I took a class there last week while in town for work. I was looking for a Bikram Yoga studio but didn’t find one close enough to where I was at, and with class offerings that fit my schedule for the day. I found this studio via Unilocal and was very happy that I did! I am a Bikram Yoga certified teacher and when I travel I like to practice whenever possible. I took a 6:30AM class last Friday with Kristin and was great! She taught a Bikram Yoga class with great dialog. This may not matter to all, but it does matter to me. I’ve taken classes at other studios claiming they teach Bikram classes, but not all do. This studio is clean and inviting. Next time I am in town I will come back to practice here.

This is a fantastic yoga studio with the most pleasant, experienced instructors in the area. It is a new, lovely space that is wonderful to practice in. I always look forward to going. They offer a variety of styles, including Bikram for those who like it hot, and Barkan for those whom prefer a warm flow. You’ll find all the props you need there, as well as a clean, spacious changing room with showers. Classes are offered at a wide range of times, morning and night, and monthly specials and student rates make regular attendance affordable.

I am SO excited that they have just opened HYS Latham, as it shaves off about 50 miles from my commute! The new practice space is a bit smaller and has wood floors instead of the antimicrobial carpet, but it’s just as nice. The locker rooms are large and there are two showers. There is also a clothing boutique, vending machine with water and gatorade, and coconut water for sale. You can rent or purchase mats and towels here as well. They offer 3 – 4 classes per day and are open 7 days a week. Many of the instructors are the same as those who teach at the Saratoga studio, and Cindy(the owner HYS and OYS) has been present every day I’ve gone since they opened one week ago. Since the studio is new the classes are pretty small right now, which has been really nice(anyone who has been to HYS knows how crowded Monday night Bikram can be!). Right now most of the classes are 90 minute hot vinyasa based or bikram, although there is a shorter warm class on Saturdays for those to are new to the heat or want something less intense. If you are new to HYS the you should know that when the class is described as being 90 or 95 degrees, they really mean it. The heat and the humidity are right on, and if anything are occasionally a little warmer than advertised(depending on the number of bodies in the room). You will get a serious workout and stretch at HYS. I hope that they add a later class, as the latest class they offer right now is at 6:30 or 5:30 and that can sometimes be difficult to get to after work. I would love if they offered an evening candlelight class once a week. I had some trouble finding it the first day since there is not yet a large sign, just a small one in the window. The studio is on the side of the complex that is close to Karavali restaurant.
