy» coffee withdrawals. On our way into town we passed Catfish Coffee House so I grabbed my daughter and the keys and off we went. Clearlake is far from «Fancy» which makes this little place HEAVEN!
The outside is nothing fancy but I did notice a drive thru window and it was getting a lot of use by what I assume were locals. We parked our car (make sure to roll up your windows and lock the doors. Rough neighborhood here), and ventured inside. SUPER CUTE! This place would fit right in Santa Cruz or even Los Gatos as its very hip, clean, and comfortable and serves GREAT coffee. Did I mention the customer service was excellent too?! I didn’t catch her name but our cashier was incredibly friendly and had a great personality. Along with the typical drip coffee they had specialty drinks and house classics. We got:
Quad Med. Late — smelled great
Single Med. Late — Daughter said it was good
Small regular drip — Mother-​in-​law is used to Folgers so she wasn’t impressed (giggle)
Large Café Mocha — YUM!!! This was not too sweet and not to hot. Perfection and hit the spot.
The only thing I was a little bummed out about was the pastries. There weren’t many to choose from and the ones they did offer were wrapped in plastic wrap so who knows how old they were. We grabbed our coffee and stopped at the doughnut shop up the street.
Overall I would totally make this a MUST Stop if anyone’s in the area.
