Not the worst or the best hotel I have been in! Nonsmoking room smelled like stale smoke! The evening front desk staff was nice! The daytime front staff that was also preparing the breakfast never smiled or spoke! The manager was nice! I don’t think I would stay there again but it was ok for a 1 night stay

Upon arriving, my boyfriend and I parked and saw 2 employees standing outside talking amongst themselves. Once we got inside to check in, no one was at the front desk to greet us. We waited a couple minutes and turns out the 2 employees that were outside came in, walked behind the desk and without a greet or a welcome just asked if we had a reservation, card, and last name with a bored, nonchalant tone with no hospitality. The other man told us we have the last room but the shower was covered in mold that he has cleaned himself prior to our arrival. We had the room booked 3 months prior! How could it be that last minute? He offered to reduce the price of our 2 night stay by only $ 20 which was the best he could do. We asked to see the room and the top of the shower was covered in black and green and white mold, which can actually turn into a serious health problem later. Then we noticed that the single king room we booked was a double with 2 beds! At that point we definitely refused to stay. Clearly others had an issue with the room too and had to be upgraded so we got the shaft and were the last to either take the room or go. Even tho we booked in advanced and were assured our single room after confirmation. So we left! Worst customer satisfaction for any hotel I’ve ever stayed and absolutely no remorse from the negligent staff. Ruined our trip from Atlanta to attend a friend’s wedding since we had to find another hotel that ended up being another 12 miles away from where we needed to be so we couldn’t do anything but stay in our hotel. Will never return and will not recommend

My girlfriend and I booked a king bed non-smoking room over the weekend for a friend’s wedding. After the long drive from Atlanta, we landed at the Baymont Columbia in the early evening. Gotta start with the joke of a customer welcoming. There was no introduction. No «good afternoon how are you all». The two«gents» waiting outside that we passed without a simple hello turned out to be the two employees working the front desk. The younger fella came in and did our initial check in. Next, and I can’t make this up, the old guy chimes in asking if we’re ok if our bathroom has some mold. Silly me thinking this cat was making an attempt at humor. I tell him that mold in our room is disgusting and a health hazard for us and anyone staying in there in the future. He gives us a generous 10% discount and can do no better than that. Also no chance of changing us to a different room because they’re fully booked. Not knowing the area and our other hotel options, we walk with him to check out the room. Yes, there’s mold on the walls and ceiling above the bathtub. You can still smell the 409 cleaner he used to drench the sewer-like bathroom. His honesty was appreciated, but the gall to even offer us a moldy room at $ 79 a night is pitiful. Can’t wait for our continental breakfast in the morning featuring green bread and stale Kellogg’s! We had him give us privacy to discuss the situation. In that moment we realized our KING bed reservation was actually a double bed. We met him back at the front desk and he said if we made an online reservation there was no guarantee what kind of room we would have. Sweet system ya got there Baymont. Really lends towards customer retention. Without hesitation we picked u our gear and left for another hotel. In the few minutes we spent in the Baymont Columbia the only impression we left with was one of poor standards, disregard of customer well-being, and inability to accommodate when being the ones at pure fault. Fast forward an hour later and we settled on the Super 8 Motel several minutes out of town. Will never be attempting a stay at Baymont again.

My husband and I had the WORST experience here. My mother reserved a suite for him and I for our WEDDINGNIGHT. We get there after the wedding, I am still in my WEDDINGDRESS standing in the lobby for at least an hour. Why? Because we get there and try to check in. The horrible lady at the front desk tells us they’re overbooked and do not have a suite for us, instead they were going to give us two rooms that were conjoined. Two rooms?! Why the heck would a couple need two rooms on their wedding night?! The front desk was very rude. She was very sarcastic and rolled her eyes and blamed everything on her manager. I called my mom while standing in the lobby in my dress and my father called the hotel, trying to figure out the situation. She refused to call any other hotels. She refused to call her manager because she claims she was asleep(it was 8:00pm). Anyways, we decided to take the small room because we were very tired. My mother them went to the hotel the next morning and spoke with the manager. The manager then apologized and said that front desk lady was probably drunk. Wow. And told my mom she’d get a full refund on the mail. Still have yet to see that. So, don’t stay here. Worst service, the room was tiny and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, and apparently they overbook because they work while intoxicated.

Excellent customer service. The room was super clean and comfy and smelled really nice. Kudos to Guest Services and Housekeeping. Breakfast was good. Make sure to use a coupon from one of the hotel coupon books, you’ll save some money.

Great customer service! I was in a jam and needed a jump in the middle of the night and the nighttime attendant helped me out! He didn’t have to help, but he did without hesitation! I’d recommend!
