For the past two years now I go here almost every month because my best friend loves their Caldo de Rez so she drags me along. EVERYTIME they tell us to «sit anywhere» and we sit by the tv and more than half the times we are told later to move closer to the door because they are going to start cleaning. It’s so annoying and never fails! The food has never impressed me, I think I’ve tried everything by now and I don’t even have a «favorite». During lunch time the cashier lady is always super polite and friendly, when we order to pick up she always remembers to give us plenty of plastic ware and napkins. When we go for dinner the waiters aren’t very sociable and the wait is quiet long. Their horchata is ok, like not as good as fresh homemade kind but better than AMPM out of a fountain kind.

Great food with many choices! Friendly staff but at times the seem overwhelmed with the number of customers. Very good food; consistently good and tasty. The shrimp and garlic is amazing. Tacos and all those other superb dishes are very satisfying.

The food is great! The chips and salsa are an awesome appetizer to eat while I usually wait for my Carne Azada Torta with everything in it. I would love to visit more often but I’m usually not sure which waiter I’ll get. The elderly gentlemen is very nice and delivers the food very quick. Once I was served a torta with burnt bread not by the elderly gentlemen but by and elderly women and it’s been hard to return since. The cashiers in the front is very sweet and nice.

Great food, prices and service. We like having a sit down restaurant in town. Flautas California are the bomb.

Service sucks, Food not so great! If you decide to go their estimated wait time is approximately 1 hr… Beans taste like they are out of a can… Do yourself a favor and stay at home

Food is not to impressive the wait is always long my husband and I had to wait over 20 min to get our beers and the food took another 45 the old place was better in my opinion. We have tried to give this place a chance but every time it’s the same outcome always disappointed when we leave

This is one of those times I cannot believe how different reviewers feel about food. This food was not good. The sauce on the rellenos was tomato sauce with a few onions. The Chile Verde was pork with green sauce, no tomatillos in evidence. The service was lacking. I would not recommend driving off the 5 to eat here. Skip it.

Outstanding customer service if I could give them 100⁄100 I would only place that makes a Cali style burrito. The best overall will tell friends and family that visit

I ate here on 5÷29÷15… I grew up in Coalinga and used to eat at the other restaurant they owned that was by the bakery. I don’t come into town that often(I live in Fresno now) but I came to see my parents and they decided to take me out to dinner and we came here. Everything was fine until the end of my meal at which time I happened to take a bite of my beans and CRUNCH, I bit a ROCK! At first I thought it was a really hard bean, but after further investigation, it was a rock. I let my waitress know that I had found a rock in my food and she apologized. I have lived in Fresno for a while now and have had things like this happen to me at restaurants so I assumed they would comp my meal as an apology, but no I still ended up paying for the food, even though I found a rock in it. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all and I will not be returning.

This place is very inviting. All staff is very kind and never leave you with an empty glass on the table, they will refill before you ask. They always ask if the meal is good and if they can bring you anything else. The food is soo delicious. The sauces over enchiladas or burritos are so rich with flavor. The Caldo de Res soup is the best I’ve had. They cook food very well, you can trust that anything you order will be made delicious. The portions are large for the price. It gets pretty busy in the evenings so plan ahead.

The food is fine, however their rice and beans portions on combination plates are small. DONOT pay for one of their deals on . I did and they will not honor them. If you want Mexican food with bigger portions and better flavor, I recommend Reyna’s in Lemoore or La Fiesta in Hanford.

Had the Chicken Wet Burrito with Chile Verde sauce. Ordered for pickup. Hope they get delivery soon. Pretty darn good and the best we’ve had in Coalinga by far. Guacamole was the bomb.

It took about 40 minutes for my food to come out. However, the service was great otherwise. I think they asked me about 10 times how I was doing, if there was anything I needed, etc. One of the waiters even offered to move me to a booth after one became free. I declined though, a table was fine. I ordered a Carne asada chimichanga dinner plate, a water, and some horchata. The horchata was delicious. I was really craving it. The chimichanga was fresh and crispy. The carne asada didn’t really have a lot of flavor or anything though. The rice was nice and tasty. I’m thinking chicken might have been a better choice. I’d recommend this place for sure though. If you aren’t in a hurry and want some quality Mexican food in this area, this is the place for you.

Have to say this place surprised me, started out with generic flavorless cold chips and ended with a delicious meal. Asada was cooked well albeit thin, beans and rice tasted fresh not reheated, and fresh made TORTILLAS! Hand made, fluffy, delicious tortillas, soo good. Service was decent, price was average, beer was cold and reasonably priced, but the tortillas make this place a definite return trip.

They have truely evolved into a first class Mexican food eatery. There are none better. Chili Rellenos made with Pasilla Chilies, and covered with delicious sauce and cheese. Guacamole is fresh and goes well with chips. Love this place

My husband and I enjoy frequenting this restaurant, the service is fast and friendly, we weren’t even out of chips when our plates came! Their chimichangas are enormous and so delicious! Our server, Gaby was a joy, very smily and helpful– she brought us extra everything! I LOVETHISPLACE– I would move in if they let me

Nice little place. We are on the road riding this years manride and needed a place for lunch. Asked at a gas station about someplace good. They recommended this place. Decent food. I got a beef taco and chili rellano with rice and beans. The taco was a fresh tortilla fried up to make it a crispy shell. It had a good flavor but the tortilla was a bit over cooked. The rellano had a good flavor with a lot of cheese and the normal egg coating. The sauce could use a bit of flavor but was still good. The beans had a good flavor but the rice was rather bland. Over all a nice find.

My husband and I love both El Mariscos 2000 and now their new location, Los Reyes, open just a week or so. Good place for a leisurely paced lunch or dinner. Don’t go if you’re in a hurry. They’re a short on parking spaces, so you might have to park a block away and walk. They’re always crowded with locals. But the food is always fresh and delicious. Always. You must ask for the check or they will never bring it. Maybe its a Mexican thing, they don’t want to hurry you. Everything I’ve had there is fantastic: Chili verde tostada, Tostada Compuesta(salad bowl tostada), Chili Rellenos, Fillete de Aho(Fish with garlic), Enchilada… all heavenly. Wait staff is cheerful even if a bit over-worked. Everything looks very clean to me. The outside patio is very pleasant now since the weather isn’t too hot yet. They say their old location, El Mariscos, will eventually only serve fast food like tacos and burritos.
