Penzeys

Besides the sh**show of the parking lot, coming here was a pretty nice experience! I love Penzeys for their coupons they email you, if I can get a jar of spices for free, bring it on! I was down in the Springs and had to stop here for a bridal shower gift. With that, use my free coupon! Staff was nice and pointed me in the right direction of what I was looking for. All in all, very pleasant location.

I love this place. I have one of their awesome «Love people, cook them tasty food» bumper stickers on my car and I so resonate with this philosophy of Penzeys. Their catalogs are fantastic and include recipes and great ideas– you can sign up for the catalogs in their store and they will give you one with a purchase. I had never been to an actual store (just ordering from their catalog in the past) until a month or so ago and it’s so fun to walk in to the big store with all their cool displays. You can smell most of the spices to get a sense of them, some come with recipe cards (for the others just take a catalog and use that for ideas and recipes that go with your purchases). They also have a fantastic gift selection in the back and have special themed boxes made up of different ideas and for different occasions, in a wide range of prices. You can make your own up too. I love the baking section in the back with all the different kinds of cinnamon and vanilla– yum.
The people working are great– my favorite is Cherry. She is very down to earth and friendly and has great ideas for what to use each spice for. She’s the one who told me to try vanilla sugar on my strawberries– wow– life changing! :)
You really need to visit this store. It’s really fun and the spices are great quality and affordable too (with different size containers of each thing). It’s a great place to buy unique and totally useful gifts for people. Have fun and say hi to Cherry! :)

I am a spice and sauce connoisseur, so this store was like stepping into a sacred space for me. Huge selection of spices– very fresh and reasonably priced. I really liked their spice blends. I use the bangkok, and the turkish spice blends to jazz up hummus, eggs, dishes, pretty much whatever– really good.
The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Huge fan.
