Suddath Relocation Systems

I will happily edit my reveiw at a later time, for now I’m highly aggravated. For the last week, both my husband and I have been calling and leaving messages to have our items delivered. Every number I find for the company, no one answers and they all lead to the same general voicemail. I would just like to have my belongings, some very important items that no amount of money could replace!

Suddath acted as our local support for a United move.
Deb arrived at our home and was immediately very gracious in the communication troubles we experienced earlier that day (my phone was not receiving calls or texts). She still arrived within twenty minutes of our original scheduled time. Thankfully she had the foresight to have other people continue to try to contact me, and they were able to get through to me. (Sorry again Deb).
Deb took 10 minutes just to make small talk and I was immediately at ease. Her countenance gave me the peace of mind that she was fully capable at what she was set out to do, and she was no longer a stranger intruding in our home, but a qualified professional here to help me with an overwhelming task.
She was very thorough in her walk through and very quick in making her notes which kept things moving quickly. At no time during her visit did i feel she was forgetting or not seeing something that was important.
With poor planning on my part, I forgot to organize a second location (my father’s woodshop) to be surveyed. Thankfully my wife mentioned it and asked if I had set it all up to have a walk through… With a minute of planning and making sure I had keys to my dad’s house, Deb happily offerred to take a look at the second location (a few miles away) immediately.
She then put up with my putting my dad on speaker phone and verbally explaining what was in his woodshop that was being moved, and what was staying… (No one likes me trying to relay information as the middleman!)
Thank you Deb for your tremendous service and expertise in which you surveyed our house (and Dad’s shop!)… I will gladly recommend United and Suddath.

We just used Suddath for our move from MN to MD and they did a fantastic job! They were very courteous and efficient on both ends of the move. They kept us well informed during the process. I would highly recommend their service and not hesitate to use them again.

Rotten experience. I moved with them almost 3 years ago, and it still bothers me so much, I decided to find them and leave a review.
Everything started out fine: they came and gave a fair estimate, and then on moving day, they were on time, packed my belongings well. I was living in a 3^rd floor walkup rental apartment, and during the move, the movers slammed a dolly up and down the stairs, busted out the window crosspieces, and laughed about it. I ended up paying a huge portion of my deposit to pay for the damage from the movers. As part of the intake, the movers rushed through a list of «valuables.» I didn’t have anything especially valuable, so I didn’t declare anything as special. But I had just bought a printer and fax machine, and they were in the original boxes, and I saw them go on the van.
On the other end, they were almost 2 weeks late. When they finally arrived, they complained during the unloading. And the printer and fax machine were inexplicably gone. The manifest sheet was all jumbled, and there was no way to follow if everything was delivered, and the movers just mumbled to call the office when about 10 boxes on the manifest could not be identified in my things. After I unpacked everything, I called to explain that some things appeared to have been missing. The only things I could clearly identify as missing were the printer and fax. The company, instead of apologizing for MISSING items, sent me a check for less than $ 3, based on weight-​based damage. I didn’t even cash it, it was so ridiculous. When I signed up for the insurance, I was thinking about damage, not full-​out theft.
In the end, the electronics was probably worth $ 200 or so, not the end of the world. But I was more offended by the idea that a moving company would steal your things. If I saw it go on the van, and it wasn’t there when the things arrived, no one else could be responsible. And because it was only the things that were clearly marked as electronics, it was clearly deliberate. I left feeling almost violated, and definitely would not use this company again if anyone else was available.

I had an excellent experience with Suddath. They were the local agent for my Mayflower move and coordinated with my agent in California (Chipman Relocations.) My move was from Florida to San Francisco and everything arrived in perfect condition and on time. Not ONE item was scratched or broken, which is amazing for a move that is literally clear across the country. My packer (Tony) took extra care and listened when I pointed out sentimental items and took extra measures to make sure they were packed with care. He was respectful and hard working. The gentleman that helped my driver load my truck was the same — very hard working and courteous. He took excellent care as well and they didn’t even brush a wall with furniture. My driver was fabulous! (Thank you Tim!) Overall — couldn’t have been a better move. On time and nothing damaged. I would highly recommend.
