I like this place, a lot. Maybe it’s because in Palm Beach County where I live, we don’t have any real german place. The food is good, the beer… what do you think?! This is a great place to watch some soccer, with a nice german beer, and some good food. The décor reminds more of a Kneipe than a restaurant(Kneipe is a pub-style of eatery in Germany). I definitely will be back as soon as I am in the area. We need a place like this in West Palm Beach! Bitte, Fritz & Franz, Oeffnen Sie eine neue Kneipe in PB County!

I organized a group dinner for 15 people on a Monday night. I called 3 days prior to make a reservation(so they would be expecting a group our size). When we arrived, the place was dead… which is fine, but then there’s no excuse for slow or bad service. Long story short, the service was REALLYSLOW, most of the entrees were cold when served to the table, and one entrée was forgotten and had to be made after everyone else got their food. We still had a great time because we were celebrating but disappointing experience.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon on the next to last day of Oktoberfest. It was a little quieter than I expected. Nonetheless this was a very good experience. The restaurant has a nice bier hall vibe with bench seating. Plenty of large screen tv’s to watch soccer and piped in upbeat German music. The sausage sampler of bratwurst, sausage and knockwurst with potato salad and sauerkraut were all delicious. Very good Warm apple strudel completed the meal. Service was quick and courteous. Overall a good dining experience for something different.

It’s Octoberfest and we were looking for a place to go. We decided upon this place and I’m glad that we did. As we drove towards the place, we heard music and saw tons of people and tables and that looked like tons of fun to me! We parked and finally got there and we’re ready to get our food and drink on! I looked at the beer tents and unfortunately no angry orchard or cider, but I decided upon the Octoberfest beer. I then looked around and wanted to eat something different, we decided upon the bratwurst with curry. I was so hungry and a little tipsy and I forgot to take a picture of my food :(but I went back up to take pics of the other food and the giant pretzel. I also ordered the potato salad, which I thought tasted good, but JP didn’t like. We do recommend that you put mustard on everything, because that stuff is delicious! So slop on the mustard! The music was great! I never saw a German man sing gagnum style with such passion! The music was polka and hyper techno and remixed hits of classic songs, which was a lot of fun to dance in your seat and sing along to. If I had angry orchard and a but more of a buzz perhaps I would be gotten the courage to polka with my man. Lol… Check this place out! Ohh one more thing, tried the chocolate cake… it was ok but definately get it with Icecream or extra whipped cream.

Best place in Miami for German food and to watch soccer! The ambiance is great and the food and service is delicious! They have the best bartenders in Chris and Nick during the day and evening with the best service and always a story to tell! They throw a fantastic Oktoberfest which you have to attend at least once if you want to watch soccer, they have a ton of TV’s. I have been there for UEFA and World Cup matches and the place is packed and it is a great party! I cannot say anything bad as I have been going about once a month for the last ten years.

Four stars for Das Boot! Honestly, my sister and I loved this place. We felt like we were some of the youngest people in there(young-mid 20s), but this place has such a laid back environment that who cares. We got there at about 8 p.m. and there were a couple people there, but not many. It did get more crowded by midnight when we left. I love the benches, because you can share a table with strangers who will become friends. We ended up going whole hog and both of us got Das Boot. This is 2L of beer each. This was our downfall for the night, but boy was it fun. Never again will I attempt to drink an entire boot myself. My sister made it through, but she paid for it with a hangover the next day. I also got a pretzel. I don’t think it was worth the $ 9, but it was pretty big and the butter it came with was delicious. The fact that it soaked up the alcohol made it worth it, but I probably wouldn’t get it on any old night. If you are in the area I would definitely suggest stopping by this place!

They should seriously add the no star option for this one. What a horrible place. The service was so slow! The food tasted like a frozen TV dinner. The waiter took very long to process my card, my bf had to get up and ask what was going on. Just plain horrible. Never coming here again!

Rude! On more than one occasion the staff has been very unpleasant. I wish I could give 0 stars and report them to the authorities for witnessing the staff over pouring an already intoxicated patron. He later went into the bathroom and tried punching holes in the tiled walls. Classic! «I’ll have what he’s having» The weizen sucks anyway. I spent a year in Heidelberg so i can testify to a good liter of Weizen.

If there’s an important soccer match going on, Fritz & Franz is the place to be! I was here for the most intense moments of the World Cup, the Real Madrid vs. Barcelona, and the final of the Copa America. When there are popular matches going on, they are always very well prepared for the crowd and include screens all over the place and even extend their seating. During the World Cup, it was a bit difficult to get a beer from a waitress because they were so busy. However, they also sell beer from a bar outside. The service may not be excellent due to the fact that it gets so crowded, but everyone has always been very friendly. Concerning the food, when I visited they had a special menu for the Copa America. They only offered Warsteiner dark or light and a few other options for beer. For food, they had about 10 different items to choose from. We decided on the dark Warsteiner and the Bierhaus burger cooked medium. Even though it was really crowded, the food came out fast and was still hot from the grill. The burger was cooked perfectly; so juicy and delicious! The bacon was crispy and gave it its own flavor. My brother had the Schnitzel and I’m guessing it was delicious as well since he ate everything on his plate. Next time, I’ll come a bit earlier as well to have their food. Indeed, this is the perfect place for good beer, descent bar food, and a great soccer match. Definitely my favorite sports bar!

Love it!!! Went on a Saturday night and it was not packed. As soon as you walk in you notice the relax, European vibe… a live band was playing good music. Our waiter was super kind and guide us through the food and beer menu. The Beer was delicious and cold! The sausages where yummy! I really enjoyed the ambiance, I love places that make me want to go on vacation lol. Prices are not bad. Will definitely go back really soon…

If you want a taste of authentic German food at a reasonable price in a laid-back atmosphere, then this is your place. The pretzels come out hot from the oven, and you can ask for a mild/sweet mustard that isn’t as spicy as the regular brown mustard they keep on the table. I actually like to mix a little of each kind and still get that sinus blast! The potato salad and the spatzle taste just like my grandma’s. The 2 for 1 schnitzel(on Mondays and Tuesdays) is a great deal. If there’s no metered street parking available(which is likely), there is a municipal parking garage at the corner. Just park and take the elevator down to street level. Their Oktoberfest event is really well done and features authentic musicians and food in a very lively atmosphere. You will honestly forget that you are in South Florida. I was bummed to learn their Fort Lauderdale location has closed.

Fritz & Franz is a staple in the Coral Gables bar community, but don’t expect to be blown away or impressed. My friends and I stopped here for a beer and to watch some basketball after dinner on Miracle Mile. Although the beer was delicious and there were televisions a plenty, I have an issue with the Bierhaus: the ambiance is a bit much. I understand that it is a German Bierhaus, but the get-up that they have the waitresses dress in is not only degrading, but a bit offensive. I actually felt bad for the waitresses, they seemed really sad. Obviously some patrons want to see the restaurant operating in an authentic bierhaus manner, but for most in the Coral Gables neighborhood, I don’t think the cleavage and high skirts are completely necessary(there’s a Hooters a mile or two down Miracle Mile for that). The entire staff acted as though they were in pain, like it was a struggle for them to be there. Just an observation that we had. Overall though, the beer was great and the price was very reasonable for the size of the beer(1 liter). You can also get a 2L boot, which I think is just great. We didn’t have any food, so I cannot attest to its quality or lack thereof.

Audi’s & hefeweizen what do they have in common. One drives like a dream, and the other will put you in a dream after to many lol. Ok so they are both German. So today in a spare of the moment went to lunch at Friz I only work a couple blocks away. The atmosphere is very late back. I have being here before for many festival and some great beer tasting. The beer garden is nice with plenty of space. Today I had the sausage sandwich(insert German name here) I really like it and it came with a delicious potatoe salad. My server was Lourdes and she was very friendly. Also, they have great spicy brown mustard that really will clean up your sainecess. Check out the pic and go German.

I came here for dinner tonight with a group of 14, and I know big groups can be a pain! We sat outside at a long table and there was a band playing loudly but it was the best option for us. Our waiter was awesome and got our drink and food orders promptly. Where our night went downhill was when one of the food runners(or maybe a disgruntled server?) brought out food several times and gave us the worst attitude most of us had ever experienced at an establishment. Yes, it’s loud and difficult to hear at times but that doesn’t mean you should treat us horribly and make rude comments and state some«playful» fighting words then speedwalk away from the table. Seriously, this guy left us with a horrible impression. I was speechless at what this employee of a restaurant that we were dining at dis to us. One guy in our group immediately complained to the management and they tried to redeem it with shots which he politely declined and even though they still gave them to us(thank you), it wasn’t exactly what we were looking for to make up for their d*** of a server. The food was great, the band was fun and we really would have had an awesome time here if it wasn’t for that guy with the serious attitude problem.

Great spot! If you are a fan of beer, German food, and sports then you should definitely check this place out. It’s very unique in comparison to the other bars around in that it is very open– they have big picnic tables inside which is great for a big crowd. It’s nice to have a German spot in the area!

Had a great time at Fritz and Franz on Friday! Our server was so attentive and sweet. Throughout the night we had at least 3 people attending us. We had the pretzel as an appetizer, so cool and different. As our entrée we had the sausage sampler and it was a generous portion as well as delicious. Can’t wait to go back! Finally, we had an apple schnapps shot as a ‘digestif’. It was delicious. Beer and wine was on point in price and taste. All the while there was a wonderful live band. I love the shared tables as well as the overall ambiance. Looking forward to returning!

I used to love this restaurant. But they have lack off on their customer service a lot! Down to the point that I brough then down from four stars down to 1… Here’s the reason why: I love the 2×1 schnitzel on Mondays and Tuesdays and I don’t usually have the time to go down to Coral Gables, but when family is in town, its a MUST(used to, at least). So I went to the page to make sure it was on before making the trip down and apparently it was… Well… It wasnt… Not just the deal but the entrée itself. There was an special event so they weren’t serving it that day… So frustrated by the misinformation we left but we were told by the waiter(who was«sorry» about it) to come back next Monday because they were going to have it for sure… So we tried it again… Planned it… Took the trip… Guess what??? They were closed!!! They were cleaning up from the event!!! I mean: COMEON!!! Keep your customers informed!!! That’s what social media is for!!! Not just to bomb you with advertisement!!! That’s the kind of things that takes a loyal customer out of your revenue.
