This glorified patch of grass known as «Ponce Circle Park» is host to one of the best monthly events in Miami. Every first friday of the month between 7−11pm, the Kiwanis of Little Havana put together a great little show for local artists to display and sell their work. They also have live music featuring everything from jazz, latin funk, and DJs keeping the crowd entertained. And yes, they have booze. Chivas had a tent last time I went, as did Samuel Adams. If you fancy a drink, you must first purchase tickets at the main tent, which you can redeem for liquor at the same tent or beer at the smaller one. They had a special last time, $ 10 for 5 beers. Not a bad deal. Parking is an issue, so I suggest leaving your car at any of the metered spots in the surrounding area and walking to the park. It’s a short walk, so don’t worry. They do have Porta-Potties set up, in case you’re wondering. Note: In case you’re having a hard time finding the«park», it’s the oval-shaped lot right on Ponce de Leon Blvd between Sevilla and Palermo Ave.
