The service was horrible. When we checked in we told the office clerk we wanted two adjoining rooms and he was obviously confused and thought we meant rooms with a connecting door. He told us they didn’t have any. I then proceeded to try to explain to the clerk that we simply wanted rooms side by side, but it was too late. Due to the language barrier he kept insisting they had no room. s like that. We gave up and took our keys. When we checked in there was only ¼ of a roll of toilet so the 2nd night I went to the office and asked for a roll. That man working the office did not say a word. He walked into a storage room, grabbed a roll and handed it to me. When I said, «Thank you.» he turned and walked away without a word The exterior and hallways are in desperate need of repair. The only reason I give them 3 stars is that the rooms were clean, comfortable and came with a refrigerator and a microwave.

My stay here was wonderful! Rooms were clean, free wifi, free breakfast from 6? am-10am; King size bed in all single rooms, mini fridge, microwave, table, iron board, hair dryer etc was all included for only $ 40 a night. Definitely worth the stay and highly recommended. Better than paying $ 100+ a night elsewhere and the place is run down. I wouldn’t pay over that especially if I’m not gonna be in the room the whole time. I saw other negative Unilocal reviews but maybe this place did a renovation? Not sure but my experience was of satisfaction. Customer service was excellent too. Nice people and friendly. I would recommend this place to my friends if they ever visit Columbus, OH l. It’s also a secured building with cameras all around outside and inside. Plus there’s always police on duty regardless bc it’s located between a Giant Eagle and a Waffle House that has the officers on duty every night. I’m a small asian chic alone out here and I felt secure. So yea… :)

If you’re looking for a no-frills, inexpensive place to stay, this hotel is it. It’s conveniently located close to downtown(although you should expect to pay for parking downtown, so factor that into the price), it’s in a safe area, and I only paid $ 48 for it during a convention. The room was clean, all of the amenities were there(including a fridge and microwave), and the heat worked just fine. There was even free breakfast in the morning. My ONLY complaint was that the florescent bulb in the bathroom flickered, which isn’t much of a complaint at all. I would definitely stay here again. I saw some of my friends’ rooms at the Hyatt(the hotel connected to the Convention Center) and, while they were pretty, they didn’t have near the amenities we did and they were four times more expensive.

The whole reason for weekend getaways is to go see a new city, or revisit a city I’d been neglecting for a long time. Such as my recent getaway to a really cool city, Columbus Ohio. It had been at least four years since my last visit three hours west of Pittsburgh. A lot has changed, and I must say for the good. I only hope Pittsburgh can do what Columbus has done with its downtown. Wow have I veered off course with this review of the Super 8 hotel… Located only six miles from downtown and N. High Street, this Super 8 has big, clean, comfortable rooms and by today’s prices SUPERCHEAP! A double with two queen sized beds was 54 dollars a night, with a Triple A discount it was 46.74. I thought they made a mistake at first and even called back to the front desk to check. I looked around the room for a chalkline drawing of a body, but there wasnt one. The room was more like a suite with a microwave, fridge, and sofa. It’s within walking distance of Helen’s Asia Kitchen, a Waffle House, Skyline Chili, Giant Eagle, and a GetGo. With prices like this, it makes weekend getaways a lot less painful for the wallet. By staying at a Super 8 you collect points for Westin Rewards too. So why only three stars? Quite simply, only 23 stations on the television and low flow showers heads. By the way, what I was getting at, when you travel, and plan on spending a lot of time out and about, I normally don’t concern myself about the hotel room, as long as its clean and safe. This was, and as a bonus, 47 bucks a night!
