My friends and I came here from out of town recently and it was probably the worst experience of my life. We had gone to another restaurant earlier but the wait was an hour so we decided to see where else we could sit outside and have mimosas before it was noon. We called Bön tons, the person answering was very nice and told us to come down, we told them there would be 4 of us and they promised they could accommodate it without too long of a wait. When we got there however, the staff we went up to and asked about a table were very rude and told us they don’t take reservations and we’d have to wait so we just waited. The wait was only 15 minutes which wasn’t bad but when we finally got sat down we weren’t given menus, utensils or anything for about 15 minutes. When we finally got the menus(from the bus boy) the waitress wasn’t around for 25 minutes to introduce herself or take our drink orders. When she got there, she was fast and to the point and didn’t smile or introduce herself. We ordered four waters and four mimosas. 20 more minutes go by before she comes back with the drinks and when she does she spilled one of the mimosas all over my friend and I and didn’t bother to refill the drink or offer an apology. She asked what we wanted, we all ordered and we waited 45 minutes before our food came out. Not once did she come by to check on us, reassure us or apologize for the wait. Three tables had sat down around us and ate, paid and left before we even got our food and they all had the same waitress. My table ordered an omelette, a quesadilla, bacon and eggs and eggs Benedict. When we got our food it was cold, the waitress dropped it off at the table and left. Never came back to check on us until our food was gone 30 minutes later and when she did we asked to speak to a manager and then she became concerned and asked us if everything was okay. We waited another 20 minutes for the manager to come over and when she did she told us that it’s just«what happens here when we’re busy» and offered to replace ONE of our plates for being cold AFTERTHEFOODWASALLGONE. We refused, as we weren’t wanting any more food. She told us she would be in charge of us from then on and then cleared our plates. She didn’t come back to the table for 25 more minutes and when she did she brought back our checks spilt up but not itemized; between four people who ordered simple things our bill came out to $ 120. We then waited another 20 minutes for her to come back so we could get an itemized receipt but she never did. At this point we were beyond furious so we left money on the table and left. We didn’t leave the whole bill, and we were aware of that. We decided we paid for the service we received. Later that night we all received a threatening message from the owner on Facebook claiming they were going to press charges and call the police because they believed our shorted check was«intended». We paid the tab off the next day not wanting to deal with this but I have never received more terrible service in my entire life. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The food was good and the place itself has a nice feel to it but the people who work there make it horrendous and exceptionally unpleasant.

Charming and the best breakfast in the Springs. Get there early, as they fill up quickly on the weekends, and you can’t beat the out door patio space.

This is the best breakfast/brunch spot in both Old Colorado City and in Colorado Springs. I would even make the trip down from Breckenridge or Keystone if you’re in the market for a great brunch! BonTon’s has been a go-to spot for me and my friends and family any time we visit the Springs over the last 6 years, and they never fail to impress. I love the Skillets… any of their 8 options will do. They’ll make allergy/dietary accommodations and have plenty of options to choose from. The coffee is just OK but is a lot better than most home brews in the area if you’re tired of the Starbucks routine. A must-visit!

Bön Tons is the Champion of breakfast joints and is one of my favorite places to go. I try to bring friends from out of town here whenever I can. The staff is always extremely kind and friendly, and a special shout out to our server Cassie who sets a high standard for service. Omelets, biscuits and French toast are all their specialties, but my favorite thing about Bön Tons is their bacon. It is always cooked to a thick and proportionate perfection and I don’t even care what the charge is, I’ll always order extra bacon. I will definitely be coming here as often as I can before moving to a different city.

Usually get Bön Tons as take out for work since the office is only 5 mins away. Actually I’m not sure I’ve EVER sat down there for a meal, so my review is pretty much only on the take out service. I’m not overly impressed with the price to portion ratio. The food is good, and it is a staple restaurant in the historic district so that explains some of the higher pricing. And they serve alcohol– not so common to be able to get a real drink with your French Toast these days… Of course vodka isn’t on the to-go menu. The specials are usually the best bet, and for the holidays they are offering pumpkin stuffed French Toast and pumpkin pancakes so if you are a white girl, or taking a white girl out to eat, you’re in luck! They have outdoor seating but I’d recommend you take advantage of it from May– October to avoid a «Christmas Story» style incident. Nothing like a picture of a spoon frozen to your tongue going viral to make your boss decide to dig through your social media profiles looking for a reason to not give you a raise at your next review…

This was our first time here, it was awesome. The pumpkin pancakes were delicious and even had real pumpkin in them. We sat outside next to the fountain, loved the whole ambiance of the place. Our server Becca was very nice and had a great personality, something servers seem to be missing today. Totally recommend this place, and after you can hang out and shop!

The Krabby cake Benny is the best breakfast meal I’ve had in a long time! Very laid back setting and awesome view of the mountains. Friendly service and fair prices, I’m from out of town but will definitely stop here every time I visit

Very good. Had the stuffed french toast and it was divine. Also have had the bacon and eggs with the home fries. Very good bacon. Love Applewood bacon. Very homey feeling inside the restaurant and very relaxing feeling eating out on the patio

Great outdoor dining experience on a great summer day. Impressed by the variety on the menu. Food is a little pricy, but obviously caters to the tourists, however worth the price. Would come back. Be sure to sit outside. Update, wife just came back from restroom and said it was gross.

If you’re a red-blooded, brunch-loving, oxygen-breathing human such as me and my cohorts and have never been to Bön Ton’s, you will want to do yourself and your tastebuds a flavor and stop by when you are in their neighborhood. Why? You want REASONS?! Fine. 1. Cute and gorgeous outdoor patio dining area 2. Clean and maintained seats and tables, properly adorned with any accessories and condiments you’ll need to fully enjoy your fare 3. Individually umbrella’d tables to protect you against elements from above 4. Delicious food served up plentiful and hot, made to order 5. Flavors that are tantalizingly sweet/savory, all across their menu 6. Prompt and friendly service that’ll leave you feeling like a regular 7. If you’re still reading this to find some convincing to try them, maybe you need to just go to the Arby’s or McDonalds down the street. Seriously… for the rest of society that has a job, accepts responsibility, and enjoys food, this place is what every brunchy establishment should strive to be. Great ambience, awesome fare, super friendly service, and very fair pricing. From the crab cake benny to tamale breakfast, flavors were spot on for our group. We ate here four times of our week long stay, and these guys are all Waffle House addicts so that accounts for something! WARNING– parking can be hasslesome, so bring a few quarters and a pocketful of patience lol!(You think thats bad, try finding parking in Newport proper in the middle of summer…) Please, please PLEASE… go give Bön Ton’s a try and keep going back. I have to find creative ways to ensure they’re still there next year when we head back to the mountain again LOL! Many mahalos for reading!

We went on a Sunday morning and the wait was about 15 minutes. We sat outside and the atmosphere was nice. It is right on the corner of an older town area of Colorado Springs. It was peaceful and relaxing. I got the Eggs Florentine with hash browns. It was good, but nothing fantastic. It lacked seasoning and was rather bland. You do get a lot of food with each meal. I probably could of split it with someone else, as we all had leftover food. Service was good too. This is a neat, one of a kind place and I prefer these over chain restaurants any day of the week. Would I eat there again? Sure, but I probably wouldn’t go extensively out of my way.

Full disclosure — Colorado Springs is a dead town for foodies so I have low expectations to start with as a New Yorker in exile. Bön Ton’s greets you with the awkward mandatory ID check regardless of age, which I find highly off putting. I am 50 and my friend just turned 70. Clearly neither one of us is currently guilty of being 19 and trying to sneak into a club but that’s how we were treated. «Owners policy» we were told by our server. Sitting on the patio for lunch, I quickly noticed the surveillance cameras everywhere and was a bit creeped out. On the menu, it being a warm late June afternoon, my mind wandered to beer. They had Paulaner which was impressive. 3 drink limit which was unimpressive. So if the ID check wasn’t demeaning enough, little boy you can only have 3 beers! I ordered the Southwest Chicken wrap with cole slaw. The chicken had good flavor but dry and predictably overcooked. The cole slaw was not creamy but in some vinegar mess for which I was not forewarned. 1 star. I’ll never be back. I’ll let the unwary tourists and locals who don’t understand food support this place.

Only open for breakfast & lunch. We showed up on the day of the Pike’s Peak Hike, so crowded, with overworked, but still-friendly staff. Table had a trace of stickiness on it so had not been wiped properly. They scrubbed when i pointed it out. I chalk it up to the crowds. Ordered Bear Cake for the 5 year old. I got divorced eggs with corned beef hash for my meat. They warned me it would be more expensive than a normal side. Son got eggs florentine & mi esposa got ½ order egg benedict & a hot cider. Had lots of questions to answer after ordering — hash browns or home fries? Tortillas or toast? Howdya want yer eggs? I’m glad for the choices, so no objection. Hollandaise sauce not«lemony» enough for son & wife but they cleaned their plates so guess they liked it. My hash came from a can, but toasted ok. The green chili was weird — probably the difference between Texas(me) & Colorado(they). Red chili was actually meat-and-bean chili. Good home fries & hash browns. Overall a fine experience. No parking. Cost $ 75 with tip for 4 adults & two kids.

Great lunch spot. Was super busy but the service was fast and friendly. We ate outside, and it was lovely. Dogs are allowed to accompany you in the outdoor area. They have vegetarian offerings on the menu. Overall: the lunch menu is fairly standard but has variety in the event you’re trying to please a group.

Bön Tons knows how to make a killer green chili New Mexico style! Wowowowowowowowowowowow! Service is always on point and extremely friendly. Seems like they don’t have a huge staff turnover which always makes for a better experience! No wonder they are so successful and I wish them many many more years! Thanks Bön Tons for cooking like home!

Well, I suppose some people enjoy paying $ 9 for a small bowl of sliced fruit… I really don’t know what else to say. Denny’s breakfast for 4 times the price. But they have fancy menus that look like little newspapers! OMG! lol

After some hard work put into doing the Incline, Bön Ton’s a great café with amazing service and even better food. Me and my GF had Chicken Fried Steak and the Krabby Cake Benedict. Props to both… food was done well and also delivered quickly despite the business of the place. Today they had butterscotch pancakes which I definitely thought hard about ordering. Stop on in and fill yourself up!

Although some of the reviews say it’s overpriced, I didn’t think so. Coming from the Bay Area, these are pretty standard prices. I got a club sandwich and it was very fresh — with delicious bacon and yummy fries. My husband got a Bot Ton Gourmet open face egg sandwich and liked it as well. Dogs are welcome on the big patio, which is great. They even brought an ice water bawl for our pup. Overall, a good experience.
