5 personas. Fuimos Ayer Domingo a probar el brunch. Excelente. El sitio, el ambiente, la comida… de verdad bueno. Lo mejor el servicio, tuvimos la suerte de disfrutar del servicio de Andrew, un profesional fuera de serie. Repetiremos seguro.

Great experience. Dropped in around 6 on a Saturday. Happened to be happy hour. ½ off alcohol and appetizers. Had a Goode Island IPA for $ 3.25 and the Gnocchiala Parisienne(Gnocchi, be games, & cheese) for $ 6. The Gnocchi was the best I’ve had.

Chicken in red wine made me feel like I was in the 3rd arrondissement again. Wonderful atmosphere. Great service. I cannot complain. The orange crêpe is a MUST.

If you’re looking for a simple quick lunch then this place is probably fine. Coming here for a special occasion or date will leave you disappointed. The staff is friendly but they are poorly trained. A lot of their actions will leave you scratching your head. The food itself is just average. I would skip this place unless you’re already shopping at the mall and you make a pitstop out of convenience.

Service is very French so be warned. The moules frites are good but other plates are not too impressive. Authenticity isn’t too good. I ordered a scoop of sorbet and it cost me $ 8! Not one of my favorites.

I hadn’t been down to Merrick Park in a really long time, so when my friend suggested dinner at Brasserie Central, I was excited to check out the area to see if anything had changed since I last hung out there. The restaurant is very cute and you feel like you’re transported out of Miami. Service was friendly, but a little slow. They let me sample the house wine before ordering, which was nice. P. S. Skip the house wine. The other glass of wine I ordered was good though. We ordered charcuterie and some cheese. The platter was large. I thought it was overpriced at first, but once it came out and I realized how large the small platter was, I changed my mind. It was actually a good value. We also ordered the french onion soup and the salad lyonnaise(salad with poached egg and bacon). Both were delicious and were generous portions. We were going to order dessert, but everything was larger than we expected, so we were way too full for anything else. It’s definitely a spot to consider if you’re in Merrick Park!

Sunday 12 noon, mall just opened … Table For four please … «Do you have reservation ??». No! Hostess goes and check«Hmm let me see, outside only or these two tables by the toilets and exit door» which means I would need to split the kids! Not my idea of a family brunch. Of course empty tables of four maybe x2 and then the usual … «These are reserved or You may seat here as well. In line». Well, No thanks !!! Left to eat at villagio… When you fix the sitting arrangement«Pascal» we may come back!

The atmosphere is casual Chìc with a great patio outside. My girlfriend and I went for drinks and dessert — I had the sangria Blanche and it was delicious but needed a little more alcohol. The bread pudding on the other hand was close to orgasmic! It was warm and yummilicious! My friend had the Orange crepes which were almost as flavorful. On a side note the servers in their suspenders looked equally delish Will definitely be back!

We went today for the first time and it will be our last. The only reason I gave one star is because the mussels were good. The rest of the meal was a disaster. My husband ordered the Trout with gratin potatoes tasteless. I don’t even remember the name of what I ordered but it came in a pot with truffle and Apples, it looked like a sausage but was not a sausage. It was horrible, the mash potatoes tasted like the ones you buy in boxes. The manager came and asked about the food and I told him about my plate. He asked if I wanted something else but at that point I was over it. My daughters burger was dry. I was still hungry since I didn’t really eat my meal so I ordered the bread pudding and my daughter ordered the crepes. Needless to say that it was as bad as the entrees. Total bill $ 204. It was frustrating to pay that amount for such a mediocre food and leave hungry.

It’s a long way from Balthazar to the Merrick Park mall. Brasserie Central is a conveniently located, authentic looking brasserie with strangely bland dishes. Pretty much every dish we sampled needed to be spiced up a notch or two here. Even the roasted garlic spread was tasteless.(Maybe too much spice would violate mall guidelines?) I do like the setting and the quietly friendly spirit, though, and hope this place could spice its dishes up more than a bit. And perhaps I will come back down the road.

Beautiful gem in Merrick Parkway. Service was friendly and so professional. I can not say enough. The food was delicious and scrumptious ! Oyster shooters topped it all. We had enjoyed our time there we ended up staying longer than expected. We will be back. I can highly recommend this restaurant five stars !!!

I have been to Brasserie Central a handful of times. Normally I sit in the bar area outside but once I sat inside at a table. I enjoy the outside bar area because it is covered from the elements and gets a bit of a breeze. It’s a great place to sit and people watch on a sunny afternoon and have a few drinks. The food I’ve had there is decent, but not excellent. The gnocchi appetizer, which is in no way healthy, is the best thing I’ve had on the menu. It is creamy and cheesy and the gnocchi are fluffy and light. For a healthier appetizer, I like the artichoke, just make sure they give it to you with the sauce because they forgot to give me the sauce the first time I ordered it and it was pretty bland. I ordered the mussels once and a lot of them were closed, so we never have ordered that again. The service is ok but not excellent. They have bread with roasted garlic that they can give you at the beginning but they usually don’t unless you ask for it. The bar area service is best in most places and I think the same holds true at this restaurant. Overall, this is a solid option in Merrick Park but if you aren’t in or around Merrrick Park you don’t need to travel to it.

C’est magnifique!!! Happy hour with one dollar fresh delicious oysters that taste of sea breeze! Champagne and half-price appetizers at happy hour make it one of the best in town in my opinion. I had 3 oysters, Champagne, Gnocchi A La Parisienne(Gratinee with bechamel and gruyére cheese), and the gaufrette for a dessert treat, which was bigger than I expected, making my happy hour appetizer meal complete and filling. I came in expecting a light bite at happy hour, ended up satisfied until the next day. Not only was the food great, the menu authentic and varied, but the atmosphere reminded me of being in Paris, which I miss so much, merci beaucoup Brasserie Central!!! Note that one dollar happy hour specials are in effect for those sitting at the bar, where I found myself with three other single professional women also in love with the French food and atmosphere. Paris amour!

First off, with a reservation and walking in first, the hostess decided to seat some other group before us as if we weren’t even there. Luckily, the manager noticed and HE seated us. He also took our order since we didn’t even get as much as water for 20 minutes of sitting there. I had the escargot and the clams, my friends had the gnocchi. In my opinion, they were all a little bland, not very flavorful. The clams seems a bit undercooked also which I wasn’t crazy about, but I ate them. The table next to us had ordered the cheeses with meats and that did look delicious, but I can only rate on what we ate and experienced. Personally, I would go again, sit and have some cheese with my wine, but that’s really about it.

Cute little French place to enjoy a glass of wine and a cheese platter. That is exactly what I did. Sat at the outside bar with another friend. The water was polite and nice, but nothing memorable. We were also sitting next to the check out screen, so waiters were constantly moving bedside me while grabbing drinks and printing receipts. It was a little distracting and I felt like part of the staff. We each ordered a glass of wine, which came in a stemless glass and I thought was unique then other places. The cheese platter was a joke. You can order by the piece, so we went with 3 pieces for $ 15. The pieces were literally bite size. No kidding. We made it work between the two of us and it ended up being an enjoyable light bite(do not order if you’re very hungry). The jam actually had a very interesting taste to it, and I would probably go back just to enjoy that jam with the cheese and baguette. The staff was friendly and a waiter who was not serving us actually stopped to ask if we were enjoying the wine that we chose. Overall, it was an average experience. I would be willing to give it a second try.

Grabbed a quick bite and a glass of wine with my sister here. Brasserie Central opened recently in Merrick Park, across from Yardhouse. It has a nice ambience, and we chose to sit in the family style high table. Service was good: prompt and attentive. I appreciate when your water glass is refilled quickly, and they were great about that. You are started with a baguette(which could be served warmer) and a bulb of roasted garlic. They definitely deserve credit for this as it’s a delicious concept I’ve never seen done in any other restaurant. We split the salad lyonnaise, frisée served with a soft poached egg, bacon Lardon and croutons. The dressing was a perfectly light smokey vinaigrette, that was savory and complimentary to the salad. We also ordered 6 escargot de Bourgogne. Very enjoyable. Be sure to ask for extra bread(which they aren’t stingy about) to dip into the buttery garlic sauce the escargot leave behind. The place is competitively priced considering its location and the reality that it’s a French restaurant. Kudos to Chef Oudin! Wishing you much success.

I’m generally pretty forgiving with newly opened restaurants, and Brasserie Central is one of them. The food here was fine: had a really nice(albeit overdressed) endive and beet salad to start, and burgers all ’round for our table. The star of the burger plate were the fries… small thin French-style ‘frites’ perfectly seasoned. The burgers themselves were fine, but really overcooked and dry; my ‘medium’ was definitely a ‘well’. I also made the gaffe of asking for ketchup, and found it a little strange that they didn’t have any bottles or jars of it… the server returned with a splat on a dinner plate. I felt like my condiments were being rationed! Classic French options here: French onion soup, escargot, beef tartare, moules frites, and croque monsieur/madame. I heard one of the chefs speaking French so, y’know #officiallylegit. The wine selection was good, the beer came with a frosted glass, and the coffee was… ok. My biggest issue is with the staff. The servers(we had two over the course of the meal) were great, but the two female hostesses were really aggressive. When we were just wandering around the plaza assessing options and looking at the posted menus, one of them approached us to «sell» the Brasserie to us; she was not slick, and her«pitch» was really off-putting(even though the group consensus was still that we wanted to try the place out). The second hostess spent most of her meal standing by us(we were outside) laughing with her friends/colleagues, and then when I was helping one of my friends with limited mobility through the door of the restaurant she barged through in an attempt to squeeze past(see: not graciously help me, or hold the door, etc.). Just kinda weird behaviour, and enough to turn me off the vibe of the place. Unilocal note: I love the wide range of options for seating: sit outdoors, indoors, at the bar… many an option!

Yes, yes I KNOW the service leaves much to be desired unless you sit at the bar. The food is a hit or miss; you HAVE To know what to order. Don’t expect great: –Stonecrab claws(they stick to the shell) –escargot– it’s just butter, no salt just… meh Instead get a steak tartare– it’s a tad richer than most places but still pretty good. The fries are nice and crispy. The entrecôte is just fine, so is the duck confit– nothing crazy. The winner so far has been the white boudin that is surprisingly decadent without the blood. The apples in the little cast iron pot definitely make this usually blandish sausage a little more palatable… The gravy ties it in and you might just scoop it like a soup… you terrible little pig you. But yes. All missed marks aside, we’d still come back, the little Cuban man playing the accordion is pretty adorable and makes great convo.

Walking in, I was really excited to try a newer addition to the Merrick Park Mall. The atmosphere of Brasserie Central definitely reflected a bistro setting, attesting to its French nature. Atmosphere was really nice and added to my favor in the giving of stars. The waiter was new but well versed with the menu itself. I had just come from a workout and was looking to order something hearty so I got the regular burger. Seated next to the kitchen, I was able to see the discussion ensue: my burger had come out of the kitchen as a cheeseburger. The line staff recognized prior to it making it to our table and it was sent back. In my mind, I had imagined a new one to be made. Getting my burger too quickly, I assessed the situation and the cheese had merely been scraped off and remnants of the cheese still remained. As someone who cannot eat cheese, this is unacceptable, especially because the dish I ordered was without. Had I had a dish and asked for a special order to take it off, things might have been different. I addressed it to the staff and they changed it, but had I not they would have left it as is. I hope if I come back, they are better prepared for these situations, particularly because we were there before the lunch rush. There really was no excuse.
