I’ve always enjoyed the food at the downtown MoJoe lounge/Cup O Joe. And I’ll get to that in a minute. But what draws me, especially for lunch in the winter time are the massive windows and ample natural light. When the sky is dark both coming and going to work, you need some sunshine in your day. And this is the place to go to get it. The menu has gone through a variety of revisions over the years, but there have always been a few consistent features. They include a reliable burger and well-prepared chicken tenders. Even these things have changed in their preparation, but they’re usually quite good. Certainly the current versions are. The other sandwiches on the current menu are tasty and should provide an option for most people, whatever your tastes. There is almost always a daily special, often(always?) at the $ 5 price point. The only downside is that service is sometimes inconsistent. Even when friendly, it as frequently been slow and inattentive.

MoJoe Lounge is one happenin’ little place! Clearly a favorite for professionals and appears to be a great place to hang out and work. My two co-workers and I popped in after a meeting downtown. It was around 12:30, peak lunch time, so it was b-u-s-y. We waited a bit(10 minutes or so) before they suggested we sit at the bar, which was fine. I got to catch up on an episode of Chopped on the bar TV. :) Service was prompt and friendly. The menu has a good mix — salads, sandwiches, soups and burgers. Plenty of options but small enough to make a quick decision. I ordered the quinoa and chicken chopped salad and practically inhaled it. The dressing was divine but they were a bit heavy-handed. Luncher beware — the dressing and onion WILL give you monster breath! Keep that in mind if you’re going back to work. Your co-workers will thank you.

Lunch special today is grilled cheese and house made tortilla chips. I was informed that I would have to pay extra for any kind of salsa for the chips. Who eats dry tortilla chips?

The wait for a lunch to go order took SO long… SO long… I’m surprised I’m not still waiting while writing this review. It’s a business-professional-chic lunch hang out spot and a trendy place to pic up your coffee. I’m not a downtowner, but I can imagine the working girls click clacking in with their heels every morning to get their lattes. I ordered the lemon-pepper(?) salad, which was pretty tasty, but the infinite carrot ribbons were overkill. The outdoor patio looked nice and I suppose I’d try ordering in the restaurant if I’m ever in that part of town again… just hope the wait for dine-in isn’t as long as carryout…

Ummmmmm, what happened to all the food options!!! Stopped by for a HH and realized that currently, the menu consists of ten items! And the website doesn’t reflect these new items. But, had the loaded fries which are amaaaa – zing. Also, my bartender was a sweetheart.

Mojoe Lounge is great for breakfast, lunch, and after work drinks. Typically, I have the breakfast biscuit sandwich with bacon in the morning. The biscuits are made fresh there and are delicious! For lunch, the chicken fontina sandwich with sweet potato fries is my go-to. This is a great happy hour spot if you’re trying to avoid the crowd. You can’t beat a draft for $ 2 – 4. During the warmer times, I enjoy a beer and a bowl of fries on the patio. It’s in a prime location and has the best staff. Delo and Rebecca are extremely friendly; they make the experience ten times better.

I think the people who thought this was closed were confusing it with the Short North location, which did shut down in October. But this is the Downtown one, and it’s still very much open. The Cup o’ Joe side of this location is to go only. The Mojoe side is, of course, table service. There are, however, two couches and a fireplace, and if you want the standard coffeehouse feel, you can attain it, as long as you don’t mind having a server who should be tipped appropriately. Although it would be nice if there were a couple of tables over by the takeout counter for a more casual visit, I understand why there aren’t. I’ve had lunch here a couple of times, and there was a marked improvement in the inclusiveness in the menu between the two visits. The first was a year or two ago. I thought ordering a hummus sandwich would suit my dairy-free preference, but to my surprise there was feta cheese *in* the hummus. Fortunately, the menu is more clear on what is or isn’t in the food these days. For my more recent lunch, I had a superfood salad with ahi tuna(you can also get it with tofu). It was just amazing. Greens, quinoa, your chosen protein, and all sorts of other little yummies. Afterward, I asked if I could take my tea to one of the couches and stick around a while. They were perfectly fine with that. I don’t think there are any outlets over there, but the wifi is fine. Beautiful fire, really nice view onto High St. If you have time to hang out and relax, it’s a bit of a Downtown oasis.

One of the best spots downtown Columbus for a quick, good, inexpensive sit down lunch. I always have business lunches here and it never fails to impress.

I’m not sure why people are reporting that this location has closed because it is definitely still open — I went this morning :) Great coffee and staff. They do get quite busy around 9, but the lines moves quickly and the food and drinks are worth the wait.

Closed, closed, closed. There’s a notice on the door that it’s been closed since mid-October 2014. Bexley location is also closed, for the record.

I’m diggin’ it. Nothing here is spectacular, although they’ve got it all! Coffee, beer, lunch, breakfast pastries. They do it all well, so it’s great having this near my office

If you like incredibly slow service, watching 2 – 3 workers stand around watching you wait in line, and a surly, unapologetic attitude from the staff, then this is the place for you!

It’s a cup of joes with a bar and good food. I had a humans sandwich that was dele ions during the Lenten season. It is a good option for lunch. They also have a good selection of coffees. Alternative to Starbucks

Happy hour spot without the crowd, I’m there! Add in a basket of delicious $ 3 fries and we are winning all around! The happy hour specials are nice. $ 2 PBRs… need I say more? I can’t speak to the coffee or other food, but happy hour has my vote!

This is my go-to coffee shop date location on any given day. It’s professional and modern looking with a nice location next to the commons and parking. The customer service is spot on and helpful. And really, the food isn’t too shabby either, though I don’t often order from here. My great love for this place though is the lounge. Mojo Lounge is comfortable, modern, cozy, and had free wifi. Awesome! It really is the best coffee shop around as far as lounging, and I’ll certainly be stopping by again.

I’m the current Duchess of Cup O Joe/MoJoe? Shut up! I guess when you offer delicious coffee, a convenient location, free wifi, cozy interior, a decent menu and a nice view … people want to come back! In the last two weeks I probably stopped in here at least four times whether for a meeting, a happy hour meetup or just to sit and get some work done for a few. Not always have the hours been consistent, or the menu for that matter, but these things happen when you open a new space. They’ve been open for quite a few months now but I still consider them fairly new. Having been to many of the other Columbus COJ locations, this one is very similar, just a lot«newer» of course. A bit more modern & clean… and still working out some of the logistical kinks and menu offerings. I recently tried the goat cheese-stuffed empanadas(at least I think that’s what they were) and also their newest menu addition(to the Cup O’ Joe side anyway) the quiche. Both were pretty tasty and hit the spot for a quick breakfast and lunch snack. You’ll always see a mix of loyal patrons in and out of here too. Everyone from the local cyclist making a pit stop, to the lawyer, to me — the no-office nomad. A great downtown destination for local java!

It’s a beautiful coffee shop with a great view of High Street and the new park. I’ll be looking forward to having some frozen mocha joes after a hot summer concert at the commons. I find the staff to be quite friendly on every visit I’ve made. They could use some better evening hours, but it’s a mixed bag with any downtown location(downtown is usually a ghost town after 6pm and on the weekends). I’m sure they’ll start to extend their hours once demand picks up.

Thank goodness this is here! I could barely stand the wait for this location to open, as there is not much in the way of coffee on my end of Capital Square unless I want to wait through the line at Market 65. This location is definitely going to become my all-purpose stop for breakfast, lunch, coffee, and happy hour. It’s still new, so every time I come in there’s some sort of change: customer service protocols, artwork, menu items. It’s like Hidden Pictures, except for Unilocalers on the lookout for review content. The fix-yer-coffee-and-get-a-lid area is kind of hidden, around a little nook from the main counter. It’s there, though. Today for lunch I had a quinoa and mushroom stuffed pepper with mint-and-honey dressed fruit salad. It was pretty incredible. A tad overpriced, perhaps, but I also noticed they had a seared Ahi Tuna salad for only a dollar more than my stuffed pepper. My culinary sensibilities are confused by this math, but I’ll take it. For something fresh and flavorful(and no lines, besides), I’m doing okay for $ 9 downtown. The staff seems to still be working out some kinks. There’s been service trouble for the morning brew, but disorganization seems to be the culprit and not something worse, like rudeness. Clearly the lunch crowd hasn’t picked up on the quality of fare here… yet. I selfishly hope the secret doesn’t get out, but on the other hand I want this place to stick around for as long as I’m working downtown.
